No NCAA tournament this year, but people are still projecting and simulating what could have been. Bracketologist Joe Lunardi has BYU playing Gonzaga today in the Elite Eight, with a shot at BYU's first appearance in the Final Four. The 2k8 Reddit stream did have BYU advancing to the Sweet Sixteen, but a scratched disk has postponed the tournament.
Matt Baiamonte recaps BYU Spring Football practice on Monday, March 9th. Coach Kalani Sitake says he's been most impressed with Troy Warner so far, who has made big plays during scrimmages. Matt got a chance to talk to Fesi Sitake and Sitake mentioned Neil Pau'u, Gunner Romney & Dax Milne as the three WR's that have emerged so far. He expects the three WR's to get a healthy amount of snaps and are building towards big roles in the fall. Sitake mentions Chris Jackson and Kody Epps as guys who could potentially fill the role of Aleva Hifo last year; a pass-catcher who could take handoffs in the backfield.
