On today's episode of “Fearless,” Jason explains why it is Disney to blame and not Shedeur Sanders for his Pro Bowl spot. Shedeur Sanders received a Pro Bowl despite ranking last in nearly every key statistical barometer for QBs with 200+ pass attempts. This wasn't an earned accomplishment; it was a reward, awarded by Disney to draw a TV audience for the game that once was a cherished accomplishment but is now merely a promotion for the growth of flag football. Disney has partnered with the NFL to sell tickets and draw eyes to this exhibition. Steve Kim joins Jason to discuss Shedeur; whether a young coach like Nathan Scheelhaase should risk his career taking over the Cleveland Browns; and whether Deion Sanders' intent to fine his college players will work. Stephen A. Smith said Ryan Clark should have been considered for the Pittsburgh Steelers' head coaching opening, and he was serious. Jason closes the show explaining that black Americans practice an inferior culture. The Bills can clinch a playoff spot with a win and some help from across the league Sunday. Also, what's next for the Sabres with a new GM in charge? Channel 7 Sports Director Matt Bové gives his thoughts.
We take a brief look back at the win over the Indianapolis Colts, and Jason Myers incredible performance with six field goals, before looking ahead with optimism at the Rams game on Thursday night. Concerns about offensive consistency continue, but if the offense can convert their scoring drives to touchdowns and continue to limit turnovers, Coach Macdonald has seemed to find a way to limit the Rams explosive offense. Defensively, Seattle should even be able to improve with Jarran Reed in the lineup after missing the first Rams game, Ernest Jones seemingly healthy in comparison and Julian Love back in the lineup. Missing Devonte Adams could be big, although he only had the one catch for a touchdown in the last match. The weather could prove to be a challenge for both teams, with rain in the forecast as well as gusting winds. In the second half of the show, we talk about how some Rams fans have their eye on Joe Burrow considering his recent comments. But could a team like the Dallas Cowboys or Philadelphia Eagles make more sense? On this latest edition of Tunnel Vision USCFootball.com's Ryan Abraham, Connor Morrissette (aka "Triple-Double") and intern Riley Sager are back in studio recapping USC's 42-27 loss to Oregon, knocking the Trojans out of the College Football Playoff picture. Facing the No. 7 ranked Ducks, the No. 15 Trojans needed to play a clean game in Autzen Stadium and unfortunately it was anything but from Lincoln Riley and company. Major special teams blunders, including a leaping penalty on a punt and punt return for a touchdown, put points directly on the board for Oregon and that was simply too much for the Trojans to overcome. The crew breaks down the game, discussing what went right for the Men of Troy and what went wrong, and how the Ducks provided a real opportunity for an upset with some sloppy play of their own. Offensively USC put up 100 more passing yards than any of Oregon's opponents this season, but Jayden Maiava did have two costly interceptions and the run game was essentially non existent. Defensively USC played better in the second half but just couldn't get enough stops to slow down the Ducks potent offense. Special teams was an absolute disaster, starting with a kickoff out of bounds, a kick catch interference call, leaping that took away a USC stop and led to a Ducks touchdown, giving up a punt return for a touchdown and then a missed short field goal. At a minimum that cost USC 17 points in a game it lost by 15. Despite the loss, the potential for 10 wins is still a major improvement over last season, but being unable to pull off a win in any of the three toughest road games is a tough pill to swallow for the Trojans. The Milwaukee Brewers won the most games this season with their impressive and dynamic play on the field.
