Last night there was a huge breakthrough in Ukraine peace talks, with Zelensky accepting a US proposal for a ceasefire and placing ‘the ball in Putin's court', according to Marco Rubio. While getting Zelensky to accept is a huge diplomatic win, the proposal hinges on Putin agree to the terms of the ceasefire – which will last for 30 days but can be extended by mutual agreement. ‘I'll talk to Vladimir Putin. It takes two to tango,' said Donald Trump. Can Putin afford to reject the deal? And could this be the basis for a lasting peace? Meanwhile, Keir Starmer has been getting a lot of credit for his role in the Ukraine peace process and the perception that he has stepped up to meet the crisis. How instrumental was the UK in bringing about the ceasefire, or is this Trump's deal? And how does the news that the UK won't get an exemption from the president's 25 per cent tariffs on steel undermine the US–UK relationship? Oscar Edmondson speaks to Katy Balls and Mark Galeotti, head of the Mayak Intelligence consultancy. Produced by Oscar Edmondson.
It came as little surprise that Vladimir Putin was re-elected president of Russia last weekend as he has crushed the opposition during his quarter-century in power. Read on for today's agenda below prepared by David (thank you very much). - Retired US Diplomat to 5 different nations David Hunter shares his knowledge, passion, interest, and experience.1) Will Russia Halt It's War in Ukraine in 2023?: After ten months of combat, Russia is stretched thin with supply of rockets and drones, being forced to buy some from North Korea and Iran. Putin just drafted some 300,000 new 'enlistees', being rushed to the front with little or no training, and lack of winter equipment. On New Years Eve, Ukraine rockets killed or wounded hundreds of Russian troops in their barracks. Can Putin keep up his offensive much longer? 2) Are Chinese -Russian Relations Getting Warmer?: Putin held a video summit w/ Pres. Xi on Dec 30th, 2022. and invited Xi to visit him in Moscow next spring. Is this a new axis of evil? What is going on? 3) Is Mainland China Going to Invade Taiwan in 2023?: The US Biden administration has committed $10 billion in new military support for Taiwan. In 2022, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited that island personally, to great protest of PRC President Xi. Are there any indications the situation is reaching a boiling point?4) Will North Korea do a Nuclear Weapons Test in 2023?: Dear Leader Kim Jung Un has been testing missiles at a furious rate in 2022, but has thus far not openly tested a nuclear bomb since 2017. Do you think he will do so in 2023, and if so, what will be the consequences?
After Ukraine's stunning Kharkiv counter-offensive, Vladimir Putin has doubled down on his war against Ukraine, announcing a large military mobilization, threatening nuclear use, and pressing ahead with referenda in territories Russia has seized from Urkaine. Can Putin salvage his campaign? Michael Kofman helps us understand these issues and more, encouraging people to think more temporally about Russia's mobilization pipeline and delivering a warning: We are in uncharted territory.

Today's show focuses primarily on how Democrats used Abortion as a fundraising ploy but never cared to pass a law protecting it. Plus Ukraine, and the recent attack on Dave Chapelle. The Democrats had decades to pass a law making abortion legal. They didn't. Now Nancy Pelosi says she wants to pass that law, but at the same time supports anti abortion Democrats like Congressman Henry Cuellar. New evidence has emerged showing Joe Biden could have done more to stop Putin's invasion of Ukraine. Dave Chapelle was attacked by a homeless lunatic. Why was Chapelle's security team allowed to break the guy's arm and then stomp him in the face? Topics: Dave Chappelle physically attacked on stage; Federal Reserve raises interest rates; Stock Market tanks; Progressive Champion Nina Turner loses big in Ohio primary; Does Putin have cancer?; Is America helping Ukraine kill all those Russian generals?; Nancy Pelosi says she wants legislation that enshrines a woman's right to choose, so why is she endorsing Pro Life Congressman Henry Cuellar instead of Jessica Cisneros? Did he really invade Ukraine because he felt threatened by NATO and America's influence in the East, or has he planned his attack for decades? Did Donald Trump collude with Russia? How come Putin didn't attack Ukraine during Trump's presidency? Is America a Paper Tiger? Is Putin beholden China? Can Putin be stopped? Are Biden's sanctions really hurting Putin? Russian comedian Oleg Denisov joins the show from Moscow to report back on the anti-Putin protest he attended in Pushkinskaya Square surrounding Alexi Navalny's arrest. With Putin's only rival now out of the way, the question becomes "Can Putin be stopped?"
