The world is heading toward a new nuclear arms race—one that's more chaotic and dangerous than the last. The Cold War built rules of deterrence for a world of dueling superpowers and static arsenals. But in a fragmented, GZERO world of fast-moving technology and unpredictable leadership, the safeguards are fraying. On the GZERO World Podcast, Admiral James Stavridis, former Supreme Allied Commander of NATO, sits down with Ian Bremmer to discuss the growing nuclear threat and what we can do to stop it. The indicators are alarming: China is stockpiling nuclear warheads at record speed. Russia continues to rattle its nuclear saber in Ukraine. Even US allies are privately and publicly questioning whether they need a deterrent of their own. So how serious is the nuclear risk? How do we guarantee security in a world where the weapons (and the rules) are changing? Are we ready for a future where not just missiles, but lines of code, could end civilization? Stavridis and Bremmer assess the current arms race and what it will take to lower the nuclear temperature.“We're already involved in a proxy war with a nuclear power,” Stavridis warns, “We'd be smart to try and continue to have strong alliances to balance China and Russia drawing closer and closer together.”Host: Ian BremmerGuest: Admiral James Stavridis Subscribe to the GZERO World with Ian Bremmer Podcast on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or your preferred podcast platform, to receive new episodes as soon as they're published.

In a sweeping discussion, the hosts cover the fallout after UPenn was forced to strip transgender swimmer Leah Thomas (Will Thomas) of titles and issue personal apologies to the displaced female athletes—sparking outrage and satire. They pivot to a sobering analysis of Iran's nuclear program, revealing that contrary to official claims, Iran retains significant enrichment capability deep within facilities like Isfahan and Pickaxe Mountain—many of which remain untouched and potentially operational. While the Pentagon admits Iran's program was set back by only 1–2 years, China's involvement and Trump's mixed signals on oil sanctions fuel suspicion that Iran's nuclear ambitions are far from over. The segment closes with speculation about whether new U.S. legislation authorizing B-2 bombers and bunker busters for Israel will preempt Iran's next moves before it's too late.
In this conversation, Benham Ben Taleblu discusses the recent military strikes in Iran, the implications for the regime, and the broader geopolitical dynamics in the Middle East. He highlights the collapse of Iran's deterrent architecture, the regime's current vulnerabilities, and the potential for foreign powers to influence the region. The discussion also touches on the future of Iran's nuclear program and the ongoing struggle between the state and society within Iran.Download the full transcript for free - https://throughconversations.kit.com/981dae6846Chapters00:00 Introduction to the Current Situation in Iran02:53 The Recent Military Actions and Their Implications05:52 Domestic and International Reactions09:08 The Role of Foreign Powers in the Middle East12:09 The Impact of Information Fragmentation15:06 Evaluating the Success of Military Campaigns18:05 The Connection Between Nuclear Capabilities and Regime Survival21:10 The Future of the Iranian Regime23:54 Regional Dynamics: Saudi Arabia and Turkey's Influence27:12 Potential Scenarios Post-Ceasefire29:57 Conclusion and Future OutlookBehnam Ben Taleblu is senior director of FDD's Iran Program, where he oversees the breadth and depth of FDD's work on Iran in addition to serving as a senior fellow specializing in Iranian security and political issues.Grab your copy of The Time is Now and start your journey toward living a more intentional and fulfilling life - https://a.co/d/aDYCQ9oJoin this channel to get access to exclusive perks:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCl67XqJVdVtBqiCWahS776g/join// Connect With Me //ORDER MY BOOK, THE TIME IS NOW: A GUIDE TO HONOR YOUR TIME ON EARTH: https://www.timeisnowbook.comWebsite: https://throughconversations.comSubstack - https://throughconversations.substack.comYouTube community -https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCl67XqJVdVtBqiCWahS776g/join// Social //X: https://x.com/ThruConvPodcastInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/thruconvpodcast/?hl=enYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCl67XqJVdVtBqiCWahS776g
In this riveting episode of Life Lessons with Dr. Bob, Israeli national security expert Jacob Nagel returns to share an unprecedented insider account of Israel's preemptive war against Iran. From the massive B-2 bomber strikes and the elimination of Iran's nuclear scientists to the destruction of missile stockpiles, Nagel explains how the operation was planned, why it succeeded so decisively, and what comes next for the Middle East.He details how Israel's doctrine shifted from deterrence to preemption, why the timing of the strike was critical, and how regional players—from Hezbollah to Saudi Arabia—are recalibrating in the aftermath. Finally, Nagel tackles the question: Is regime change the only permanent solution to the Iranian nuclear threat?Don't miss this extraordinary firsthand perspective on one of the most consequential military campaigns in modern history.#israeliranwar #israeldefenseforces #irannuclearprogram #middleeastconflict #iranisraelwar #iranvsisrael #israelnews
In back-to-back broadcasts, Tara dissects two critical developments shaping America's future. First, she takes listeners inside the heated GOP budget fight, exposing how Senate leadership—namely Lindsey Graham and John Thune—pushed for funding Medicaid for illegal immigrants and used accounting gimmicks to mask a $3.5 trillion deficit increase. Despite flashy claims of fiscal responsibility, Tara reveals that Trump's “Big Beautiful Bill” relies on unrealistic 3% growth projections and temporary tariff revenues that may soon vanish—highlighting deep fractures within the Republican party. Then, the focus shifts to Iran. Tara warns that the so-called “Twelve-Day War” is anything but over. Key uranium enrichment sites like Isfahan remain untouched by U.S. bunker busters, harboring Chinese-run reactors that pose a massive global threat. With Israel threatening to assassinate Iran's leadership and Trump signaling a willingness to strike again, the conflict teeters on the edge of escalation. At the same time, Tara celebrates a Supreme Court decision ending the power of liberal judges to impose nationwide injunctions against Trump—a move she says breaks the left's judicial chokehold. Together, these episodes paint a picture of high-stakes political warfare—foreign and domestic—that could define Trump's legacy and the nation's security.
In this concise yet powerful episode of Strategic Risk Assessment Talk, Retired Marine Intelligence Officer LtCol. Hal Kempfer explores the global implications of the recent U.S. military strikes targeting Iran's nuclear facilities. Utilizing advanced weaponry, including B-2 bombers carrying GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrators and submarine-launched Tomahawk missiles, the U.S. delivered a precise and impactful message about its unmatched military capability. We examine the immediate consequences of these operations, from Iran's retaliatory strike on Qatar's al-Udeid airbase to critical leaks of classified intelligence assessments concerning Iran's nuclear ambitions. Has Iran's nuclear program been set back months or years, and what does this mean for regional security, especially Israel and Gulf states? Will these events trigger a tipping point within Iran, potentially weakening or toppling the regime? Furthermore, we discuss the broader geopolitical implications, including the future of Iranian proxies, the Abraham Accords, and prospects for peace or confrontation in the Middle East.Takeaways:• U.S. demonstrated unmatched military precision in strikes against Iran's nuclear facilities.• Significant setbacks inflicted upon Iran's nuclear weapons development program.• Iran retaliated by targeting U.S.-used al-Udeid airbase near Doha, Qatar.• Controversial leak of classified intelligence assessments damages U.S. national security.• Ongoing uncertainty about exactly how far Iran has been set back—months or years?• Escalating risks if Iran moves toward nuclear weaponization—possible Israeli response.• Iranian regime's stability increasingly uncertain following recent U.S. and Israeli actions.• Possible regional shifts in alliances and security frameworks, including the Abraham Accords.#STRATPodcast #HalKempfer #MutualBroadcastingSystem #StrategicRiskAnalysis #Iran #USMilitary #NuclearThreat #MiddleEast #Geopolitics #NationalSecurity #Israel #AbrahamAccords #AyatollahKhamenei #MilitaryStrikes #ForeignPolicy #GBU57 #TomahawkMissiles #Qatar #RegionalStability #IranianRegime
Aaron McIntire reflects on a historic week as the Israel-Iran ceasefire holds and celebrates The A.M. Update hitting one million downloads. In the Friday Five Pack, President Trump ramps up pressure for the “big beautiful bill” with a White House event featuring Border Czar Tom Homan, who passionately defends its border security measures. Trump announces a finalized trade deal with China. Nestle joins other food giants in phasing out synthetic dyes by mid-2026, prompting questions about their prior use, while Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt partners with RFK Jr. to ban artificial dyes in schools and prisons and limit SNAP benefits for junk food. NYC's socialist mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani joins Jen Psaki, signaling national ambitions, while ex-Rep. Jamal Bowman blames black health disparities on racism-induced stress. A Michigan church security guard recounts stopping a would-be mass shooter. In Ask or Tell Me Anything, McIntire tackles Iran's nuclear threat, questioning why Iran is singled out compared to China or North Korea, and addresses whether pride is always sinful, distinguishing godly encouragement from self-righteous conceit. President Donald Trump just blew up Iran's nuclear program. That was the easy part. What Trump has done in arranging a tenuous ceasefire between Iran and Israel, after hammering the table with 14 MOPs dropped on Iran's most critical underground nuclear enrichment plants, is “a return to 19th Century Great Power projection,” says author and investigative reporter Peter Schweizer on the most recent episode of The Drill Down podcast. Co-host Eric Eggers adds, “the rizz is back.”
Today on Uncommon Sense with Ginny Robinson, we're hitting a hot topic: America jumping into the Israel-Iran war. And I'm just going to say it—I don't think we should've gotten involved. I've supported Donald Trump for years, but I think he got this wrong.Israel just said they didn't need us. This was their fight. Then suddenly, we're bombing a nuclear site and opening doors that didn't need to be opened. And of course, anyone who questions it gets labeled a “panican.” But guess what? The “panicans” are starting to look more and more like prophets, because now, sleeper cells are stirring, and American churches are already under attack. We don't need to be scared, we need to be wise. The Bible calls us to test the spirits, stay watchful, and seek peace when we can. (1 John 4:1, Romans 12:18). So let's talk about it honestly. Because loving your country (and even loving your favorite president) doesn't mean checking your discernment at the door and always being a yes-man.--https://policecoffee.com/collections/coffee

On Friday's Mark Levin Show, there's the horseshoe theory against Israel on Iran, which says that the radical left and right political ideologies, such as radical leftists (e.g., Communists, Islamists) and far-right groups (e.g., Klansmen, white supremacists, neo-Nazis, isolationists), converge in their views and actions, forming an alliance despite apparent differences. That's why we see Bernie Sanders agree with Chatsworth Qatarlson (Tucker Carlson) and Steve Bannon. Bannon claims Mark Levin, Sean Hannity, Kayleigh McEnany, and Fox News should be investigated for supporting Israel. One would think he would be careful about saying who should be investigated after his past. Matt Gaetz is back saying that Israel doesn't allow Arabs to vote, which is a flat-out lie. As time goes on these people all reveal themselves as the crazy people they are with no loyalty to President Trump or MAGA. Also, Trump is a historic figure leading efforts to counter Iran's nuclear ambitions. Israel's military actions, including destroying Iranian radar and weakening their defenses, make it easier for U.S. or Israeli forces to strike nuclear sites like Fordo. Americans are not warmongers or neo-cons. The American public supports these actions, rejects isolationism, and opposes being labeled warmongers by “fake MAGA” critics. Later, Gov Ron DeSantis calls in to explain Florida's efforts to evacuate Americans in Israel. The state evacuated 1,500 people, including college students and families, with two planeloads of 160-170 passengers already returned to Tampa. He emphasized the emotional relief of families, particularly those with young children, and Florida's commitment to continue the mission, utilizing resources like cruise ships to Cyprus for safe transport. DeSantis also discusses his push to reform property taxes in Florida, focusing on exempting primary residences (homesteaded properties) from property taxes. Homeowners don't truly own their homes if they must continuously pay property taxes, as failure to pay could result in government seizure. Finally, Alexander Hamilton's view of liberty and government contrasted sharply with that of Thomas Jefferson and James Madison, favoring a stronger, more centralized federal authority. While Madison, in Federalist No. 45, emphasized that the Constitution granted the federal government limited, defined powers—primarily over external affairs like war and foreign commerce—leaving broad authority to the states, Hamilton advocated for a more robust national government. At the Constitutional Convention, he proposed a powerful executive and legislature with lifelong terms, reflecting his preference for centralized control, though these ideas were swiftly rejected. Despite his role in co-authoring the Federalist Papers to support the Constitution's ratification, Hamilton's vision aligns with modern proponents of an activist government, contributing to his popularity among contemporary elites in media, politics, and academia, as evidenced by Hamilton the musical. What would actually happen if a nuclear weapon were detonated in space? This isn't just the stuff of science fiction — it's a scenario that researchers have studied closely, and the implications are deeply unsettling. From disrupting satellite a nuclear detonation in space would have immediate, global consequences — even without a single casualty on the ground. In today's episode, we're exploring how our growing dependence on space-based infrastructure — for communications, surveillance, and national security — is changing the conventional calculus around nuclear deterrence. How are major nuclear powers, including Russia, responding to this shifting landscape? Are we on the verge of a space-based nuclear arms race? And what can be done now to preserve space as a peaceful domain? My guest is Bill Hennigan, author of the At the Brink series, which We recorded this conversation live at the Carnegie International Nuclear Policy Conference — and it's a fascinating look into how the nuclear order may be evolving in ways that are still underappreciated.

President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke yesterday about “trade, Iran, etc.” and are “on the same side on every issue.” Hopefully, that means no further extensions of the U.S.-Iranian disarmament negotiations past this weekend. Otherwise, there's a real risk the mullahs will succeed in foreclosing the only outcome with a chance of precluding them from acquiring and probably using nuclear weapons – namely, their forcible removal from power. More time invites the regime in Tehran to declare it's acquired such weapons, transforming the calculus of contending with the threat it poses. Alternatively, more time allows Iran's Chinese and Russian allies, fresh from military exercises with an increasingly problematic Egypt – to increase their regional presence, arguably making an attack on the ayatollahs too risky. Therefore, Trump and Netanyahu must stop the Iranian nuclear threat, without further delay. This is Frank Gaffney.
On Monday's Mark Levin Show, the passing of Pope Francis is deeply saddening for Catholics and non-Catholics, following his recent meeting with J.D. Vance and Easter ceremonies. The papacy holds immense significance, with Pope John Paul II widely revered as an influential modern leader and freedom fighter who played a key role in the Soviet Union's downfall. Afterward, we could be on the precipice of Iran developing a nuclear warhead with an ICMB aimed at America if things don't turn out right in the Iranian negotiations. If there is to be some kind of deal it would have to ensure that inspectors from the U.S., or the E.U actually get to inspect anywhere at any time but it's doubtful Iran would permit that. President Obama led Iran's path to a nuke, President Biden helped fund and protect Iran, and it will be left to President Trump to say that's enough. We are looking terrorists in the eye who are threatening tens of millions of us with death as they are developing nuclear weapons and are within weeks of succeeding. Is there any generation of Americans before us that would not have dealt a deadly blow to such an enemy before they could destroy us? Will we be the first? It's not as if this is the imagination of the "warmongers" run amok. And how insane are those who demand that we essentially ignore this threat or appease it in some fashion? Later, the media's fixation on Abrego Garcia is sickening. He received due process before an immigration law judge and a board, was ordered deported, but evaded authorities. The Democrats' support for Garcia reveals their hypocrisy. Their latest cause célèbre is an MS-13-affiliated domestic abuser who was already granted due process. Also, Justice Samuel Alito, joined by Justice Clarence Thomas, dissented in the Supreme Court's midnight order in A.A.R.P. v. Trump, which blocked the Trump administration from deporting Venezuelan migrants under the Alien Enemies Act, arguing the decision was hasty, premature, and lacked clear jurisdiction. When the Supreme Court brazenly violates its own precedent and, indeed, a federal statute as it did Saturday morning, can that order be ignored? What would the Framers say? All this talk about the administration not complying with this or that court, here we have the High Court violating process and the law and apparently, there is no recourse. Why aren't the TV lawyers jumping up and down about this? The reason is they have no problem with judicial tyranny. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
