G'sta peels back the layers of being a successful hip hop musician, producer and studio owner. A hip hop baby, Sean Self, known as G'sta, began writing and performing as a child in the 7th Ward of New Orleans, hitting his stride in the late 1990s.This year, G'sta celebrates 20 years of owning his own studio, So Stimulus Entertainment. He recently released “Classic Status” to celebrate hip hop's 50th anniversary. Along the way, he and his family escaped Hurricane Katrina, he hit rock bottom and faced deep depression over a failed music contract, and he reclaimed his self-esteem, rising to the top in Las Vegas, where he owns a home and lives with the love of his life.G'sta talks openly about embracing his corporate self while fueling the creativity that has never left him, fusing the two with a new vision of licensing the personal brand he has created.G'sta's collaborators and shoutouts (a selection, in no particular order):DJ Blaknificent, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Money Shot Chris, L.A. Our Score - 7.07/10 (B-) Rotten Tomatoes - 39% IMDB - 6.6/10 Chosen By: Brent Fruge On the surface, 'To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything! Julie Newmar' (1995) might seem like a gimmick; cast three manly men (Patrick Swayze, Wesley Snipes, and John Leguizamo) and have them act outrageous as a trio of drag queens on a road trip. This movie becomes so much more than that thanks to it's contagious positive message and three fantastic performances from the three leads.
