The whole crew from is all together in person for an expansive deep dive into the cultural touchstones that shaped a generation. In this episode, we move beyond surface-level takes to dissect the complex legacy of Eddie Murphy's iconic 1982–1992 film run, specifically examining Arsenio Hall's crucial role in sustaining Murphy's momentum during that era.   We also turn up the heat on our recurring music debates. We face the tough questions: Does Ludacris have a true "classic" album, and how do the legendary discographies of Toni Braxton and Donell Jones stack up against one another? We also pay respects to the 30-year legacy of UGK's Ridin Dirty, analyzing how Bun B and Pimp C fundamentally shifted the trajectory of Southern hip-hop. Beyond the music, we tackle the heavy hitters of pop culture—from the mysterious "Oscar Curse" that haunts award-winning actors to the ongoing discourse surrounding the need for a unified Juneteenth anthem. Plus, we discuss the A Different World reboot and the evolving struggle between maintaining celebrity privacy in the age of social media. 0:00 I Only Listen to 90s Music Intro 0:09 Cultural Significance and Costs of Prom Celebrations  3:44 Nostalgic Reflections on Music and Memories from the 2000s  7:12 Eddie Murphy's Career and Arsenio Hall's Role in Saving Coming to America 19:18 Rest in Peace to Peabo Bryson and his many slept on hits  25:14 Whtiney Houston and The Making of Heartbreak Hotel  29:08 TLC, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Nostalgia, and Impact of 90s Hip-Hop and R&B Soundtracks  33:47 Is Ludcaris really slept on as a rapper?  39:16 LA Reid says the best Laface album is Donell Jones. Episode 342 of The Business Development Podcast features the return of entrepreneur, speaker, author, and Foureva Media founder Jamar Jones for one of the most powerful conversations yet on reinvention, visibility, personal branding, and becoming the person your future requires. From opening for artists like Snoop Dogg, T.I., Common, and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony to losing his voice and rebuilding his entire life through entrepreneurship, Jamar shares the hard-earned lessons that transformed his mindset and ultimately led him to building one of the most respected personal branding agencies in the space.Together, Kelly Kennedy and Jamar dive deep into what it actually takes to build a brand people remember in 2026. They unpack why most people stay stuck, why visibility matters more than ever, how to position yourself for bigger opportunities, why your offer might not be converting, and the mindset shift required to stop waiting and start building momentum. This is not a surface-level branding conversation. It is a powerful discussion about identity, growth, purpose, and learning to put yourself out there before life forces you to reinvent yourself. If you are an entrepreneur, creator, leader, or someone trying to reach the next level, this episode will challenge the way you think about your brand, your future, and your potential.Key Takeaways: Don't tie your identity to one vehicle. Tie it to your mission and purpose.Reinvention is not optional. At some point, life will force you to evolve. Most people are not failing because they are incapable. They are failing because they have not started.Opportunities do not usually come to people who wait. They come to people who are actively looking.Your personal brand is how people talk about you in rooms you are not in.If people do not know what you do, they cannot help you, refer you, hire you, or advocate for you.More visibility creates more opportunity. In today's world, you need to put yourself out there consistently.Your offer should sell the transformation, not the features, details, or deliverables.Social proof matters. Capture testimonials, case studies, wins, and proof every chance you get.Do not let a proposal sell for you. Align on the offer, investment, and expectations before you send it.Follow Jamar, grab a copy of Change Your Circle, Change Your Life, and learn how to build a brand people actually remember with Foureva Media.

The conversation explores the potential for a full NWA reunion and how a reconciled relationship between Eazy-E, Dr. Dre, and Ice Cube might have shifted the power balance of West Coast rap away from the looming shadow of Suge Knight and Death Row Records. They analyze Eazy's legacy as a brilliant businessman and visionary "hustler," speculating on how he would have evolved Ruthless Records, managed the massive success of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, and navigated the rise of social media and modern digital technology. What starts as a nostalgic conversation quickly turns into a masterclass on hunger, originality, and longevity in the music industry.Layzie takes it back to Cleveland talent shows, forming as kids, and the early grind that eventually led the group to Los Angeles with nothing but bus tickets, big dreams, and relentless belief. He breaks down how they chased down Eazy-E, why they were determined to sign with him specifically, and what it was like going from homelessness to platinum success. The story of how the group name evolved, the competitive spirit within the crew, and how their harmonized, melody-driven flow changed the sound of rap gives real insight into what made Bone different from everyone else at the time. The conversation also dives into the making of timeless records like “Crossroads” and “First of the Month,” the real-life pain and loss that inspired their biggest records, and why those songs still connect decades later. Layzie shares behind-the-scenes stories about working with icons like The Notorious B.I.G., 2Pac, and Mariah Carey, along with reflections on how the industry shifted from artist development to chasing trends. He speaks candidly about originality, “style biting,” independence, and why protecting your legacy matters more than ever. It's funny, reflective, and full of game from a true pioneer who helped shape the sound of a generation. This episode is more than a trip down memory lane, it's a real conversation about building something timeless and surviving every era of hip hop.

I Love This You Should Too is hosted by Samantha and Indy Randhawa 1999 Eternal is the second album by American hip-hop group Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, released July 25, 1995, on Ruthless Records. The album was released four months after the death of gangsta rapper Eazy-E, the group's mentor and the executive producer of the album. Both the album and single "Tha Crossroads" are dedicated to him. Following up on the surprise success of their breakthrough single "Thuggish Ruggish Bone", it became a popular album and received positive reviews from music critics, earning praise for the group's melodic rapping style. The album title is a portmanteau of Cleveland's eastside neighborhood centering on East 99th Street and St. Clair Avenue where the group is based and the then-future year 1999. Taylor Swift: The End of an Era is a 2025 American documentary miniseries about the singer-songwriter Taylor Swift's sixth concert tour, the Eras Tour (2023–2024), directed by filmmakers Don Argott and Sheena M. Joyce. The series consists of six episodes that follow the lives of Swift and her crew during the tour. It began streaming on Disney+ on December 12, 2025.   Raise the Red Lantern is a 1991 period drama film directed by Zhang Yimou and starring Gong Li. It is an adaptation by Ni Zhen of the 1990 novella Raise the Red Lantern (originally Wives and Concubines) by Su Tong. A Chinese-Hong Kong co-production, the film was later adapted into a ballet of the same title by the National Ballet of China, also directed by Zhang. Set during the Warlord Era in the 1920s, the film tells the story of a young woman who becomes the fourth wife of a wealthy man. It was the fourth of nine collaborations between Zhang and Gong.

The year was 1995. Bill Clinton was president. The internet was still just a flicker in Al Gore's eye. Gas was $1.15 a gallon, and a group of rapid-fire harmonizing rappers from Cleveland, Ohio, was disrupting the whole East vs. West narrative with a completely new sound and approach. Under the wing of Eazy-E, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony kicked in the door with their debut EP Creepin' on a Come Up. Their follow-up, E. 1999 Eternal, didn't just build on that momentum; it launched them into the stratosphere. Powered by world-conquering singles like “1st of tha Month” and the Grammy-winning “Tha Crossroads,” the album went on to sell over four million copies. It also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, which was a huge deal for a Midwestern rap group at the time. On this week's episode of the Dad Bod Rap Pod, Nate, Dave, and DEM revisit this 1995 classic to assess how it has aged and how much cultural relevance it holds thirty years later. Tune in to find out how E. 1999 Eternal scores on the vaunted DBRP rubric.

Lucho calls the Homie Helpline after his girlfriend, who previously keyed his car and stole his beloved PS5 following his cheating, took him back, leaving the hosts to question whether a man should be held responsible for his actions before the age of 33. Meanwhile, the crew dissects the absurd revelations from a Kim Kardashian interview, including Kanye West repeatedly giving away her Lamborghinis during "episodes", and they bond over misheard song lyrics, culminating in the hilarious discovery that Fat Joe believes the legendary Bone Thugs-N-Harmony lyric is about his "Uncle Georgia" instead of "Uncle Charles". https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/crazyjames/bthdYoutubeInstagramBioLUTON, UK – June 2025 — British rapper Crazy James returns with his latest sonicfirestorm, “BTHD,” a track that fuses raw emotion, stunning lyrical agility, and head-nodding production into one unforgettable ride. With lush piano flourishes and a beatthat's as fresh as it is infectious, “BTHD” showcases Crazy James at the height of hisartistry—delivering a flow so passionate and magnetic, it's impossible not to feel it.“BTHD” stands for Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Disorder—a title as intriguing as the recorditself. “I've always been a massive fan of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony,” James explains.“They're a big reason I started rapping. This song is really an homage to them and theirmelodic sound.” While the Cleveland legends never had the same breakout fame in theUK as in the States, Crazy James makes it clear that their influence runs deep in hisDNA.From the first piano note to the final verse, “BTHD” radiates energy and intent. Theproduction strikes a balance between classic and current, evoking nostalgia whilesounding distinctly 2025. James' delivery is sharp, emotionally charged, and beautifullydynamic, with verses that dance between reflective storytelling and fast-pacedwordplay. “When I heard the beat,” he recalls, “I had the melody in my head straightaway—singing it in the shower, humming it constantly. Even if it was gibberish, I had toget it down. Then I started shaping it into something real.”Fans of anime will find something extra to love in “BTHD” too, with James sneaking inreferences to Dragon Ball Z—a nod to his love of animation and layered lyricism. “I liketo play with words,” he says. “People always say I'm hard to categorize—but that's thepoint. There's no sound for me. I just create what's true.”The single is part of a larger creative vision that includes his forthcoming LP, featuringprevious releases like “Whip It,” “Levels,” “Killer Instincts,” and “Show Me”—many ofwhich have already caught the attention of BBC Introducing. “Everything on the album isintentional,” James says. “You won't skip a single track.”The new music video reflects that same cinematic ambition. It intertwines visuals forboth “BTHD” and “Killer Instincts,” carrying on a narrative thread started in the “Levels”video. “The goal was to make the visuals feel like a continuous story,” James shares.“There's even a teaser for the next single, ‘Higher Learning in Berlin.' We're planning tofilm in Berlin later this year.”What sets Crazy James apart isn't just his sound—it's the spirit behind it. Drawing on achildhood spent across Ghana, Belgium, Congo, Saudi Arabia, and the UK, Jameschannels a multicultural perspective into music that's rich with soul, struggle, andhonesty. Whether he's reflecting on mental health, fatherhood, or artistic integrity, hedoes so with an unshakable authenticity.“Performing live is hard,” he admits. “I give all my energy. But it's worth it. I rap toexpress what's inside me—and to let people know they're not alone.”Outside the studio and stage, James juggles a full-time job and fatherhood. “It's tough,”he says. “But I want to leave something behind—not just for my kids, but for the world.”With “BTHD,” Crazy James proves he's not just rapping—he's building a legacy.“Thank you for the support,” he says to fans. “Please keep sharing. More amazingmaterial is on the way.”Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/creator-to-creators-with-meosha-bean--4460322/support.

Five years ago, I launched a new venture: The Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast. I am incredibly grateful to all the publicists and talent management teams who trusted me with their clients.   I am also profoundly thankful for the friendships that I built along the way with my podcasting colleagues. They include AGT Time Pod's Cody, Stephen, and Ryan, Brent Wolgamott (who was the very first guest), Blake Thomas Morgan, Challenge Mania's Scott and Derrick, Drew Angelman, Dylan Deckard, Jacob of Challenge Historian, Josh Skinner, Matt Cohen, Mike Lewis, Paige of Most Likely & TikTok, Tony Berardo, and Wes of Thinking Critical, I am looking forward to continuing to build our friendships.  I want to thank my dear friends and family who supported my podcasting journey, especially my mom Gloria, dad Matthew, brother Aaron, sister-in-law Whitney, nephew Nash, niece Emory, and doggy nephew Maxwell.   Finally, and most importantly, I want to thank you—the listeners from over 80 countries—for taking time out of your schedule to watch and listen to my content! I am grateful for your continuous support.   I am thrilled to welcome my long-time friend—Australia-based creative, entrepreneur, musician, and storyteller James Sismanes—as the guest for the Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast's fifth anniversary episode. James, who previously went by the SIMMY moniker, was among the first guests I welcomed onto my platform.  James Sismanes is an award-winning audio and visual storyteller from Melbourne, Australia. A small business owner by day (ImagiWorks Agency, Vision One Technologies) and a full-time creative by night, James is a multi-dimensional make-believer and dreamer of the (almost!) impossible. With over 500+ sales on the acclaimed AudioJungle marketplace, a debut children's book (The Marvellous Mullabaloos Only Wear Blue), and a diverse and unique business/branding portfolio, James is always on the hunt for the next “big idea.”   James' screenplays (“Dr. Claus,” “The Ballad of Bam Barlow,” “Bliss Inc.,” and “Tilt”) have consistently ranked on Coverfly‘s “The Red List,” and he has placed as a finalist or semi-finalist in various screenwriting competitions (including the Emerging Screenwriters, Screencraft, So Cal Screenplay, and New York International Screenplay Awards).Behind a MIDI controller, James has collaborated on records with award-winning and globally recognized artists like Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Josh Levi, B2K, Pretty Ricky (Emanuel Deanda), Gabe Lustman, Minus Gravity, K Major, and Giulietta.  When he's not writing, producing, designing, sales pitching, and daydreaming like a world-saving superhero, James Sismanes enjoys eating cheeseburgers and chicken parmigiana, conquering Xbox tournaments, watching Friends re-runs, catching Pokémon, and dealing with the heartache of being a Barça and Cleveland sports fan.  On this milestone episode of The Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast, James Sismanes spoke about his debut children's book, The Marvellous Mullabaloos Only Wear Blue, award-winning screenplays, and his latest collaboration with Emnauel Deanda's “Body.”Let's connect on social media! When I was 13 years of age.  I was inspired to write music by Bone Thugs N Harmony.  Their song called Tha Crossroads" hit me the most.  I started listening to everything they made from Creppin on a Come Up to Uni5.   Each and everyday in school I would get my pen and pad and write down lyrics.  I was and still all about music.  I love it.  You can reach so many people by telling your story.  I want to let the world know of my talent of making lyrics but also inspire those around me.  Life is too short.  You only live one life.  The impact you have within yourself can bring a monumental impact to others.   I take rap seriously because I rap with  purpose.  And my purpose is not only to be the best that I can be.  But show others that you can do whatever you wish so long as you work hard on your craft, believe in yourself and reach for the stars.   Back when I first started flowing. Everyone who knew me said I flowed too fast.  You sound like Bone.  You live in the east coast.  You need to sound like NY rappers.  I didn'  agree with their assessment but there was some truth to the things I heard from them.  I told myself I wanted to sound like me.  I wanted to be different.   I want people to love my music for the effort I put in in writing my lyrics.  My catchy bars, my tonality, my command to the beat, my confidence and swagger.  I want to make you press rewind with some deep truths, illusions and alluring words I put in a creative piece.  I always considered myself a deep person.  Someone who can see through the layers in all things.  So I made my mantra of who I am as a person by putting it in my music.     -Mr.Reaper
