Episode 63 (17/04/25) On this episode - We start with Barry's second new idea for a cop show after realising there's already a Bafta winning TV show called ‘Shetland' that has been around for over a decade. Then Greg talks about the thrill of winning a giant charity pub quiz almost single handedly, Barry's Easter egg facts, going off Cadbury's Cream Eggs as you get older, Katy Perry going to space, the works and life of Willy Rushton in ‘Barry's Masters of Comedy'(with “impressions”), police officers who are better off at home, confusing onion rings, the exorbitant amount of energy used by Chat GPT to create pictures of action figures, SNL coming to the UK?, Fire Festival 2, a recap of the story so far in our improvised soap opera ‘Aylesbury Market' (before the latest episode), recommendations, Future Greg and a whole lot more!
The Easter weekend is fast-approaching, and if you're about to head to the shops to stock up on those essential sweet treats, then be warned - there's a bewildering array of increasingly outlandish flavours and styles to choose from out there. But fear not, because Camilla and Kamal are joined by The Daily Telegraph's resident food columnist and taste tester Xanthe Clay on this edition of The Daily T to pick through the best and worst of this year's Easter food offerings. From tiramisu hot cross buns to ice cream-flavoured chocolate eggs, we've got you covered when it comes to what to grab off the shelves before they disappear, and what to avoid at all costs.Producer: Georgia CoanExecutive Producer: Louisa WellsPlanning Editor: Venetia RaineySocial Media Producer: Rachel DuffyStudio Director: Meghan SearleVideo Editor: Andy MackenzieOriginal music by Goss Studio Hosted on Acast. Martin & Patrick discuss; It's Easter (Good Friday) and chocolate is in the air (or is it) as we buy Easter Eggs across the world, how do you eat your "Cadbury's Cream Eggs" (other brands are available). It's a hard time of the year for Patrick as his Easter Egg count has come down considerably since discovering his Heart Disease some 15 years ago.The boys discuss recent news and include the Princess of Wales in their brief chat.Today's headline subject for discussion is "Statins. What do we know about these drugs, who should be taking them, and for what? Do they cause many side effects as many suggest and is memory loss one of those side effects?Statins block an enzyme the liver needs to make cholesterol. This causes the liver to remove cholesterol from the blood. While statins are highly effective and safe for most people, they have been linked to muscle pain, digestive problems, and mental fuzziness in some people. It is said, that although there are some potential side effects long-term for statins, in most cases, if your doctor has identified you as having high cholesterol and needing a statin, the benefits greatly outweigh the risks. It's important to know that stopping statins cold turkey, or even gradually, can cause serious health problems and you should talk to your doctor before doing so. We review some questions from our listeners and try and assist where we can remember to consult your doctor.Martin's Joke of the week returns, it's short, it's sweet but is it funny?#HeartTransplant#EbsteinsAnomaly#RareCondition#HealthJourney#LifeChangingDiagnosis#MentalHealth#Vulnerability#SelfCompassion#PostTraumaticGrowth#MedicalMiracle#BBCSports#Inspiration#Cardiology#Surgery#Podcast#Healthcare#HeartHealth#MedicalBreakthrough#EmotionalJourney#SupportSystem#HealthcareHeroes#PatientStories#CardiologyCare#MedicalJourney#LifeLessons#MentalWellness#HealthAwareness#InspirationalTalk#LivingWithIllness#RareDiseaseAwareness#SharingIsCaring#MedicalSupport#BBCReporter#HeartDisease#PodcastInterview#HealthTalk#Empowerment#Wellbeing#HealthPodcast#ChronicIllness#joepasqualeCheck out our new website at www.whostomanddick.Check out our new website at www.whostomanddick.com
