The Flyers have made a positive turn in the season. There have been quite a few questions surrounding this team to start the season. Despite losing to the Carolina Hurricanes 6-4 the Flyers played a very strong game and it seemed to have carried over with the Flyers into Florida where the Flyers beat the Tampa Bay Lightning and losing to the Florida Panthers. The Flyers took both teams into the shootout before taking 3 out of a possible 4 points. San Jose Sharks came to town last night and fell to the Flyers 4-3 in yet another shootout. It's RANK WEEK! With three Flyers games announced in the first 15 overall Philly selections, today seems like a great day to talk about the rest of the list, especially the games that didn't make the Top 25. Despite a lack of championships, there are plenty of compelling Flyers games starring Claude Giroux, Mike Richards, Eric Lindros and more over the last 44 years. Where will the 2010 winner-take-all shootout against the Rangers place? Is the comeback against Boston bigger than Game 6 in 1987? Is there enough representation of the 80s? Charlie & Bill break down the list and share their memories of each game. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
We've got a bunch of different topics today. First, we're using Rhys Hoskins' return to Citizens Bank Park with the Milwaukee Brewers as a jumping off point to discuss moments we miss about the Flyers being a great team, and returns of beloved players like Kimmo Timonen and Claude Giroux. And as long as we're talking about former Flyers, Charlie & Bill tackle the question “was the Bobrovsky trade the worst in Philadelphia history?” with Bob now back in the Stanley Cup Final. Plus, we'll discuss the 2010 Stanley Cup Final, because on this day 14 years ago the Flyers won Game 4 to tie the series at 2, and it's the last time they won a game in the Championship round. Finally, Martin Necas: does it make sense? Do we think it could or should happen? Tune in to find out! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
