What began as a standard interview with Austin City Limits photographer Scott Newton, exploring his past and infamous concert shots, evolved into something unexpectedly profound. As our conversation unfolded, I found myself disarmed by Scott's wisdom, opening up about my own creative process and doubts behind a fan music video I directed. The video, set to the song "Sea of the Edge" by Austin-based band The Bright Light Social Hour, became a case study for our discussion on artistic challenges and growth. What followed was an inspirational pep talk I never knew I needed. Scott's words are deeply moving and motivational, and I hope they resonate with you as powerfully as they did with me.I'm Kyle Lamont, host of Concert Cast. Britton Beckham is a local to Utah and recently returned from a 14 month-long world travel and spiritual pilgrimage with his wife and four children. Together they surrendered to the call to travel the world, visiting 7 countries on 3 continents, and allowing life to take them on a truly wild adventure. This very rapid and wholly transformative spiritual journey started in the fall of 2019 when the two were introduced to magic mushrooms. Just one day after their first ceremony with the medicine, they left their religious tradition and never looked back. Over the next 4 years, Britton and his wife Carolee spent considerable time healing their relationship and completely re-imagining the possibilities of their life together. From leaving his career in software engineering of 22 years, to selling their home and everything they owned to move to Bali, Britton unapologetically lives the full "FUCK yes life" as an empowered, conscious person seeking to inspire others to choose into living their greatest life! First broadcast on December 01, 1966. Studs interviews Dr. Timothy Leary about the three stages of the psychadelic experience: turning on, tuning in, and dropout. Leary discusses how his life changed from being a successful psychologist and professor at Harvard to renewing his life as a religious teacher. He shares how the drug LSD is used in the tribal communities who turn on and also explains the values of those who practice turning on. Leary also describes other methods used to turn on, which he considers a religious experience. Studs reads what Richard Goldstein said about Dr. Leary. Studs and Leary discuss how turning on can benefit society.
https://blog.priceplow.com/podcast/elan-sudberg-alkemist-labs In early March of 2023, we hosted Elan Sudberg of Alkemist Labs on the PricePlow Podcast. Alkemist Labs is the place you go to get testing done on botanicals and mushrooms — they are even federally licensed to test psychoactive substances. They can be considered “plant and fungus cops”. In this episode, Elan educates us on the importance and challenges of botanicals testing, covering technologies like HPTLC and DNA testing and how to appropriately test new substances. We get into some of the market trends and challenges that arose in 2020, and then head into the psychedelic space, discussing cannabis, psilocybin, ketamine, the fentanyl crisis, vaping, and far more. Finally, we ask what Elan would do if he were made emperor for a day, and he gives a pretty detailed answer that's indicative of the problems he sees in his corner of the world. Great episode, we'll definitely have him back on in the future. New research findings show that attending a psychedelic retreat causes significant changes in a person's belief system. Psychadelic ritual attendees report increased confidence in the reality of a supernatural world, the distinction between mind and body, and the non-existence of free will. Is this because psychedelics give us access to hidden truths about the structure of reality or it is because they induce a permanent state of delusion?
The Quiggin Out MMA Podcast is back with Episode 43 with longtime friend of the show, former UFC flyweight title challenger turned Psychadelic Researcher who dabbles in stand-up comedy, Ian McCall. In this episode, McCall and I discuss just about everything but fighting. McCall talks about getting away from the "Uncle Creepy" nickname that he has carried for over a decade, how his life has changed drastically over the last few years and what the future holds for him. This episode is not for the faint of heart. McCall digs deep into what psychadelics can do for the human brain and the future of combat sports. We discussed birthdays, growing older, favorite video games, and what his goal is working with 'Nobody Studios" Don't forget to head over to EpicJitsTees.com and pick up a Quiggin' Out MMA Podcast shirt or any of the amazing designs available! Of Ducks, Tree Forts, and Childhood nostalgia. I was fortunate to interview a local psychadelic artist as well as a long term acquaintance. In this podcast we talk about what inspired his art, how he has gotten more comfortable sharing his art, and how he has achieved the flow state (Samadhi) through the mastery of line art. Check out www.akashicskies.com or akashic_sky on instagram. Also check out @chasegentry on instagram and threadless for his art. The human behind an otherworldly sound. Simrit, stepping into her vulnerability, opens up the vault of her origin story as a Greek orphan, and shares with the world how she became the musician, artist, and woman that she is today. An emotional tribute to the power of perseverance, grit, passion, artistry, and love. If her music has yet to find its way into your heart, her humility, grace, and strength certainly will.
You've never heard a tribute to Dr. King quite like this... It's an honest and authentic honoring of the man, his mission, and his legacy that continues to unfold before us today. It's a powerful transmission. Underneath the surface, something much more subtle is being communicated. There might not be words for whatever that thing is, but trust me, you can feel it.

"People are afraid of themselves, of their own reality; their feelings most of all. People talk about how great love is, but that's bullshit. Love hurts. Feelings are disturbing. People are taught that pain is evil and dangerous. How can they deal with love if they're afraid to feel? Pain is meant to wake us up. People try to hide their pain. But they're wrong. Pain is something to carry, like a radio. You feel your strength in the experience of pain. It's all in how you carry it. That's what matters. Pain is a feeling. Your feelings are a part of you. Your own reality. If you feel ashamed of them, and hide them, you're letting society destroy your reality. You should stand up for your right to feel your pain." - Jim Morrison TRACKLIST || 01.
