With captain Adam Lowry set to return Tuesday night against the Kings in Los Angeles, the obvious question is: when will the Winnipeg Jets announce his contract extension? Everyone knows it's coming -- but will we have to wait until the Jets wrap up their longest road trip of the season? The Kings, meanwhile, sit outside the playoff picture at 5-4-4. Have they underachieved so far? Cam and Tyson (in for Jim) break it down with Los Angeles ice-side commentator Daryl Evans. Plus, a listener email asks the unthinkable: could the Jets ever trade Mark Scheifele? And is Brad Lambert ready to stake his claim as a full-time NHLer? It was another big road win for the Winnipeg Jets, who extended their streak to five straight with a 2-1 victory over the Calgary Flames on Monday night. Plenty to unpack from this one -- Jonathan Toews scored his first goal as a Jet, Mark Scheifele's seventh of the year ties him for the league lead, the penalty kill went a perfect 5-for-5, and Josh Morrissey passed Dustin Byfuglien for the most assists by a defenceman in franchise history. And don't overlook Connor Hellebuyck -- he's looking every bit like last season's Vezina-calibre goaltender. Ten penalties were called in the game... again.
