The Toronto Maple Leafs were humiliated by a score of 6-1 in Game 7 by the Panthers, capping off a meek exit with back-to-back home losses by a combined score of 12-2. Auston Matthews called out the team’s lack of cohesion and effort, while Ray questions the accountability at the top. Florida’s energy and depth overwhelmed Toronto, with the Leafs’ bottom six offering little resistance. Joe Woll wasn’t to blame, but goaltending and mental resilience seemed to be lacking. Offseason questions loom large: Shanahan’s future, whether or not Marner or Tavares return and a team in need of serious reimagining. In the West, Dallas eliminated Winnipeg in emotional fashion, with Mark Scheifele being highly involved in the game, playing just hours after his father’s passing. The Oilers-Stars conference final rematch is set, a superb coaching matchup with both teams looking strong and storylines galore. Oilers have Ekholm still to return from injury and the Stars have some forwards who could still explode offensively.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Gabriel Vilardi returns to the Winnipeg Jets' top line alongside Mark Scheifele and Kyle Connor, while Nikolaj Ehlers is back on the ice as he inches closer to a return. With the first-round series against the St. Louis Blues tied 2-2, the Jets continue to prepare for a pivotal Game 5 at Canada Life Centre. The Athletic's Murat Ates joins the show to break down Winnipeg's performance so far and what's at stake in this potential turning point for the franchise. Who does the team need to step up most? Has either side truly been the better team through four games? The crew also takes a hard look at Connor Hellebuyck's play, bringing in goaltending expert Kevin Woodley from InGoal Magazine to analyze the netminder's performance. What can Hellebuyck do differently? How much of the blame lies in front of him—and how can the Jets better support their star goalie? All that and more on today's edition of Jets @ Noon. The Winnipeg Jets head to St. Louis for Game 3 of their best-of-seven first-round Stanley Cup Playoff series against the Blues on Thursday. What's behind the Jets' strong performance on the road this season? Is the concept of "last change" overhyped? And could we see another pre-game incident between Mark Scheifele and Joel Hofer during warm-ups? The guys also revisit comments aired on 680 CJOB from Jeremy Rutherford, Blues writer for The Athletic. He breaks down the heavy-hitting nature of this series and questions whether St. Louis is hurting themselves with their overly physical approach. Cam and Jim take a look around the league and wonder: Have we seen the last of Stuart Skinner this postseason in net for the Oilers? If so, is he really to blame? And, is the Dallas and Colorado series going exactly according to plan? Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
