On this episode of March Forth with Mike Bauman, Mike chats with SlowMo of UA The Duo! Originally from Southern California, the Utah-based UA The Duo is a hip hop tandem of brothers Wally and SlowMo. Together since 2014, UA The Duo have lived up to the ambition in their name (UA is short for "Underground Ambitionz") with their collaborations and releases over the years. Those musical collaborations have included Demrick, XXL Freshman Jarren Benton, and Crunchy Black of Three 6 Mafia, among others. Outside of their musical ventures, UA The Duo also does podcasting with their own Utah-based studio - Lab Junkies Studios - where they record podcasts and rent out the space for others to record, as well. In March, SlowMo dropped his solo album entitled Growing Pains. On this episode of the podcast, SlowMo talks to Mike about the process of making Growing Pains, including the themes of self doubt, perseverance, and chasing dreams on the record, teaming up again with Demrick, and more. In this episode I get into my rainy day kick preferences, some of my favorite Nike kicks currently on sale, and why this is a great time to collect the old school way and watch your sale kicks go up in value over time. It's been a long time since me and the guys have all sat down and talked like this. With that said you are in for a treat of a show. I was a bit nervous because it has been so long since we've done it but I was quickly reminded that it's just like riding a bike. And we've been talking like this forever. Anyway, the show starts off with a hot Free - Styles For Dummies about, you guessed it. A Mom. then we get into Bruce's cookout where I became the Corn Hole champ with only 3 games played ever. You have to hear the story lol!. I touch on my new job and a whole bunch of other stuff that we did since the last show. In other peoples news we talk about Trumps indictment and the one lone black guy who wasn't granted bail, The escape prisoner Denelo Cavalcante. Miguel's attempt at artistry beyond, A Glorilla quote that you have to hear. RIP Bob Barker which leads us into day time tv when we were kids. a beautiful breakdown of the stories, Jerry Springer and more.Irv Gotti and Nas in Baltimore and what Charlie Baltimore has to do with tis whole thing. Crunchy Black snitching, Languages of the world. The best show on tv is BS High, we discuss, which leads us right into Michael Oher. NFL picks and a whole lot of other stuff that I cant remember. So press play and enjoy the show. #TJSS #intelligentignorance #DeneloCalvalcante

Crunchy Black is one third of the Grammy award winning trio, Three Six Mafia. HipHop royalty, and one of the most respected groups to ever grace the stages of any show. In fact, Three 6 Mafia not to long ago made hiphop history with their controversial Versus battle with Bone,Thugs & Harmony. Never a stranger to controversy, Crunchy Black has had some traumatic situations in his life. He's been shot, tragically lost his own daughter at the hands of the streets and had numerous encounters with police. Still, with all of that being said, Crunchy has learned to respect the code of the streets. Listen in as he talks about everything from the accused rapes of Trey Songz, the death of Young Dolph, The alleged guilt of R. Kelly, and the controversial mouth of Charleston white, and then some. One thing is for sure, Crunchy Black has a story to tell.

HT0860 - Crunchy Black and White In general, most photographers find that converting an image to black-and-white requires an increase in contrast. True, but too much is, well, too much. It takes a delicate touch to push far enough without going too far and ending up with crunchy blacks and whites.

In this show, Laz and Mark begin by discussing amateur artists being labeled rappers in headlines when they die to drive traffic. We discuss how this sensationalism is a direct money grab from Black death. We continue by going over Raekwon's undeniable O.B.F.C.L. 2 and what other album sequels were good (and bad.) We also discuss Laz's new song with Crunchy Black. Big Factz Show linktr.ee

This week on A Waste of Time with ItsTheReal we welcome Capitol Music Group's SVP of Brand Partnerships, Brian Nolan, to the Upper West Side to discuss his time and work with J. Cole, Migos, Three6Mafia, ESPN and his own division at Capitol, seventeenfifty! A Silver Spring, MD native, Brian talks growing up a hip-hop fan in the melting pot of Washington, DC suburbs, the lessons he learned caddying for the likes of Alan Greenspan and Mike Wilbon, taking cues from his older brother, chasing baseball-playing dreams to James Madison University where he majored in marketing, finding his way to NYC for an internship at Rawkus Records, and how he focused his sights on the music industry. After a promised-job never materialized, Brian returned to Washington and to the golf course, and ultimately found his way into a mailroom, where he worked his way up from sending records to working them as a field marketing rep in Philadelphia. After earning his stripes putting up posters, Brian graduated to Sony Urban where he rode the tour bus with Juicy J, DJ Paul and Crunchy Black, helped their record Stay Fly go from 15 spins to fully taking over the airwaves, and saw them win Oscars and go Hollyhood. Brian remembers Jay-Z and Jay Brown bringing J. Cole to the label as one of three priorities from Roc Nation, and reminisces on the work Cole and Ib Hamad and their team put in to go from performing for tiny crowds and in conference rooms for small-city radio programmers to putting huge numbers on the boards, selling out arenas, and becoming a voice of a generation. Brian discusses how he took advantage of a ceiling at his radio job, combined his interests in music and sports, and fostered relationships with athletes and executives alike, using his skillset to make his mark in brand partnerships, and how he leveled up in his new role at Capitol, especially in working with Coach K and Pee at Quality Control. All that, plus stories about Ruben Studdard, Rembert Browne, Jemele Hill, David Cho, Naima Cochrane, Destiny's Child, John Legend, Ray Cash, go-go music, Freeky Zekey, Tiger Woods, and much more!
