Hell Rell, JR Writer, and Duke Da God pull up on us to talk all things Dipset, New York radio, and the anticipation for Duke’s new project. The guys chop it up about punch line rap, and debate which rappers are underrated in that realm, and JR addresses claims that Cam’ron stole his flow. The trio also discusses the Dipset vs. The LOX battle, their favorite (and least favorite) Nas album, and why music has no replay value today. Duke’s new project, “Double Trouble” is out now! Welcome back, Roadies! Todd and Jim are settling into the newly redesigned Corner Rickhouse at the Frankfort Bourbon Society, fresh paint and all, for another wide-ranging tasting session. Todd teases an upcoming Monday Meetup celebrating a milestone birthday, and Jim shares highlights from a family trip to Savannah before the two dive into four distinctly different finished and blended whiskeys that span Colorado craft, orchard-inspired blends, Scotch-barrel finishing, and rare American oak. On the Tasting Mat: - Lock & Co. Big Blaze Bourbon: A Denver-based, 95-proof, five-year-old bourbon uniquely finished with charred Aspen wood discs sourced directly from trees destroyed in Colorado's 2020 East Troublesome Fire. The nose opens with smoked maple caramel and a bright, citrus freshness. The palate is clean and straightforward — sweet maple and caramel lead, the smokiness softens mid-palate, and a gentle white pepper spice emerges on the finish. Ten percent of proceeds support Grand County firefighters and first responders. Available in Colorado and online to 48 states for around $56.99. *(00:25:37)* - Chicken Cock Oh Glory Limited Edition Hunter-Proof American Whiskey Blend: A one-of-a-kind collaboration between Chicken Cock and Laird & Company, blending 70% of Chicken Cock's 95/5 Kentucky straight rye (distilled at Bardstown) with 30% Laird's bottled-in-bond apple brandy, bottled at 100 proof. The nose is an inviting walk through an apple orchard in spring — fresh red apples with a subtle rye mintiness underneath. The palate is buttery and remarkably smooth, with a cool sweet wave up front, almost no mid-palate bite, and a warming, peppery finish that builds with each sip. Twelve thousand bottles released at an MSRP of $65. *(00:43:51)* - Bardstown Bourbon Company Lox of Jura Barrel Finish: A bespoke blend of 49% 11-year Indiana bourbon (75/21/4), 30% 10-year Indiana rye (95/5), and 21% 12-year Kentucky bourbon (75/13/12), rested an additional 32 months in single malt Scotch whiskey barrels sourced from the Isle of Jura — 84% ex-bourbon and 16% ex-sherry Scotch casks — and bottled at 104 proof. The nose layers honeydew melon, orchard fruit, and gentle malt in a way that is decidedly un-peated and approachable. The palate achieves a remarkable balance among all three components — bourbon sweetness, rye spice, and fruity Scotch character — with the lines between them blurring beautifully. The finish is long and warming, growing more Scotch-forward with time. MSRP $140. *(00:46:55)* - Bardstown Bourbon Company Discovery 2026: A blend of 55% 10-year Indiana bourbon (75/21/4), 25% 11-year Kentucky bourbon (74/18/8), and 20% 7-year Kentucky bourbon (74/16/10), finished in custom Gariana oak barrels hand-toasted for three hours by Oregon Barrel Works and chosen for maximum summer extraction, bottled at 112.8 proof. The nose presents butterscotch, burnt sugar, and a hint of molasses-like richness. The palate leans sweet and thick with cola-like depth, cooked cherry, and a distinct nuttiness; the finish carries a pleasant citrus-cherry brightness with lingering spice. MSRP $140. *(01:01:13)* As a bonus pour, the guys also opened the Lost Lantern United States of Bourbon 1776 Edition, a one-time-only cask-strength blend of bourbons from distilleries in each of the 13 original colonies — from Painted Stave (DE) and Liberty Pole (PA) to King's County (NY) and Reservoir (VA) — hand-numbered to 1,776 bottles at 121.4 proof and MSRP $199.99. It rounds out an episode packed with creative finishing techniques, cross-category blending, and the kind of spirited conversation that makes the Bourbon Road worth every mile. Head to thebourbonroad.com to sign up for the Roadie Bar, watch for giveaways featuring full 750ml bottles of the Discovery and Lox of Jura, and we'll see you down the road!
Photo: Firefighters, first responders, and law enforcement officials escorted the body of Leslie Washington from Ely, Minn to Duluth, Minn. and then the Twin Cities on Tuesday. (Courtesy Scorched Earth Services) A wildland firefighter from the Northwest Arctic community of Noorvik, Alaska died Tuesday. Federal officials say 41-year-old Leslie R. Washington worked for a Huslia-based company called Scorched Earth Services. It was contracted to help fight a 30,000 acre fire on the Minnesota-Canada border in the Superior National Forest. Washington and his team were in northern Minnesota when he died after an undisclosed medical emergency. In a statement, U.S. Wildland Fire Service Chief Brian Fennessy said the agency is “heartbroken at the loss of a wildland firefighter who died while protecting others.” Washington's wife told KOTZ news she remembers her husband as humble, kind, and devoted to his family. She said the loss is being felt throughout Noorvik and across Alaska. She said she was not ready to talk further. The Department of the Interior says it is working with the U.S. Forest Service (USFS) to support Washington's family, coworkers, and the broader firefighting community as they grieve. Scorched Earth Services says Washington's remains will be sent from Minnesota home to Noorvik. Washington was one of dozens of firefighters from rural Alaska communities including Huslia, Selawik, and Fort Yukon, deployed this season through Scorched Earth Services. Officials say more information will be released in the coming days. Washington was assigned to the Bear Trap Fire. Officials said Thursday it is 44% contained. Lisa Smolenska, left, hands a bouquet to a customer on August 9, 2026 in Eugene, Oreg. as part of a fundraiser to help the Warm Springs Animal Relief Fund. (Photo: Brian Bull) While crews mop up wildfires on Oregon's Warm Springs reservation, a relief drive is underway to help affected horses and livestock. Brian Bull of Underscore Native News and KLCC reports. The goal of the Warm Springs Animal Relief Fund was to raise $15,000 for hay, feed, and care for animals who have lost forage and grazing land. At last check, they had nearly twice that amount. The fundraising efforts are extending beyond central Oregon. Last Sunday, Lisa Smolenska sold bouquets donated by Charles Little Flower Farm outside Lox, Stocks, & Bagels in Eugene, Oreg. She raised nearly $700. “This has got to be ongoing because the animals are going to need forage over the wintertime as well and beyond. I don’t think we really know how long it’ll take to regenerate.” Warm Springs rancher Shana Johnson says she is happy that there is a fund. Her horses and cows lost 99% of their grazing district to the Beachcomb Fire. “When the fire started they all started coming home in groups, and there is absolutely nothing to eat.” Smolenska says she will do another flower fundraiser this Sunday. Tribal member Franc Fernandez, left, addresses attendees of community dinner as Sasha Ivan Sobolef of the Alaska Native Brotherhood holds burning sage on August 4, 2026. (Photo: Baiz Hoen / KFSK) The Petersburg Indian Association recently announced that they will be repatriating the remains of a 6-month-old Tlingit girl. She is one of three ancestors the tribe plans to inter in Petersburg, Alaska. KFSK's Baiz Hoen has the story. Stephanie Aikins is the administrative assistant for Petersburg's tribal government, the Petersburg Indian Association. She spearheaded the repatriation project, and at a community dinner this month, she said she has been working on this since last May. “ This is uncharted territory. There’s a lot of clan objects that have been taken and returned, not many who are ancestors.” The tribe applied for a grant to help cover the cost of the repatriation efforts through the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), a federal law that requires federal agencies and institutions that receive federal money to return important remains and objects of cultural patrimony to lineal descendants, culturally affiliated Indian Tribes, and Native Hawaiian organizations. Petersburg's tribe received about $24,000 for this project. The infant will be one of three ancestors the tribe plans to inter in Petersburg. The other two have been in the tribe's possession for over 10 years. One is a male estimated to be about 300 years old. He was found when the City of Petersburg was building the City Reservoir in the 1950s, and was given to the local high school. After it was found that he was of Native descent, the ancestor was given to the local tribe in 2013. The other, a jawbone, was found around the 1980s about 10 miles south of town on the beach. Aikins says the USFS had possession until 2011, when the ancestor was transferred to the tribe. He is thought to be prehistoric, based on the report. Aikins says that the remains of the 6-month-old girl are currently being held at the Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture in Seattle. Aikins will be among a group of three traveling to Seattle on September 1 to receive the remains. They will return to Petersburg on September 4, and plan to host a ceremony at the airport that day for the infant girl's return. “She has been gone away from her land for almost 100 years, and she will be back on her land for the first time on September 4.” Aikins says that the tribe will host a larger ceremony later in the fall, where they will inter the remains of the girl along with the two other ancestors already in their possession. Most of us treat pain as the beginning of a problem. It isn't. By the time you feel it, whether it's a stiff knee, an aching lower back, or hands that hurt in the morning, inflammation has usually been quietly active for months, sometimes years. In this solo episode, Dr. Shivani Gupta breaks down why pain is the last signal your body sends, using her own experience with plantar fasciitis and a round of NSAIDs that damaged her gut without ever solving the original problem. In this episode:The real difference between acute inflammation, which is protective, and chronic inflammation, which is quiet and easy to explain awayWhy Tylenol and Advil work differently, and why neither one addresses the disease process underneath your painWhat's happening inside an osteoarthritic or rheumatoid joint at the cellular levelWhy curcumin research shows results comparable to ibuprofen and prescription NSAIDs, without the gut damageThe COX2 and 5-LOX pathway explanation, and why turmeric and boswellia work better paired togetherHow your everyday ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 fats shapes your body's baseline inflammatory responseDr. Shivani's honest, still-unfolding story about her own hip and spine painThis conversation is an invitation to listen to the whisper before your body has to shout.

"You won't even be trying to laugh and it's like damn he got me." That quote perfectly captures the genius of Detroit comedy legend Foolish as he joins Detroit is Different for a conversation that is equal parts hilarious, historical, and deeply reflective. From memories of knowing Khary Frazier before Detroit is Different, when he was immersed in hip hop, to stories from BET Comic View, Foolish reminds us that laughter has always been one of Black Detroit's greatest survival tools. Quoting, "I always talk about my life through jokes," he reveals how comedy became his language for processing life, culture, and community. Together they celebrate hip hop icons like Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, E-40, Richie Rich, MC Breed, and The Lox while reflecting on how music sounds different as we grow because, as Foolish explains, "Everything you listen to as an adult becomes a chapter in your life that you didn't pay enough attention to." Filled with unforgettable backstage stories, reflections on Detroit audiences showing unmatched love to legendary performers, and memories of artists whose influence continues to shape culture, this episode reminds listeners that preserving these stories is how communities protect their legacy. The laughter, music, and memories shared here connect Detroit's past to its future, proving that culture lives through conversation, storytelling, and the people determined to keep those stories alive. Episode 139 welcomes Jet Perry into the Jungle — an artist stepping into his moment with both his music and his story on the table. Pulling up to talk about his journey, his creative process, and the release of his new album “From Stamford With Love,” Jet opens up about the grind behind the scenes, the realities of navigating the industry, and the personal situations that sometimes spill into the music — including the love triangle that's been stirring conversation around him. The Jungle does what it does best: letting the story unfold while still asking the questions nobody else will. The music conversation kicks things off with Baby Keem's “Casino,” which sparks debate about energy, production, and how newer artists keep pushing sonic boundaries. Dave East's “For the Love 2” brings the focus back to lyricism and consistency, especially when it comes to artists who carry the torch for that classic East Coast storytelling. Then Mozzy and EST Gee's “Not a Chance in Hell” adds a gritty contrast, leading into a discussion about street authenticity, collaboration chemistry, and whether pain music still hits harder than flex music. Once the culture talk begins, things heat up quickly. The situation involving T.I., King Harris, and 50 Cent becomes a full breakdown of generational clashes, public disrespect, and how family loyalty plays out when everything is happening online. News surrounding El Mencho being captured and reportedly dying sparks a conversation about how global crime figures become almost myth-like in the media. Then the potential Mayweather vs. Pacquiao 2026 fight announcement brings nostalgia and skepticism at the same time — is it legacy, business, or pure spectacle? And when Chrisean Rock announces she's dedicating her life to Christ, the room talks about redemption, public perception, and whether the internet really allows people to change. As always, the relationship segment brings the most unpredictable energy. The crew debates whether sexual chemistry is something natural that two people instantly have, or something that can be learned and developed over time. That leads into the age-old question: when you're single — or even moving messy — do people really prefer a sneaky link situation or a fully public relationship? The conversation then gets a little wild discussing safe words and boundaries during intimacy, showing how humor and honesty collide in the Jungle. Finally, the episode closes with a tough dilemma: if your ex was better in bed but your current partner is better for your future, which one actually matters more in the long run? Episode 139 blends music, culture, and real-life situations in the way only the Jungle can — raw, funny, and brutally honest. n this intense and unexpectedly hilarious episode of Lox of Laughs, Ashley Arpel Steinback sits down with New York attorney Randy Zelin to unpack the controversy surrounding Ashley being removed from a South Florida comedy show after publicly expressing pro-Israel views online. What starts as a conversation about social media comments and stand-up bookings quickly turns into a deep dive into free speech, cancel culture, religion in entertainment, and whether people today have lost the ability to disagree without making things personal. Ashley brings the receipts, Randy brings the legal breakdowns, and somehow the episode still manages to include Capri Sun cravings, Manhattan bagels, jury strategy, and a running gag about Iron Dome Coffee discounts. The episode balances serious discussion with the signature Lox of Laughs energy, as Ashley argues that disagreement should not automatically destroy friendships, working relationships, or opportunities. Meanwhile, Randy explains how social media, public perception, and employment law collide in today's culture—and why “we don't align” may be the most lawyer-adjacent phrase ever written by ChatGPT. By the end, the conversation becomes less about one comedy show and more about modern society's struggle to listen, learn, and coexist with people who think differently. Also: Randy may or may not have stolen the show with his “missing two chromosomes” line and perfectly timed callback jokes.

Redefining Healthcare Through Relationships, Purpose, and Personalized Care with Dr. Stevi Jenkins-KellyGuest: Dr. Stevi Jenkins-Kelly, PharmD, Founder of My Concierge Pharmacy Host: Julie RigaWhat if your pharmacist knew your name, your goals, and your complete health story rather than just your prescription number? In this episode, Julie Riga sits down with Dr. Stevi Jenkins-Kelly, a visionary pharmacist and founder of My Concierge Pharmacy. Together they explore how she left corporate pharmacy to build something new, a practice grounded in personalized service, trust, and a whole-patient approach to wellness. If you have ever felt like just a number in the system, this episode will inspire you to lead with more intention in your own work and life.Redefining Healthcare Through Relationships, Purpose, and Personalized CareAbout the GuestDr. Stevi Jenkins-Kelly is a licensed pharmacist with over 25 years of experience, including time at major chains such as CVS and Publix. She founded My Concierge Pharmacy in West Palm Beach, Florida after finding that most systems are built for volume, not genuine patient care. Her practice is completely independent, self-trademarked, and rooted in one guiding principle: pharmacy as a relationship, not a transaction. She holds advanced certifications in diabetes care and collaborative practice and specializes in medication management, chronic disease support, and preventative health. She serves patients across Florida and Pennsylvania, with direct delivery and personalized consultations at every stage of life.Fun Fact: Dr. Stevi loves salmon in every form. Lox and bagels with capers and onions is her absolute go-to.The Three Ingredients for Concierge Success1. Service as a Foundation True service is never transactional. Dr. Stevi built her team culture around being service-minded at every level. When you are moving a patient out of a system that has failed them, you must become the new definition of what great care looks like.2. Trust Through Follow-Through Trust is built by doing what you say you will do, every single time. My Concierge Pharmacy proactively manages patient profiles, coordinates with providers, and connects with each patient a minimum of six times per year. Patients soon find they do not need to chase anyone because someone is consistently and genuinely watching over their care.3. Customization That Feels Personal Concierge care is never cookie-cutter. Whether the patient is a parent preparing for summer, an elderly person managing chronic illness, or a performance athlete focused on longevity, every care plan is built specifically around that individual. Intentional personalization is what sets real concierge care apart from everything else.Key Insights from This EpisodePharmacists are trained in anatomy, biochemistry, and treatment protocol, making them the chemistry and treatment counterpart to a physician's diagnostic approach. Most patients never access this full depth of knowledge because corporate environments do not allow for it. Concierge pharmacy is changing that reality.Dr. Stevi also applies a micro-therapy model, focusing on one health challenge at a time rather than overwhelming patients with everything at once. This approach builds clarity, confidence, and a genuine sense of control over personal health, growth, and life balance.Connect with Dr. Stevi Jenkins-KellyWebsite: www.myconciergepharmacy.com Book a consult to explore whether concierge pharmacy is right for you. Is this a legitimate health concern, or another attempt to test public fear and compliance? The discussion explores quarantine policies, vaccine pipelines, media narratives, and the lingering fallout from COVID-era distrust. But the hour goes even deeper. Senate hearings involving Rand Paul, questions surrounding government transparency, and concerns over gain-of-function research fuel a broader conversation about accountability and manipulation. Next, the show exposes the hidden traps of healthcare pricing—revealing why you might pay less in cash than with insurance, and how to avoid getting blindsided by outrageous medical bills. Discover insider tips that could save you thousands. The result is a thought-provoking hour that asks a larger question: how much of modern life is driven by information, and how much is driven by fear? HOUR 2 Global Power Shifts, Communist Collapse, And The Growing Cost Of Government Bloat. Hour 2 moves from global geopolitical tensions to frustrations much closer to home. John is joined by Jim Pfaff for a wide-ranging discussion about President Trump's negotiations with China, Taiwan, Iran, Brazil, and Cuba. Is China really the unstoppable superpower the media portrays, or is the communist regime far weaker than most Americans realize? The conversation explores collapsing economies, energy dependence, rare earth minerals, communist influence in South America, and why leaders like Lula in Brazil and the Cuban regime are facing increasing instability. Then John ignites a lively debate on America's energy future, challenging whether wind and solar can truly power our nation—and why nuclear energy may be the missed opportunity of a generation. Cuba's ongoing power crisis is serving as a wake-up call. The conversation then takes aim at government bloat and waste, exposing outrageous taxpayer-funded programs—from dental care for meth addicts in LA to Boulder's overstaffed city departments. It's a no-holds-barred look at who really profits as government keeps expanding—and who pays the price. Controversial topics take center stage—from voter ID laws to redistricting, media narratives, and the high-stakes debate over Colorado's spending priorities. With Senator Michael Bennet's criticism of TABOR in the spotlight, John breaks down whether Colorado's real issues come from a lack of revenue or runaway spending. Sitting on a bus surrounded by Jews carrying rifles was once an exotic quirk of visiting Israel. But that may be changing. Last month, the American National Rifle Association announced it was teaming up with Lox & Loaded, a national Jewish gun club, to help in the fight against antisemitism. It's one of several Jewish gun groups serving a growing cohort of newly gun curious American Jews since Oct. 7, 2023. Chicago's Gayle Pearlstein, who launched Lox & Loaded in March 2025, says the group already has more than 1,000 members and 49 local chapters across the country. And that was before the partnership with the gun lobbying behemoth. Bullets & Bagels membership, based in California, has skyrocketed by about 20%, to 1,000 members, and numerous interviews with gun range operators and firearms instructors across the U.S. revealed similar upticks in interest from Jewish community members. Not everyone is as sanguine on the new turn of events. As the number of Jews arriving at synagogues with a firearm on their hip or in a tallit bag increases, rabbis are reckoning with the place of firearms in their most intimate communal spaces, and trying to balance congregants' - sometimes diametrically opposed - conceptions of safety. In September, the Secure Community Network - the organization that coordinates security for Jewish institutions across the US and Canada - urged synagogues to only allow congregants to carry weapons if they are part of an “organized, vetted, and well-regulated safety and security team.” Others who are wary of the intensifying situation cite well replicated data showing personal guns in the US are far more likely to be used in suicides, domestic violence, or accidents than in fending off an attacker, both for an owner and their family. In Canada, Jewish schools and synagogues have been shot at in at least 8 separate incidents in the past three years. These incidents have sparked calls from some Jews in Canada to allow private security guards to carry firearms, something that is largely illegal under the federal government's strict gun laws. On Sunday, Not in Heaven sent our very own Avi Finegold to join his local Lox & Loaded chapter's shmooze and shoot in Chicago to get a better understanding of this new phenomenon in North American Jewish life. We hear about what he learned and what this shifting relationship to guns means for our communities. Hour three begins with fan favorite self-defense attorney Howard Snader discusses what happens in a self-defense shooting…in fact, as always happens we run out of time so you’ll hear him again on Monday 4/20 for another three segments. Howard was followed by first time AAR guest, Gayle Pearlstein-Founder of Lox and Loaded, founded soon after Oct 7th for “folks with Jewish heritage.” Gayle was followed by my friend, Mark “Oz” Geist, Benghazi HERO for what is a REAL discussion on what actually happened. Mark, of course is known for the movie and book, 13 Hours! NOW, as GREAT as all of my guests were, this final interview of the day was young 9 y/o TX HONEY BADGER who COMPLETELY disarmed me with her incredible innocence and charm! An NRA LIFE member since she was TEN days old, she has been ranked number 2 in the WORLD for her Jujitsu match fighting! She is an avid shooter and was NO DOUBT the FUNNEST interview I have EVER done in near 18 years on the nations airwaves! ENJOY this interview as much as I did. What an AMAZING breath of fresh air!!
The crew is back as we get closer and closer to Episode 400! We kick things off with some hilarious outfit roasting before getting sidetracked by an impromptu push-up challenge debate. Then, we dive right into the music: We give our raw recap of the Tank vs. Tyrese Verzuz battle, explaining why Tank's performance and pen game completely stole the show. We debate whether Jamie Foxx gets enough credit as an R&B artist, if R&B inherently makes for a better Verzuz format than Hip-Hop (shoutout to The LOX vs. Dipset), and who would win a pop-star Verzuz between Britney Spears and Miley Cyrus. We also cover the latest Houston news, including the wild TSA delays at the airport that have led to hilarious cheating rumors about people being "stuck" in the city, plus Lil Flip's tease about the legendary Houston Comets WNBA franchise making a comeback. Finally, we end with some deep late-night texting etiquette, OnlyFans jokes, and wild conspiracy theories about telomeres and aliens! Like many people, I love the well-produced 'live in studio' videos musicians and artists have done over the past decade or so, especially the ongoing series from NPR's Tiny Desk and KEXP's studio sessions. There's also other great performances that mostly are available only in the depths of YouTube, though it seems like some artists are finally realizing they could press these on vinyl or release them separately as well. Here's a few of my favorites over the years that I've been rocking to now and then but figured I'd throw into a mix. Salute to all these amazing folks - like Scarface says, there's something about great music man!! Tracklist: Anderson Paak, Scarface, Liz Vice, Suprise Chef, Jamila Woods, Mac Miller, Freddie Gibbs, Amos Miller, The Lox, Noname
This podcast episode provides a comprehensive overview of the current weather conditions impacting various regions across the United States. The primary focus centers on the significant winter weather hazards affecting the upper Midwest and California, where winter storm warnings have been issued due to heavy snowfall and strong winds. Additionally, concerns about flooding and debris flows in Southern California are addressed, particularly in areas near recent burn scars. Notably, localized boil water advisories are highlighted in several states, including Florida, Georgia, and Virginia, due to water main breaks. As we navigate these pressing weather-related issues, it remains imperative to stay informed through official alerts and advisories.Takeaways:* The National Hurricane Center has reported no active tropical cyclones in the Atlantic or Eastern Pacific regions.* Currently, winter weather dominates the narrative with significant impacts across the upper Midwest and West Coast.* California is facing substantial flood and winter weather challenges, particularly affecting Los Angeles and Ventura counties.* Florida is dealing with a water main break in Lehigh Acres, leading to a precautionary boil water advisory for residents.* Minnesota is currently under a winter storm warning due to adverse weather conditions that may hinder travel safety.* Virginia has issued a citywide boil water advisory in Danville, urging residents to utilize boiled or bottled water for consumption.Sources[NWS | https://forecast.weather.gov/wwamap/wwatxtget.php?cwa=usa&wwa=winter+weather+advisory][NWS | https://forecast.weather.gov/showsigwx.php?firewxzone=CAZ368&lat=33.9071&local_place1=Norwalk+CA&lon=-118.077&product1=Flash+Flood+Warning&warncounty=CAC037&warnzone=CAZ368][NWS | https://forecast.weather.gov/wwamap/wwatxtget.php?cwa=LOX&wwa=winter%2520storm%2520warning][FGUA | https://www.fgua.com/outages_notices/water-main-break-boil-water-advisory-317-main-road-2-16-2026/][City of Fayetteville, GA | https://www.fayetteville-ga.gov/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=752][NWS | https://forecast.weather.gov/wwamap/wwatxtget.php?cwa=usa&wwa=winter+storm+warning][City of Medford | https://www.medfordoregon.gov/News-Articles/Severe-Weather-Shelter-Open-in-Medford-Feb.-16-17][WTAE | https://www.wtae.com/article/shaler-township-police-residents-water-main-break-boil-advisory/70386197][WSET | https://wset.com/news/local/danville-virginia-issues-citywide-boil-water-advisory-february-2026] This is a public episode. Just a half teaspoon of this natural anti-inflammatory acts as a potent ibuprofen substitute for inflammation and pain relief. Discover the best home remedies for pain and inflammation, and learn how to address inflammation at the root. 0:00 Introduction: Natural ibuprofen substitute 0:18 Curcumin, the natural anti-inflammatory 1:58 Pain relievers and ibuprofen comparison 2:08 Ibuprofen effects 3:25 Turmeric as a natural remedy vs. ibuprofen 4:32 More natural pain relief alternatives 6:15 Triggers of pain and inflammation8:25 Preventing inflammation Turmeric contains a potent compound called curcumin that can naturally alleviate pain and inflammation. There are 4 biochemical pathways that act as “master switches” to turn pain and inflammation up or down:1. Pain and inflammatory factory2. Master inflammation on-switch3. Inflammation megaphone 4. Backup inflammatory alarm system Many inflammatory treatments do not address all four pathways. Ibuprofen is great at turning the pain and inflammation switch off, and does so very quickly. Unfortunately, this pathway protects the stomach and kidneys, so ibuprofen can cause stomach ulcers and kidney issues. It also doesn't address the other inflammatory pathways, which is why people often have to take it repeatedly. Tylenol works in the brain, affecting the central nervous system, but does not relieve any inflammation. Similar to ibuprofen, aspirin works on the first inflammatory pathway, which can also affect your stomach.Turmeric affects 3 out of the 4 inflammatory pathways! A double-blind randomized controlled study found that taking 1500 mg of turmeric with black pepper produced results comparable to ibuprofen without the side effects. Extra-virgin olive oil mimics ibuprofen's effects at the molecular level. Try adding it to your salad regularly! Ginger and omega-3 fatty acids also work to reduce inflammation. Boswellia targets the 5-LOX pathway, also known as the backup inflammatory alarm system. There are 5 primary causes that flip the inflammatory switches on, leading to pain and inflammation in the body. By addressing the root cause, you can correct the pain rather than simply managing it. The following 5 factors turn on all of the inflammatory switches:1. Insulin resistance2. Mitochondrial damage3. Chronic oxidative stress4. Leaky gut5. Chronic infectionsTo prevent inflammation and address the root cause, try the following:• Low-carb diet • Eliminate ultra-processed foods• Intermittent fasting/prolonged fasting• Magnesium, vitamin D3, zinc, omega-3sDr. Eric Berg DC Bio:Dr. Berg, age 60, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Analytic Dreamz breaks down the tracklist: “Bronx Zoo Freestyle,” “Golden Goose Freestyle,” “Winter Storm Freestyle,” “99 Build Freestyle,” and “Birthday Blizzard '26” (full playthrough). Themes center on reflection, legacy, career pressures, and public scrutiny—most notably revisiting Cole's public apology to Kendrick Lamar and withdrawal from the Drake vs. Kendrick feud after his “7 Minute Drill” response and Dreamville Festival admission. The episode explores the strategic rollout: foreshadowed by Jadakiss comments on freestyles over The LOX beats like “Money, Power & Respect” and “Can I Live,” it resets the narrative post-beef fallout, reaffirms Cole's lyrical prowess, and builds massive hype for The Fall Off—potentially his final album, handcrafted over a decade. Fan excitement surges, shifting from doubt to anticipation of a contemporary classic.Analytic Dreamz unpacks the bar-heavy credibility boost, introspection, and control over messaging in this no-DSP, birthday-timed release. Today, we delve into the pressing meteorological phenomena affecting various regions across the United States. Our primary focus centers on the continuation of lake effect snow, particularly in the vicinity of lakes Erie and Ontario, as lingering heavy bands persist through midweek. As gale conditions prevail over Lake Erie, with winds reaching 30 to 35 knots and wave heights of 8 to 13 feet, we underscore the significant hazards posed to small craft and shoreline travel. Furthermore, we address the ongoing recovery efforts in the aftermath of a debilitating blizzard that has left over 150,000 without power, with Michigan bearing the brunt of the impacts. Additionally, we explore the forecast for Southern California, where moderate to strong Santa Ana winds precede a series of rain events that may provoke hazardous conditions, including potential mudslides and debris flows on recent burn scars.Takeaways:* The ongoing weather events include lake effect snow affecting areas downwind of the Great Lakes today.* California is experiencing moderate to strong Santa Ana winds, posing risks for hazardous conditions.* Power restoration efforts are underway following the extensive blizzard impacts that affected multiple states.* Significant rainfall is anticipated in Southern California midweek, leading to potential mudslides and flooding.* The recent magnitude 5.1 earthquake in Alaska prompted a tsunami information statement but no immediate warnings were issued.* Winter advisories and lake effect snow warnings remain active across various states, impacting travel conditions significantly.Sources[USGS — M5.1, 93 km N of Yakutat, AK | https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eventpage/us7000rlhy][NWS Los Angeles (LOX) — Rain/Santa Ana Overview | https://www.weather.gov/lox/][NWS LOX Area Forecast Discussion | https://forecast.weather.gov/product.php?issuedby=LOX&site=LOX&product=AFD&format=CI&version=1][Iowa DOT/DPS — Plan to Reopen I-35 (News Release) | https://iowadot.gov/news/2025-12-29/iowa-dot-and-dps-plan-reopen-interstate-35-early-afternoon-december-29][KCRG — I-35 Fully Reopens (Local Confirmation) | https://www.kcrg.com/2025/12/29/i-35-fully-reopens-after-nearly-24-hour-blizzard-closure-north-central-iowa/?outputType=amp][NWS Baltimore/Washington (LWX) — High Wind Warning (Highland Co.
