The crew is back as we get closer and closer to Episode 400! We kick things off with some hilarious outfit roasting before getting sidetracked by an impromptu push-up challenge debate. Then, we dive right into the music: We give our raw recap of the Tank vs. Tyrese Verzuz battle, explaining why Tank's performance and pen game completely stole the show. We debate whether Jamie Foxx gets enough credit as an R&B artist, if R&B inherently makes for a better Verzuz format than Hip-Hop (shoutout to The LOX vs. Dipset), and who would win a pop-star Verzuz between Britney Spears and Miley Cyrus. We also cover the latest Houston news, including the wild TSA delays at the airport that have led to hilarious cheating rumors about people being "stuck" in the city, plus Lil Flip's tease about the legendary Houston Comets WNBA franchise making a comeback. Finally, we end with some deep late-night texting etiquette, OnlyFans jokes, and wild conspiracy theories about telomeres and aliens! Why do women fall for superheroes but turn away from the man behind the glasses? In this episode of Inlightened Ediot, we strip down the myth of “the nice guy” through a lens of pop culture and psychology. Lois Lane never wanted Clark—she wanted Superman. Mary Jane didn't dream of Peter Parker—she craved Spider-Man. And Harley Quinn… she wanted the Joker exactly as he was, chaos and all. So what does that say about attraction? Are women drawn to danger more than devotion? Is authenticity losing to the illusion of power and mystery? This conversation shatters clichés about modern dating, masculinity, and what it really means to be desirable today. Forget the capes, the chaos, and the "corny nice guy" trope—this episode flips every love story you thought you understood and asks: when it comes to romance, are we in love with people, or the personas they perform?
In this raw, emotional, and unforgettable interview, UNKASA visibly struggles to hold back emotion as he finally tells the truth about Dipset, brotherhood, money, ego, and being erased from hip-hop history. For the first time in decades, UNKASA opens up about the pain behind the legacy, watching relationships fall apart, being counted out, and carrying the weight of Harlem and the music industry without ever being properly credited or paid. As the conversation deepens, the moment becomes overwhelming as he speaks on: * Dipset's rise, fracture, and internal breakdown * Never making a dollar from Dipset * How money and ego destroyed real brotherhood * Being present in the early days but written out later * Selling hundreds of CDs hand-to-hand before industry deals * Losing friends, funerals, and unresolved grief * Why vulnerability is punished while disrespect is celebrated * Mental health and surviving the industry * His message to Cam'ron, Jim Jones & Juelz Santana * Why “we don't have time anymore” This isn't internet drama. This isn't revisionist history. This is a grown man confronting years of pain in real time, speaking honestly about legacy, loss, and love for a culture that doesn't always love you back.
On Episode 207 of We're All Set, Rich and Uncle Free are joined by friend of the pod Dyce Payso for a wide-ranging conversation that blends music industry insight, fatherhood, travel, culture, and real-life growth.Dyce talks about building with intention through his Boss Bread project and why collaboration only works when everyone brings real value to the table. The crew also gets personal, with Dyce opening up about becoming a father, balancing music, marriage, and friendships, and the importance of organizing life so success doesn't come at the cost of family.Later, Free shares stories from his travels across London, Germany, Italy, and Spain, breaking down how international experiences expand your mindset, create global connections, and teach lessons you simply can't learn staying local.Of course, it wouldn't be We're All Set without cultural debates. The crew dives into Dipset tensions, other rap debates like Jadakiss vs. Common, and how media narratives and algorithms can shape public opinion in hip-hop. They also discuss J. Cole, authenticity in rap, and how certain artists get positioned differently in culture conversations. The episode continues with reactions to Nicki Minaj's political alignment, unpacking celebrity influence and how fans respond when artists step into politics.Later in the episode, the energy shifts into the signature segments: a fresh Drip Report with fashion talk and brand value debates, followed by Elite Scumbaggery, where the crew calls out questionable behavior in politics and culture — including crypto controversies tied to public figures. Sports fans also get fed with Hall of Fame and legacy debates across football and beyond. The episode wraps the way it always does — with the We're All Set segment and final reflections.Tap in, subscribe, and drop a comment on the topic that hit home for you most.Guest: Dyce Payso#WeAllSet #DycePayso #HipHopPodcast #BossBread #Fatherhood #Travel #Dipset #JCole #NickiMinaj #Fashion #SportsTalk 0:02:41 Dyce Payso on Boss Bread, Music Business & Building a Strong Team0:05:30 Fatherhood, Life Balance & Managing Music Career Responsibilities0:10:07 Free on European Travel: London, Germany, Italy & Spain Experiences0:31:02 Fabolous vs Lloyd Banks: Mixtape Legacy & Rap Catalog Debate0:36:55 Drip Report: Streetwear, Fashion Pricing & Timeless Brands0:39:25 Elite Scumbaggery: Politics, Culture & Questionable Behavior0:42:10 Jadakiss vs Common: Lyrical Skill vs Cultural Impact0:46:09 Nicki Minaj Politics Debate: Celebrity Influence & Fan Reactions0:59:10 NFL Hall of Fame Debate: Player Legacy, Controversy & Voting1:26:17 We're All Set Segment https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZdlA9w1H0UAR8fW5nINI9Q?sub_confirmation=1Donate To Help Us Make More Content and Buy Merch @ www.AllSetPod.storeFollow Us On Social Media @WereAllSetPodPodcast Audio linksApple -https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/were-all-set/id1476457304Spotify - https://open.spotify.com/show/6frdwXOehWMk5OPj2YnAMa?si=nGrL2OFCQ3u_yf-hJs9lhQGoogle Pods -https://podcasts.google.com/feed/aHR0cDovL2ZlZWRzLnNvdW5kY2xvdWQuY29tL3VzZXJzL3NvdW5kY2xvdWQ6dXNlcnM6NTQ4NTIzNTAxL3NvdW5kcy5yc3MAmazon - https://www.amazon.com/Were-All-Set/dp/B08JJR8DSFPandora - https://www.pandora.com/podcast/were-all-set/PC:1000430306ListenNotes.com - https://www.listennotes.com/podcasts/were-all-set-all-set-media-K73x2ck58fg/Overcast - https://overcast.fm/itunes1476457304/were-all-setPocket Casts - https://pca.st/cwq90uydRadio Public - https://radiopublic.com/were-all-set-8jOkelhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZdlA9w1H0UAR8fW5nINI9Q?sub_confirmation=1
Hip-hop has always been competitive — but lately the beef feels louder than the music. In this solo Ern episode, I break down the recent tensions surrounding Jim Jones, Dipset, 50 Cent, and Papoose, and use it as a jumping-off point to talk about something deeper:how hip-hop rivalry works, why we give grace outside the culture but not inside it, and the role fans play in shaping what hip-hop has become. We talk about why people say certain artists “don't have to respond” because they're rich, executives, or successful in TV — and whether that logic even belongs in hip-hop.I also dig into the uncomfortable truth: fans are selfish with the culture. We decide who's allowed in, who's respected, and who gets ignored — all while rarely contributing to the wealth of hip-hop ourselves. This episode isn't about picking sides. It's about ownership, competition, ego, and accountability — from artists and fans.
This month on ThrowBLKs, we're celebrating Cam'ron's 'Purple Haze' — easily one of our favorite albums of all-time. Continuing our Rocafella journey from November, we're unpacking the chaotic buildup to this album: Dipset's meteoric rise, the anticipation that came from one of the best bootlegs ever and the label chaos that became a big part of the album's history. We go track-by-track through the entire album, breaking down our favorite verses, standout moments and the tracks that solidified Cam as one of our favorite MCs ever. Press play and join us in revisiting a certified classic, but have those karaoke mics ready.

In this episode of the Ern and Iso Podcast, the fellas dive into one of the biggest conversations floating around the culture right now: why 50 Cent doesn't feel the need to rap anymore — and why the public doesn't actually care. The conversation kicks off with reflections on the end of the year, gratitude for the supporters, and why the barbershop mentality still drives so much of hip-hop discourse. From there, things heat up fast as Ern and Iso break down the back-and-forth surrounding 50 Cent, the freestyle response involving Fabolous, Jim Jones, and Dave East, and why 50 may be “too powerful” to even engage musically. Is this really about bars anymore — or is it about money, mystique, and perception? The guys challenge the long-standing belief that diss records end careers, revisiting the myth that 50 “ended” Ja Rule and why survival — not victory — is the real outcome of rap beefs.Later in the episode, the discussion widens to the culture itself:Why fans fake-care about lyrical competitionWhy money always outweighs artistry in public opinionAnd why certain legends are considered “unmovable,” even when they stop dropping musicThe episode also touches on:The fallout from the Sean Combs documentary and the growing legal chaos around CassieNew lawsuits, public perception, and the uncomfortable realities behind celebrity scandalsInternal tensions in collectives like Dipset and why “your man's man” dynamics are common in hip-hop groupsA return to the Nas & DJ Premier album debate — why lyrics aren't always enough if the beats don't connectThis episode is raw, unfiltered, and very honest about how hip-hop conversations actually happen — not online, but in real barbershops, real group chats, and real life.Tap in, leave a comment, and let us know:
On this episode of The Danza Project, Danza sits down with JR Writer, Hell Rell, and Duke Da God for an in-depth conversation on Dipset's legacy, ownership, and the evolution of hip-hop culture. The Harlem and Bronx representatives reflect on their rise during the mixtape era, the realities of navigating the music industry, and the long-term impact of Dipset on New York rap. They speak candidly about being counted out rather than left out, reclaiming ownership of their music, and why this current chapter is about control, longevity, and respect... not nostalgia. Throughout the interview, they discuss: The origins of Dipset and how the movement was built from the ground up The importance of owning masters and learning the business side of music How hip-hop culture has shifted from authenticity to entertainment The changing perception of street credibility and accountability in rap Internal politics, reunions, and how narratives around Dipset are often misunderstood Discovering producer A-Trak at a young age and early creative collaborations Why Double Trouble represents growth, independence, and unfinished business This episode offers a rare, first-hand perspective from artists who helped define an era and continue to shape the culture on their own terms. This week on Black on Black Cinema, the crew returns to announce the next film to be reviewed, "On Becoming a Guinea Fowl." The film starts on an empty road in the middle of the night, where Shula stumbles across the body of her uncle. As funeral proceedings begin around them, she and her cousins bring to light the buried secrets of their middle-class Zambian family. The random topic of the week is all about Juelz Santana's comments on kids not needing to know how to read in the modern era and that it is somehow more important to know how to start a business instead. The host discuss the levels of anti-intellectualism that is within these ideas and why we as a community need to push back on them hard.

Interview by Spitty / spittywill We recently traveled up to New York to holla at legendary producer, Rsonist of The Heatmakerz for a special Fat Beats Edition of “Off The Porch”! Best known for producing most of your favorite Dispet songs to Lil Wayne's “Tha Mobb”, Rsonist shares his experiences growing up in the Bronx in a Jamaican household making music out of his moms basement and how his diverse music taste helped him create a lot of his ground work for sampling, while carving a lane for himself within the culture. Rsonist talks about jumping off the porch around 15 years old, often getting in trouble because he would sneak out the house to DJ parties and how he didn't hear his first Hip-Hop record until he was a sophomore in high school. He discusses his first production placement with Canibus, transitioning from being a beat maker to being a producer, how he met Cam and how he ended up getting 9 beats on the Diplomatic Immunity project. He also gives his perspective on producers clearing music so that they can use the sample along with telling artists and producers how to peep game and pay attention to the business side of things as well as his new instrumental album The Anti Social Experiment, the motivation to do an instrumental album and more! Send us a textThe Mixed Vibez Podcast welcomes back B-Fines, host of the Big and Lazy podcast, for an episode packed with hip-hop debates and entertainment news.At the heart of this episode is a fascinating debate about Jay-Z potentially headlining the next Super Bowl Halftime Show. We weigh whether Hov's catalog and performance style would translate to the massive mainstream audience, considering his age, recent musical output, and relationship dynamics with potential guest performers. We compare previous halftime shows and speculate which songs might make the cut, questioning if Jay's explicit content would work in the family-friendly environment of the Super Bowl.Lil Wayne's latest release The Carter VI has dropped. We discuss how the project feels more like a collection of mixtape tracks than a cohesive album, while acknowledging Wayne still demonstrates his legendary rap skills. We compare this release to Wayne's earlier Carter installments sets an unfair standard, with Carter II and III representing the pinnacle of Wayne's artistry for different reasons. The conversation shifts to Jim Jones claiming to be a bigger artist than Nas, which prompts a spirited ranking of Dipset members' careers and cultural impact. This nostalgia-filled discussion highlights iconic songs like "Ballin'" that transcended hip-hop to become part of everyday vernacular, showcasing how these hosts can analyze music both as fans and cultural critics.FOLLOW. Send us a textThis episode of Veto's Corner kicks off with the Anthony Edwards baby mama drama — the NBA star opting out of custody while being willing to pay child support. Is it a smart move or a bad look? We break it down. Then, we dive into the heated clash between Stephen A. Smith and LeBron James. Was LeBron out of line for checking Stephen A. about his son, or was he just being a protective dad? We're weighing in on both sides. Next up, Lamont Roach isn't backing down after that controversial draw with Gervonta Davis. He's bringing in the lawyers — was the decision fair, or is Roach right to fight back? We also revisit the ongoing beef between Jim Jones and Cam'ron — why can't these Dipset icons let it go? And of course, it wouldn't be **Veto's Corner** without touching on the latest round of Donald Trump's shenanigans. You already know it's a mess. Send us a textThis episode of *Veto's Corner* kicks off with a deep dive into the blockbuster trade rumors surrounding Luka Dončić and Anthony Davis. Would a deal between the Mavericks and Lakers shake up the league, or is it just another NBA fantasy? From there, we switch gears to LiAngelo Ball, making the case that he's not only an underrated hooper but also a better rapper than Cam'ron. That leads us into a heated discussion about Cam'ron's lyrical ability, whether Dipset was more of a gimmick than a movement, and where Juelz Santana truly stood in the rap game during his prime. We then celebrate Angel Reese's incredible gesture of paying off her mother's mortgage, proving she's winning both on and off the court. Finally, we touch on a more serious topic—Dwyane Wade's recent health battle, his decision to remove 40% of his kidney, and what this means for him moving forward.
