A 9-year-old Auckland boy has been told he can no longer play age-grade rugby with his friends because he's over the weight limit. The student was one of 106 children who applied for a weight dispensation in the Counties Manukau Rugby Football Union club competition - and after being denied, has opted out of playing any winter sport this year. The union explained structures are in place to ensure player safety and fairness in competition. Rugby commentator Kevin Putt says safety concerns have impacted other decisions made by clubs. "You know that they've actually taken away tackle...they had ripper rugby going for years. We're talking now about an exclusion of an individual - they're trying to save the game as it is at the moment." LISTEN ABOVESee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Dan Landman is the founder of Spoiler Golf and the inventor of the Spoiler OG Putter. The idea for Spoiler Golf came from putting with a wedge and, by extension, learning how pure the ball rolled from the leading edge of a Wedge vs the traditional “flat face” of a putter. Dan and Spoiler Golf believe a better roll of the golf ball unlocks a better putting experience, and so they set out to change the face of putting for everybody. Dan's suspicion of a purer roll of the ball coming off the leading edge of a club vs the face of a putter was confirmed with research measuring the skid and roll of golf ball. He and his engineer/designer doubled down on their efforts and built a number of "Leading Edge" putters. Eventually after much trial and error they settled on the Spoiler OG - a putter where form truly met function. Dan explains the Leading Edge technology as he introduces the Spoiler Putter. He also addresses: The importance of putting and the role it plays in lowering scores How the Leading Edge technology works How Leading Edge technology enhances focus and concentration on the process of excecution on the greens Impact location for success in distance control and accuracy Mitigating the yips with Leading Edge technology, and How the Spoiler gives instant feedback for quicker, more purpose-driven learning. North Carolina's House Bill 163 would require pharmacies to be reimbursed at NADAC (National Average Drug Acquisition Cost) plus a fair dispensing fee, which would protect NC pharmacies - ensuring they can stay in business and continue providing critical care to patients. As usual, PBMs are spreading misinformation designed to scare patients and lawmakers by mislabeling these reforms as “taxes” and falsely claiming reforms will increase premiums.Join the PUTT cocktail crew with NC pharmacy owners Wes Hickman, PharmD, & Stephen Joyce, RPh (PUTT board member) as they break down the benefits of HB 163, dispel the myths that PBM deceptions create, and discuss the importance of building strong relationships - because when it comes to pharmacy issues and helpful reform legislation, pharmacists really are the smartest people in the room.Music by JuliusH | Production & Editing by Shannon Wightman-Girard

We temporarily leave the Billie Sol Estes Mini-Series and pivot now to a Mini-Series on Mac Wallace. Today's episode is the third in our story about Wallace as we cover the Douglas Kinser murder trial. Wallace was charged and convicted of the murder but received only a five year sentence which was suspended. In Texas at the time, this was a crime that for most people, would have put them in the electric chair. Defended by Lyndon Johnson's own attorney John Cofer and provided bail by two of Johnson's closer associates, the implications are that Johnson was at the very least taking steps to carefully control the trial and its outcome. Many believe that Johnson's objective was to keep his sister Josefa out of the trial and avoid perhaps exposing some of Johnson's corrupt practices. Others were more nefarious in their assessment of Johnson's motives, believing perhaps that Wallace was sent to silence Kinzer after Kinzer attempted to blackmail Johnson through Josefa. All of this possibly coming about, after Josefa said too much to Kinzer about Johnson's involvement in the 1948 stolen senate election and perhaps other dealings of Johnson. According to this line of thinking, Kinzer was attempting to strong arm Johnson and secure an SBA loan to improve the operations of his Pitch and Putt golf course. You now know most of the scandalous aspects of Estes and how Wallace might have fit in...and it wont be much longer, after the Wallace Mini-Series, that you will hear the story of Bobby Baker. These men were all members of Johnson's Texas inner circle. Oh, and there is more on the Billie Sol Estes affair, so be patient and stay tuned and you will hear it before we complete the larger series covering these four men. Wallace was indeed a convicted murderer and we take you through the crime in this episode. The murder of Doug Kinser. It will be up to you to determine if this was a crime of passion that did not define who the rather intellectual Wallace really was, or whether it was symptomatic of his core and the cold blooded killer that Billie Sol Estes made him out to be. All of these men were quite intertwined around Johnson at the time of the assassination. They were involved in circumstances that were closing in on Johnson too and that provided him great motive in the killing of the President. The story is extraordinary. After hearing of Wallace's possible involvement in multiple murders related to the Estes scandal and possibly even President Kennedy's murder, it is time to learn more about just who Mac Wallace really was. Sit back and enjoy this Mini-Series covering Wallace.Rumors of Johnson's involvement began to swirl almost immediately after the President's assassination and there is a defined school of thought within the JFK assassination research community that staunchly believes in Johnson's involvement. His involvement in both the assassination and its cover up. Join us in one of the most fascinating story tells of the Kennedy assassination and stick around as we will be returning to the Mexico City series right after we complete this min-series that was spawned by the recent release of the Billy Sol Estes and Cliff Carter tape that the two recorded in 1971. Folks, you just can't write this stuff. Even as early as 1964, rumors and serious concerns over the lone gunman theory and the evidence that might contravene it, were becoming a major concern for the government and the commission. Conspiracy theories were contrary to the government's stated narrative from the very beginning. This real-life story is more fascinating than fiction. No matter whether you are a serious researcher or a casual student, you will enjoy the fact filled narrative and story as we relive one of the most shocking moments in Americ

Recently an open letter was sent by 100 Christian leaders across Aotearoa to the government, calling for humanitarian visas to be granted to Palestinians in Gaza who have family in New Zealand. The letter's delivery to parliament grounds will be accompanied by nationwide Gaza ceasefire pilgrimages held today on Ash Wednesday, symbolising the walk from Bethlehem to Jerusalem and stopping to pray at points that also symbolise Israeli checkpoints in the West bank. The open letter's writing and delivery are part of a wider movement in Aotearoa spearheaded by Aotearoa Christians for Peace in Palestine - a cross-denominational group of Christians in support of Palestinians in the occupied territories looking to counteract the Christian Zionist Evangelical movement. Oto spoke to Esmé Hulbert-Putt - a coordinator at Christians United for Refuge Aotearoa, to discuss the open letter, the ceasefire pilgrimages and why Christians should support the Palestinian people.
