As often happens, the title of the eppy says it all. This time Ron, Steve, and John endure and /or enjoy the next four Halloween sequels in their summer-long Watch-em-all commitment: 1998's Halloween H20, aka the return of franchise heroine Jamie Lee Curtis as prototypical final girl Laurie Strode—and then three other movies, one of which features Busta Rhymes using kung fu on Michael Myers. Welcome to DangerTainment!

Topics of discussion in this episode include the Danny Ocean-esque planning that Michael Myers does in his downtime; Laurie Strode constructs a trap that would make Kevin McCallister jealous; and finally, for the first time we find ourselves fully supporting Michael's brutal killings as he is merely protecting his home from invaders. You can also Follow Us on Twitter, Like Us on Facebook, or shoot us an email at apocalypsevideopod@gmail.com Would you join Freddie's quest to give America a good show by spending the night in the house of notorious serial killer Michael Myers? This week's episode lets the Dangertainment begin with 2002's "Halloween: Resurrection." We talk about why we don't hate this harmlessly fun sequel, and get into the genius of Busta Rhymes. Listen now.

Trick or Trash has arrived, boils and ghouls!
Y'all had enough Halloween? (Gimme some more!) Y'all want the wild kills? (Gimme some more!) Yo Michael where the knife at? (Gimme some more!) I know you all need that. (Gimme some more!) Even though he slaying those kids you can, (Gimme some more!) With the mask and the big crib (Gimme some more!) Everybody try to run and hide! (Gimme some more!) If you want it let me hear you say GIMME SOME MORE! Back at it again in this Halloween franchise with one of the more bottom of the list films. Michael is back (duh) and headed back home (duh) and now has some openings in his schedule for some new clients. The new blood meeting the shape is the cast of a web show from Dangertainment, ran by Freddy (Busta Rhymes - FLIPMODE!), in a very before its time idea by having a group of selected college kids and following them through the Myers house letting the viewers join the journey via body cams. It definitely gives Michael something different to work with, oh and dealing with the kung fu.... watch the movie, it happens. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/creepinitreel/support

In honor of Halloween Kills slicing up the box office (and the holiday of Halloween in general) we reviewed a less successful foray into the franchise with possibly its worst entry, 2002's Halloween: Resurrection! After decapitating Michael Myers in the last film, the embarrassingly titled but by all accounts decent Halloween H20: 20 Years Later, this movie opens with Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) in a mental institution. The exposition nurse reveals that in a stunning plot twist that allows them to make more Halloween movies, Michael switched his outfit with that of an innocent father of three EMT, who was the person Laurie actually decapitated. Michael is still alive. Laurie is in a constant state of pretend shock one year later, but lies in wait for Michael to come for her on Halloween so she can unleash her trap. Unfortunately for Laurie (and fortunately for Jamie Lee Curtis, who desperately wanted to stop making these movies) Michael slips out of the trap and kills her. A year later, and unrelated to everything that just happened, some college students sign up to star in a livestreamed internet reality series called Dangertainment. After being recruited by Freddie Harris (Busta Rhymes) and Nora Winston (Tyra Banks), the cadre of horny teens are locked in Michael Myers's childhood home and must search for clues as to why he's so crazy. But what's really crazy is Michael has been living under the house this entire time and emerges to kill them off!
Greg and Jenius close out their tour of Haddonfield with some Dangertainment as they talk Halloween Resurrections!
On this edition of Cinebriety, we explore the 2002 Halloween: Resurrection. Kyle had not seen this movie, so Jim and an inebriated Josh retell the accounts of the movie, in all of its glory, hilarity and whatever else one could call it. This is NOT a full length commentary, as I don't think anyone wants that. Enjoy some stories, references and a lot of other nonsense. Nick and Peyton are joined (via internet) by Anton Jackson to discuss Halloween: Resurrection! They talk about the movie theater Anton saw the movie in, Busta Rhymes as an actor, and what the early 2000s were like in the United States. DANGERTAINMENT! Originally released 10/1/2018.
Finally, an installation in the Halloween franchise for the internet Generation... it's 2002's Halloween: Resurrection! Jamie Lee is back (for like a minute), plus Tyra Banks and Busta Rhymes awkwardly host our journey. So, if you really wanna party with me, put Forever Midnight where your ears can see, straight Mike Myers in the place to be! To further quote Mr Rhymes, "Trick or treat, motherf*ucker!"
The guys are surprisingly warm to this largely unloved installment, which has Michael adrift after besting his nemesis (Laurie dropped the knife again). Busta Rhymes doesn’t inspire Michael, he confuses him, but that puts the Shape in situations no one could have seen coming... Like getting chewed out by his boss?!
You know what they say about being in a hole? When you find yourself there, keep digging until you find another hole with worse acting and less plausible storylines. And that's what we did. Following up on last week's foray into the weird later additions to the "Halloween" franchise, we're talking about the 2002 film "Halloween: Resurrection." Special topics for your consideration include: the academic and romantic careers of a bunko Jon Snow, destroying the world vis a vis Daylight Savings Time, criminally under-using Tyra Banks, whether ad-libbing qualifies as Dangertainment and parsing reality television. We haven't talked about many reality show-based horror movies (sidenote: are there any good reality show-based horror movies? Let us know!) so I guess just listen to some of my favorites: Episode 104- "I Know Who Killed Me," Episode 108- "The Wicker Man" (remake) and just for fun, Episode 6- "Alucarda." Halloween: Resurrection is infamous for two things: its massive retcon and Busta Rhymes. The movie takes the fad of the early 2000's reality TV and places the Big Brother -esque contestants of an internet TV show to the house of Michael Myers, the brutal mass murderer. To ensure further trendiness, the show is led by Busta Rhymes and Tyra Banks. And remember: as soon as you press play on this episode - no one will be allowed to leave until the show is over! Let the Dangertainment begin-a!

Three years after the successful reboot to the Halloween series, the producers followed it with...internet reality TV?! Briefly picking up the new storyline started in H20 and then quickly killing it; Resurrection follows six teenagers as they goof around in Michael's house all while filming for Dangertainment's reality show, but Michael returns home, picking them off one by one. This installment actually wasn't a failure at the box-office but it was harshly scorned by fans of the series. 16 years later is there still some fun to be had with the most reviled installment in the Halloween franchise?
