Rory McIlroy seeks his second straight major title of 2026 while Scottie Scheffler aims to raise the Wanamaker Trophy for the second consecutive year as the 108th PGA Championship tees off Thursday at Aronimink Golf Club outside of Philadelphia. And who better to talk about the challenges that stand before the strongest field in major championship golf than Jeff Kiddie, now in his 19th year as the PGA Head Professional at Aronimink. In addition to being a major part of the Aronimink family, Jeff has also been honored by his PGA of America family, having been named the 2023 PGA Golf Professional of the Year. Discover what makes Aronimink special, what holes stand out on the classic Donald Ross design, and what score Jeff thinks is needed to be crowned the new PGA Champion. All that, and a special tribute to the great amateur golfer, Jay Sigel, right now on "Musings on Golf."
Nobody knows Aronimink like Director of Golf Jeff Kiddie. He's spent the last 18 years preparing one of golf's oldest clubs for big moments. Now comes the biggest yet: the 2026 PGA Championship, returning to the Philadelphia area for the first time since Gary Player hoisted the Wanamaker Trophy at Aronimink in 1962. On this episode of the TGJ Podcast, Kiddie joins host Tom Coyne in the clubhouse to preview the tournament: what makes this par-70 Donald Ross layout so uniquely demanding, what the 2017 Gil Hanse restoration returned to the course, and a hole-by-hole breakdown that reveals where the championship will be won and lost. The Golfer's Journal and this podcast are made possible by reader support. Every Wednesday, we hand the mic over to the smallest but mightiest voices in KwaZulu-Natal! The kids of our province take centre stage to share something special with us and honestly? They never disappoint. J Sbu asked the kids of KwaZulu-Natal one big question: what should grown-ups do to keep the person they love happy? From "put that phone away" to "stop fighting," the answers were equal parts sweet and brutally honest. If you missed it live, listen in...
Singer/songwriter D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, is accused of killing a 14-year-old girl he'd allegedly been sexually abusing for years in order to keep her quiet about their relationship. Prosecutors say the singer, now 21, stabbed Celeste Rivas Hernandez to death at the Hollywood Hills home he was renting in April 2025, then allegedly dismembered her using a chainsaw. Her remains were found months later in the front trunk of a Tesla connected back to Burke. What a show! WWe dive deep into the life of Shirley Temple Black, from her young life as a precocious little girl with a smile, to her mother's enrolling her in the Meglin Kiddies Dance School at the age of three, to her subsequent discovery a few months later, hiding behind the piano when Educational Pictures director Charles Lamont came to the school looking for talent. She at first joined the Baby Burlesks, a somewhat uncomfortable series in which toddlers, clad in costumes above the waist and diapers below recreated onscreen moments from more famous pictures...this led to many unclomfortable moments among viewers. But her performance in Stand Up and Cheer! impressed the directors at Fox who signed her to a simple contract and proceeded to make movies like The Littlest Rebel, Curly Top, Dimples, amd The Littlest Princess where she played an adorable moppet with an unforgettable smile who became the single most bankable star of the 1930's. Not one performer in that era made as much as this singing and tap-dancing little starlet. When she aged out of that kind of role both Fox and MGM tried to repackage heer and she made a handful of films that ranged from watchable to deeply forgettable. MGM released her from her contract and she married her first husband, who was unable to handle the pressure of BEING her husband leading to his drinking and their divorce. Eventually she would marry Charles Alden Black who would be her husband till his death in 2004. She would also become a politician and candidate for congress, a stateswoman and a diplomat during the 70's and 80;s. She would move from this role to a quite life at home, only turning up occasionally in interviews or to collect an honor, though when she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and eventually got a mastectomy she was very public with her diagnosis, treatment and an advocacy for testing early and frequently, Otherwise she lived a quiet life until she would eventually pass away in the early 2010's. She would be mourned on morning news programs across the country and we dive deep into her amazing life in this Women's History Month special episode.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/family-plot--4670465/support.

An innocuous enough theme, cartoons with dogs and cats as the subject, brought Jordan and Marc to this episode. The majority of this episode contains the sort of Looney Tunes fare one would expect from the 50s, like a wild Sylvester in peril short called A Kiddie's Kitty, and an underrated McKimson short animated by just one guy, 'Pappy's Puppy'. But the third short, McKimson's 'Mixed Master' resulted in one of the strangest and most horrifying indications that any Looney Tunes short has set forth. Jordan and Marc thought they were prepared for it, and I don't think you will be either. Links:Support us on PatreonFollow us on TwitterFollow us on BlueskyFollow us on Instagram

For many people, most of the planning is over. Everything‘s been set up, and it's almost time for the big holiday meal. The one thing that young people look forward to on Christmas is the chance to sit with the adults at the dinner table. If you have a big family, you often have to sit at the kiddie table. That can last for years upon years. And most kids don't enjoy that. I didn't have a big family growing up, so I never had to deal with it. But when given a chance, sitting with the youngsters was always my choice. I'd rather sit with the kids and enjoy their company than hang with the adults... As we close off Kiddies' Hotline for the year, we're celebrating a proudly KZN story that is making waves far beyond our coastline. Northlands Primary's First Lego League team, the Smooth Sailors, have just made history. After an incredible performance at the national “Unearthed” First Lego League competition in Johannesburg, they've secured their spot to represent South Africa on the world stage in South Korea next year. Now, this team didn't just show up, they delivered excellence in robot design, innovation, teamwork and pure creativity, earning the prestigious Champions Award and placing fourth in the country. Their journey is a testament to grit, imagination, and the power of STEM education right here in Durban North. Stacey and J Sbu caught up with 12-year-old Kirthan Cross, the
The school year is wrapping up, the homework is slowing down, the exams are out the way and the holidays are calling. Before we all head into summer mode, we want to hear from you. What were your big highlights this year? Maybe you nailed a tough subject, made a new friend, learned a new sport, joined a club, won an award or finally understood those tricky maths fractions. Maybe you took part in your first concert, became class monitor, improved your reading, or even just survived Grade 4, that counts too.
Have you ever had a song stuck in your head that you can sing from start to finish without missing a beat? Maybe it's a fun nursery rhyme, a catchy pop tune, or even your favourite theme song from a cartoon! Knowing all the words to a song is like having a secret super power, you can sing it anywhere, anytime. Aunty Stacey and Uncle J Sbu asked your little ones to use their tiny voices to sing out loud. In this episode of The Pet Pig Podcast, host Autumn highlights the life-or-death importance of keeping pigs cool and hydrated during hot summer months. Whether a pig lives indoors or outside, summer heat poses real dangers—especially since pigs don't sweat and can't regulate their body temperature like humans. -Hydration is essential: Fresh, clean water is non-negotiable. Cold water helps cool pigs internally, but it must be paired with external cooling methods. -Cooling methods: Reliable shade (not just patches that move with the sun)/ Mud wallows (cooling and protective against sunburn and bugs) / Kiddie pools (kept clean and refilled) / Fans, especially in humid climates where water evaporation isn't effective. -Water Bowl Solutions: Heavy-duty rubber or concrete bowls / Fence-mounted or anchored buckets / Automatic livestock waterers / Frozen water bottles or ice blocks to keep water cooler longer. Warning Signs of Heat Stress or Dehydration: Panting (an emergency sign), Lethargy, confusion, or staggering/ Hot skin, especially behind ears / Refusal to eat or drink / Vomiting or diarrhea. Emergency Actions: Move the pig to a shaded, cool area / offer cold water, and cool them gradually with a damp cloth—not ice-cold water / Contact a vet immediately if symptoms are present. Quick Checklist: Always offer cool, clean water / Refresh water at least 3x/day / Ensure shade and/or cooling areas / Use fans in humid environments / Check on pigs frequently / Have backup water in case of outages! Summer heat can be deadly for pigs if not properly managed. Proactive hydration and cooling strategies are key to keeping them healthy and safe! This edition of Crosstalk began with Jim reminding listeners in Florida, and particularly in Wisconsin, about today's election. In Wisconsin the key race is between Republican Brad Schimel and Democrat Susan Crawford. Jim described this election (which has had over 100 million dollars poured into it) as really being about life vs. abortion, male and female vs. gender fluidity, religious liberty vs. religious bondage and the rule of law vs. judicial activism. As Jim explained, even congressional boundaries are at stake as well. Audio from House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries highlights this segment of the program. The remainder of the program addressed some of the violence going on in American society today in order to make you "understanding of the times" (1 Chronicles 12:32). Matthew 24:37 tells us what life was like in the days of Noah and that this environment would repeat itself at the time of the coming of the Son of Man. Is it possible his coming is not far off? You decide as Jim gives you a brief glimpse of the violence through numerous stories like the ones below:Violence in the womb--Since the Supreme Court's abortion decision in 1973, there's been just over 66.6 million babies killed in the U.S. via abortion. An American teenage girl was taken into custody by Paris police after her newborn baby was thrown from the window of a hotel on the outskirts of the city. The baby died of severe injuries.A Kentucky museum says a Planned Parenthood staffer inadvertently provided sexually explicit coloring books to kids as young as 8 years old at an event earlier this month.Lawmakers in Maryland advanced a bill (HB-380—the "Condoms for Kiddies" bill).
In hour 1, Chris talks about a maryland proposal to allow schools to sell Condoms in Vending Macines, from High Schools to Nursery schools! What?
