Dallas Cowboys news focuses on the Cowboys extending Randy Gregory, restructuring Zack Martin’s contract and a breakdown of the Cowboys’ unofficial 2020 depth chart. The Cowboys put out their 2020 depth chart yesterday and there are some interesting “starters” and “backups” to discuss with Cowboys Report host Tom Downey. Earl Thomas signing is not the goal of the Zack Martin extension. Yes it frees up roughly $8 million, but that’s designed to help the Cowboys afford Dak Prescott and others in a lower cap year next season. They can still sign Thomas if they want, but this move isn’t a precursor for that. The Cowboys Depth Chart is often the subject of Cowboys rumors, especially with uncertainty around the Cowboys’ scheme (looking at you, defense). And there are some notable items to glean from the Cowboys first unofficial depth chart. Trevon Diggs is listed as a starter, while Chidobe awuzie is not. The same is true for starting “DPR” Aldon Smith and backup Everson Griffen. Trysten Hill is also starting along with other notable players like Darian Thompson and Cam Erving. Cowboys Report host Tom Downey also thinks something is off on special teams, so make sure you watch until the end. The Cowboys offensive depth chart and Cowboys defensive depth chart are mostly good. Randy Gregory has been reinstated and although the Cowboys won’t have him for the first part of the season, they have locked him up for 2021. The Cowboys gave Gregory a 1-year extension worth up to $2.1 MM and a little signing bonus as well. The Cowboys Report is the most-watched Cowboys YouTube channel and it’s free! Cowboys Rumors continue around Earl Thomas but that’s not the only topics out there around the Dallas Cowboys. Could Darian Thompson and Connor Williams both start this year? Is it time to panic about La’el Collins? There’s also Cowboys news on fans being allowed at games this year. Dallas Cowboys fans will be allowed at games, or at least that’s the plan right now for the State of Texas. But if you plan on going, you MUST wear a mask. So get a Cowboys one today: http://chatsports.com/Cowboysmask/ Cowboys training camp updates include some notes on who might earn a starting role. Connor Williams remains the favorite to start at left guard, which was expected. But, Darian Thompson might just be the safety starter opposite Xavier Woods. Apparently, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix has not had a great camp thus far. The Cowboys are also experimenting with Daryl Worley and Reggie Robinson getting reps at safety. The Earl Thomas to the Cowboys rumors just won’t go away. But should they? Does it make sense for the Cowboys to even pursue Thomas in light of his off-field troubles? Here are the Cowboys Rumors on today’s show: - Fans at Cowboys Games? - Darian Thompson Starting? - Connor Williams Starting? - Worry About La’el Collins? - Should Sign Earl Thomas? - Moving CB Daryl Worley And/Or Reggie Robinson To Safety?
