A gallon of gas costs about twice as much in California as it does pretty much anywhere else in the United States. The reason why, of course, is that California makes it cost about twice as much – by reducing supply and by adding costs, chiefly for “environmental” reasons. This includes a new requirement – going into effect very soon (Dec. 31) that all gas stations must either replace single-walled underground storage tanks or permanently close them – no matter whether the tanks are actually leaking and no matter how much it costs to replace them. It is estimated that about 473 gas stations in California are going to close – because the owners cannot afford the mandatory underground storage tank upgrade costs or the $5,000 per day fines for non-compliance. A 2025 systematic review published in the journal Nutrients analyzed the role of folate supplementation in managing peripheral neuropathy (PN). The review synthesized data from 12 studies, which included a total of 3015 patients. The findings demonstrated "promising symptomatic benefits". This included pain reductions reaching 3 points , symptom resolution rates as high as 87.5% , and improvements in Neuropathy Total Symptom Score (NTSS-6) scores ranging from 0.9 to 1.5 points.Beyond symptoms, the review also highlighted objective structural improvements, such as increases in epidermal nerve fiber density (ENFD) that reached 97% in one case. Furthermore, folate supplementation was found to significantly decrease levels of homocysteine and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP). Un relato oscuro, denso y pegajoso que en su día ya dio qué hablar... pero ahora vuelve con una nueva vida y una intro especial grabada desde el mismísimo corazón de Orión. Si ya lo escuchaste, puede que no recuerdes todos los detalles. Si no lo conoces, prepárate para un buen rato de terror del que se te mete bajo la piel. 🎙️ Dale al play, que la camada... nunca duerme.🕯 Y cuéntame qué te ha parecido. Ramsey Campbell, considerado uno de los grandes maestros del terror contemporáneo. Sus primeras historias, aunque situadas en lugares hipotéticos de Gran Bretaña (a instancias de su editor) y no en Estados Unidos, eran claramente lovecraftianas; según algunos críticos esta influencia está presente hasta su colección de relatos Demons by delight (1973), donde quedaría superada. Entre sus novelas realistas cabe destacar: The face that must die (El rostro que debía morir, 1983); The count of eleven (La cuenta de once, 1991) y The one safe place (El único lugar seguro, 1995). Founded in Chula Vista, indie/alt trio Los Saints features all first-generation Mexican-Americans, including frontman Angel Mariscal, guitarist Gianluca Exposito, and drummer Emiliano Garcia. Los Saints is a fairly new operation. They released an EP, Welcome To Confusion, in 2022, and have now moved on to the long form. Their music is a melancholy sort of alt pop rock that tends to undulate.The band's debut full-length Certified is due July 26, 2024 via ENCI Records, preceded so far by a single and video for "Faded" as well as singles for "Never Said," "If Everything Goes," and "Doctor."
