What we if women treated our bodies like a gift instead of a problem to fix? And men you'll want to listen up if you have ever been asked by a woman, do I look fat? You'll get the right answer in this episode! After swim practice, we sit down with Stephanie Havelka, a true water woman whose life in sport spans competitive swimming, Kona Ironman, outrigger canoe racing around the globe, surf ski, and even Olympic Trials kayaking. She also happens to be the founder of Sportkini, a swimwear brand built for athletic women who actually move. She's also a  #1 ranked US Masters swimmer. We talk about how a “champion mindset” transfers from one sport to the next: being coachable, staying curious, and using training as a tool for confidence. Stephanie shares the behind-the-scenes story of how Sport Kini started with sketches at 14, then took shape after a chance meeting with a top Australian swimsuit designer who taught her how to build suits that stay put, feel good, and hold up to chlorine, salt water and real adventure. If you've ever searched for athletic swimwear, sport bikinis, or a two piece swimsuit you can truly swim in, you'll hear exactly what “function first” looks like. Then we go deeper into body confidence. Stretch marks, scars, changes, and the constant background noise of “should” do not get the final say. Stephanie lays out a simple, brave approach: wear what you want, try it a little at a time if you're nervous, and get your mind off the suit so you can get back to the sport you love. She also shares how she lost 52 pounds by lowering stress and addressing an autoimmune flare cycle, and how that shift helped her return to training and post the #1 US time in the 55–59 SCM 100 free while still seeing big room to improve. If you know a masters swimmer, triathlete, paddler, or any active woman who needs a boost, share this conversation with them. Subscribe to Champions Mojo, leave a review on Apple Podcasts, and tell us what you're learning to embrace in your own body.• Stephanie's path from competitive swimming to Kona Ironman, outrigger canoe racing, surf ski and Olympic Trials kayaking • Using a sport mindset to learn new skills, accept coaching and push through setbacks • The long origin story of Sport Kini, from teen sketches to an Australia mentor to selling 700 suits solo • Why athletic women need swimwear built for movement, real sizing and durable construction • Body confidence as a practice, letting go of shame and wearing what you want • Losing 52 pounds by lowering stress, addressing autoimmune flare-ups and making swimming fun again • Current masters swim training, plus focusing on starts, turns and future meet goals https://sportkini.com/https://www.instagram.com/sportkini/Would you consider leaving us a five star review on Apple? Galway Bay FM's Sport Team has teamed up with Golfstyle Sports to bring golf fans across Galway an exciting chance to win a top-of-the-line prize just in time for the US Masters. To celebrate one of the biggest events in the golfing calendar, you could win a brand new Taylor Made Driver worth €600 — the same cutting-edge driver trusted by Masters champion Rory McIlroy. The Golfstyle US Masters Golf Challenge is simple, fun, and perfect for both casual fans and serious golf followers. All you have to do is pick one golfer from each group and follow their performance across the 72-hole tournament. The player selections with the best combined score at the end of the competition will take home our prize. There's a twist to keep things competitive: if any of your selected golfers miss the cut, a +8 score will be added. In the event of a tie, results will be decided by comparing the best score from Group One, then Group Two, and so on — so every pick matters. Entering couldn't be easier. Send your selections via text or WhatsApp to 086 2626958, including the word Golfstyle and your name - and the all important selection of 4 golfers. Alternatively, you can email your entry to sport@galwaybayfm.ie, making sure to mark your subject line Golfstyle. Whether you're backing the favourites or picking a few dark horses, this is your chance to get involved in the Masters excitement and win a fantastic prize. Declan Cunningham of Golfstyle spoke to Ollie Turner who started by asking, can Rory do it again?

Augusta National doesn't just test technique; it exposes temperament, patience, and the ability to think clearly when everything matters most. In this episode of The Golfing Mind, we look ahead to the 2026 Masters through a different lens—the six inches between the ears. What separates those who contend on Sunday from those who fade? Why do some players rise to the occasion on these iconic greens, while others are undone by the moment? We'll explore the unique psychological demands of Augusta: the necessity of emotional control, the discipline to stay present, and the courage to trust your game under immense scrutiny. We'll also identify the players most mentally equipped to handle the challenge, and what their approach can teach every golfer listening. Learn more about your ad choices. On today's show, we have a solo run touching on a subject, very dear to my heart, the concept of ‘I will be happy when'   How we all fall into the trap of putting off our enjoyment of life for for some perceived moment off in the future, when the stars will align everything will come together, and I will be happy ever after as a result of achieving X Y or Z.   You can fill in the blanks that may be winning a major tournament. It may be winning the club championship or breaking 100 for the first time never mind creates the stories of perceived happiness off in the future, and it can be so destructive to her actual enjoyment of the game right now. Not only destructive. It actually creates a lot of tension in the system in extreme cases real fear and anxiety. Even the great Rory McIlroy seems to have fallen into the trap of this after winning the US Masters, and seemingly afterwards falling into some kind of malaise and unhappiness.   He is human like the rest of us within this, but I feel there is a way out of this by really understanding the value of seen through the illusion and then falling in love with the idea of being on the path to mastery. Karl shares some key insights. This is an episode we recorded in 2020 with long time Sky Sports Golf lead presenter, David Livingstone from Glasgow which we thought is well worth a revisit.  We will be back to our normal pod next week with a review of the 2024 golfing season.   This is the story of a humble Glasgow lad, who rose from reporting news in the local rag to sitting alongside Jack Nicklaus while presenting the US Masters live from Augusta National. David admits to stumbling into TV and golf after joining Sky Sports in its infancy.  He presented 12 Ryder Cups, umpteen major championships and travelled the world following the best players in the game for over 25 years. He has worked alongside some amazing people including Tony Jacklin and Jack Nicklaus as well as interviewing everyone from Arnold Palmer to Rory McIlroy. He talked about his relationships with Seve and Tiger Woods and tells some great stories of his best pal, Butch Harmon. He gave an insight into what is involved in broadcasting a golf tournament and how things have changed over the years. In a very honest chat, David also talks about his thoughts on Augusta, Earl Woods and even the BBC. Unassuming, professional, great fun but most of all a gentleman.
