The Seahawks Super Bowl Championship parade was a success. Estimates say 1 million people attended and there were no issues along the 2 mile parade route. What a celebration it was for the fans and the players, a lot of whom couldn't stay on the buses and had to get out to mingle with fans along the route. :30- What's Going On In Other Sports: Part Deux. - What's going on with so many hamate bone injuries? - What's going on with tanking in the NBA? - What's going on with Jake and Jutta? :45- Jessamyn caught up with all the key players immediately after the Seahawks Super Bowl win and today we hear from the GM, John Schneider. - It's Parade Day! The Seahawks Super Bowl rally and parade are taking place this morning and people are already starting to arrive downtown to get ready for the celebration. Let the conversations about the Seahawks future begin as the questions about contracts will get underway soon as will the conversations about how hard it is to get back to the Super Bowl. Is this team better prepared than most to do just that? :30- Sam Darnold got the job done. A recap of the Super Bowl. What were the best commercials and did you watch Bad Bunny at halftime? DeMarcus Lawrence finally got his Super Bowl ring after leaving the Cowboys.
In this episode of JacquesTalk we discuss the Seahawks' 29-13 win over New England. We talked about the Seahawks' defense and Drake Maye's struggles. We discuss how far the Cowboys are from winning a title and Bad Bunny's halftime show.
The Seattle Seahawks enter Super Bowl Sunday as heavy favorites against the New England Patriots, and the confidence level among the 12s is high. The Patriots path to victory appears razor-thin, relying heavily on Drake Maye's mobility, hopes for multiple Seattle turnovers, and the chance that Jaxon Smith-Njigba can somehow be stopped by this New England defense that has only faced two of the league's best wideouts this season. The Pats offensive line faces a nightmare matchup against Seattle's defensive front led by Leo Williams and DeMarcus Lawrence. The Patriots postseason run—featuring wins over injury-depleted teams and bottom-tier offensive lines—pales in comparison to Seattle's gauntlet through the NFC West. Nick Emmanwori sustained an ankle injury this week, which does provide some concern for the defense. But we've seen how capable the depth of this defense was in dealing with Emmanwori's absense earlier in the season as well as the injury to Julian Love. Mike Macdonald should be able to plan around any limitations by the rookie defender. In an episode earlier this week, we enjoyed a guest with thoughful football analysis. In this show, we're getting into 'Know Your Rival' mode with one of the Patriots bitter rivals. Dolphins fan Sam Marcoux is back on the show to talk about everything we need to know about the Pats and their entitled fanbase. Offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak's impending departure to the Raiders has loomed over the leadup to this game. What potential impact could it actually have in this matchup? The NFL Honors ceremony was happening as we recorded and Jaxon Smith-Njigba was the only one to be awarded one of the top honors -- offensive player of the year. We discuss some of the wildest narratives and idiotic lines of questions in the Do Better Segment. Better at life honors go out to a group of monks and their walk for peace as well as the NFL for sending our NFC West rivals into a dangerous country to start the 2026 season. Headlines and 12th Man News with GREGG BELL (Tacoma News Tribune) Yes, it's Super Bowl week and we are all down in the Bay Area, but there's some big business that's underway in Seattle as it was announced over the weekend that the Seahawks will be sold following the Super Bowl. Are there any rumors floating around as to who might be interested in buying the team? Is Kubiak to the Raiders a done deal? The Seahawks have landed and are “loose and focused.” How surprised is MacDonald about the “we did not care” phenomenon? :30- A Mariners fan favorite is gone… again. Geno Suarez inked a 1-year, $15-million deal with the Cincinnati reds over the weekend, dashing any hopes of a continued reunion here in Seattle. Are the Mariners still focused on Brendan Donovan? The Seattle Seahawks are heading to the Super Bowl after a 31-27 victory over the Los Angeles Rams at Lumen Field. Sam Darnold came up big when it mattered most, connecting with Jaxon Smith-Njigba for touchdown before halftime after taking a crushing hit. Kenneth Walker III punched in the opening score, and the offense executed a masterful five-minute drive that helped close out the game. The defense came up big on a critical fourth-and-four stop, with Julian Love and DeMarcus Lawrence dropping into coverage to stuff the Rams attempt—a play Sean McVay dismissed as "luck" in his post-game comments. Riq Woolen's costly taunting penalty on third down helped give the Rams an opening, leading to an immediate Puka Nacua touchdown. Cooper Kupp proved instrumental in the Seahawks' success, making key third-down conversions against his former team after the Rams organization reportedly urged other teams to lowball him in free agency (which we later cover in the Do Better segment). In the second half of the show, we look ahead to Super Bowl matchup against the New England Patriots. The Seahawks face a Drake Maye-led offense that excels under pressure but lacks some of the firepower of previous opponents. The franchise has a chance to exorcise demons from Super Bowl XLIX and claim the Lombardi Trophy on the 49ers' home turf in Santa Clara, completing one of the most unexpected and satisfying seasons in recent memory. From the first play kick return touchdown by Rashid Shaheed to the relentless dominance by the Seahawks' defense, every moment of this game showcased why Seattle is a Super Bowl contender. Bob and Dave break down how impactful the matchup of Mike Macdoanld and Kyle Shanahan will be on the Seahawks Divisional Round rematch against the 49ers, they look at the effect DeMarcus Lawrence has had on the defense this season, they discuss whether the trash talk between these teams can bring the hate back to this rivalry, and they break down why Nico Hoerner could become a priority for the Mariners this offseason.
Demarcus Lawrence should be ok, despite being limited in practice today. The Seahawks are 'managing' the Achilles issues he's been dealing with. Ian is fascinated by Dante Moore's decision to return to Oregon and says he made the right football choice. Is there a better model for the NFL to follow, say, perhaps as junior hockey sets up? Mike Holmgren shares his memories of the week leading up to a playoff game and the level of excitement that comes with it. Coach also discusses the coaching changes across the league and the 'why' behind the timing of several of them. Sometimes it's just time for a change. Is there any downside to a bye week in the playoffs? How much will the playcalling change for Shanahan without George Kittle? Coach thinks the Seahawks will win the Super Bowl and Sam Darnold deserves a ton of credit for what he's done this season. The team will play to his lead. RUNDOWN Mitch and Hotshot break down the massive Seahawks–49ers matchup, laying out the stark difference between winning the NFC's top seed versus entering the playoffs as a road-bound wild card. They debate San Francisco's battered defense, Seattle's dominant defense, and whether Sam Darnold can rediscover the early-season form that once put him in MVP conversations—especially after scoring just 18 total first-half points over the last four games. Mitch floats a classic emotional hedge: bet the 49ers money-line so a Seahawks win feels priceless and a loss at least comes with consolation cash. Mitch and Brady Henderson break down Seattle's 27–10 win over Carolina, praising another elite defensive performance while sounding alarms about the offense's habit of slow starts and turnovers, with just 18 first-half points over the last four games. They preview Saturday night's NFC West showdown in Santa Clara, weighing a battered 49ers defense against Brock Purdy's red-hot offense and debating which version of Sam Darnold shows up. The segment closes with Taco Time honors for DeMarcus Lawrence and Zach Charbonnet, as Seattle stands one win away from the NFC's No. 1 seed and a first-round bye. Rick Neuheisel joins Mitch for a wide-ranging College Football Playoff preview, diagnosing Clemson's 7–6 collapse as the moment NIL and the portal finally "happened" to Dabo Swinney, and reacting with surprise to Kyle Whittingham leaving Utah for Michigan as a potential cleanup hire. Neuheisel breaks down all four CFP games, backing Ohio State to survive Miami, Texas Tech to upset Oregon, Indiana to knock off Alabama, and Ole Miss to take down Georgia. He locks in Ole Miss plus the points as his official pick, staying hot at 8–6 against the spread while handing out Taco Time honors along the way. Did the Minnesota Vikings find a way to solve the NFL's Jaxon Smith-Njigba problem? Or were there a combination of factors that simply kept the ball from going JSN's way. We talk about some of the strategies Minnesota used -- from pressuring Sam to their use of linebacker and safety to send some extra attention toward the NFL's leading receiver. Ernest Jones earned NFL honors for his game on Saturday, but DeMarcus Lawrence should have been in consideration for two of the biggest plays of the game. The Atlanta Falcons are on deck for Seattle and may be the last "easy" game on the schedule. But should we ignore the fact they've either won or played their last four losses close? Bijan Robinson could pose a challenge for the Seahawks defense, but is there anyone else on the Falcons offense to be concerned with? Sam Darnold may have another week where he'll be challenged against the blitz, but we could also see more success on the ground than we saw against Minnesota. Seattle could continue to lean into the run game and protect the football. In the second half of the show, we take a look at aggregate power rankings for all NFL teams and the Seahawks find themselves in the top 5 across most of the rankings. We take a look at some of the other teams and which one could be best to challenge the Rams (apart from Seattle). The NFL Hall of Fame selection committee needs to do better and so does society (apparently). We've promised for years that when the Seahawks get a shutout, we're focusing only on the INs and passing up the OUTs. While this game certainly had its negatives, we fulfill a promise with Seattle's first shutout since 2015. Standout moments from Drake Thomas are among the highlights as he continues to shine on defense. Kenneth Walker III takes a soul and gets some highlight-worthy blocking. The team chemistry and defensive prowess were on full display, making this shutout win a significant one. Finally, we take a look at DeMarcus Lawrence's relentless hustle led to two incredible plays, including one that Coach Mike Macdonald deemed to be one of his all-time favorites. RUNDOWN Time for a post-Thanksgiving catch-up — from Hotshot's massive Bonnie Lake feast (and industrial-sized leftovers) to Mitch explaining why he avoids other people's stuffing, small talk, and social gatherings altogether. The guys 'roll' into a playful celebration of area code 360, spotlighting surprising celebrity ties: Sam Elliott's Clark College days, Hilary Swank's Bellingham childhood, The Rock's Vancouver roots, and of course Kurt Cobain — whose Aberdeen home, schools, and legacy still anchor the region. Mitch and Hotshot mourn Washington's deflating rivalry loss to Oregon, wondering what's happened to Damon Williams over the last few weeks and whether Jed Fisch's 8–4 season is real progress or just a tiny baby step. They pivot to the Seahawks' 26–0 shutout of a completely overmatched Vikings team led by one-and-done starter Max Broer, raising fresh concerns about Sam Darnold, a sputtering passing game, and what—if anything—you can actually learn from a win like that. Mitch then slips into full "Mr. Playoffs" mode, mapping out the Rams–Seahawks tiebreaker hell. Brady and Jacson join Mitch to break down Seattle's emphatic 26–0 shutout of Minnesota — the team's first since 2015 — powered by five takeaways, four sacks, and total defensive domination of an undrafted rookie QB. While the win keeps Seattle tied atop the NFC West, all three acknowledge the troubling offensive trend. The crew debates whether this defense — with Ernest Jones ascending, DeMarcus Lawrence wrecking pockets, Reek Woolen surging, and reinforcements like Julian Love near return — is good enough to carry a sputtering offense deep into January. Rick joins Mitch to dissect Washington's season-ending loss to Oregon — highlighting Damon Williams' late-year regression, disorganized reads, and off-timed footwork, while crediting Dante Moore for outplaying him in a game UW needed. They walk through the wild coaching carousel (Lane Kiffin to LSU? Will Ole Miss even let him coach the playoff?) and unravel the tangled playoff math: whether the Ohio State–Indiana loser still deserves a bye, how an Alabama loss would knock them out, and why Texas Tech's "purchased darlings" have a real shot to win it all. Max Brosmer never stood a chance. The Seattle Seahawks dominated in a 26-0 shutout victory over the Minnesota Vikings. We dive into the incredible defensive performance, highlighting standout plays from DeMarcus Lawrence, Ernest Jones, and a defensive line that overwhelmed Minnesota's offense. Offensively, the Seahawks did enough to complement the defense, with Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet grinding out yards against an aggressive Vikings front. While not impressive, Sam Darnold put together the kind of performance we wished we could have seen against the Rams a couple weeks ago. The Seahawks close out November tied at the top of the division with Los Angeles as their re-match looms on the horizon.
Bump and Stacy discuss what caught their eye from the Seahawks week thirteen shutout win over the Vikings, they give you their thoughts on Lane Kiffin leaving #7 Ole Miss for LSU ahead of the college football playoffs in Headline Rewrites, they bring you the biggest stories around the NFL, including why Aaron Rodgers is blaming everyone else for the Steelers’ offensive woes, and they break down why DeMarcus Lawrence the most underrated free agent signing of this season.
The Seahawks get the shutout! The Seahawks defense absolutely dominated the Vikings and thank goodness they did, because offensively this team struggled. Darnold was sacked 4 times and the offense only managed one touchdown, relying on field goals and the defense to get the job done against Minnesota, so while there were a lot of positives to takeaway from the W, there are some concerns as well. :30- Grab your Thanksgiving leftovers and let's enjoy a cold turkey sandwich together while we check out the NFL board of scores! RUNDOWN Mitch solves last week's "mafia lookalike" mystery — listeners decide he's a dead ringer for The Sopranos' Michael Imperioli. The guys riff through Goodfellas lore, Seahawks' second straight blowout win, and Von Miller's hilarious regret about choosing Washington over Seattle ("it's like turning down a girl who became a movie star"). Heartfelt condolences to the family of Lenny Wilkens, celebrating the Hall of Famer's legacy as both player and coach — and his decades as the Pacific Northwest's ultimate basketball statesman. Then it's back to football as the guys revel in another stress-free Seahawks blowout, highlighted by two identical sack-fumble touchdowns from Tyrese Knight and DeMarcus Lawrence. Mitch welcomes back Brady Henderson and Jacson Bevens for another Seahawks No-Table after a 44-22 dismantling of the Cardinals. The crew marvels at a team that suddenly looks like a legitimate Super Bowl contender, while debating the sloppy second half and the emerging run-game breakthrough. They dig into injury updates on Ernest Jones, and Jarran Reed, the trade for Rashid Shaheed, and the defense's uncanny "next-man-up" magic under Mike Macdonald. Mitch reconnects with Rick Neuheisel, presented by Taco Time Northwest, to unpack a wild week in college football — starting with Washington's shocking collapse in Madison. Rick calls it a "disaster," offers perspective on Jed Fisch's road woes, and shares how leadership, not logistics, separates winners from whiners. From there, the conversation races across the national landscape: Penn State's heartbreak at Happy Valley, Texas Tech's oil-fueled rise, and which Group of Five team might crash the playoff. Then Neuheisel dives into Lincoln Riley's number-swap trickery — calling it "legal but unethical" — before handing out Taco Time honors. Mitch reconvenes the Seattle Kraken No-Table with RJ Eskanos and Dylan Travers of Emerald City Hockey for the team's first check-in of the season. Despite a solid early record and a near-top Pacific Division standing, the panel wonders how sustainable it really is. RJ notes that the offense remains among the league's weakest, while Dylan credits new head coach Lane Lambert for installing a defense-first system that maximizes effort and structure. The Seahawks dominated the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday on their way to a 44-22 victory. Seattle put up 31 points in the first half, and despite giving the Cardinals multiple short fields off of turnovers -- they were still able to run away with it. Tyrice Knight and DeMarcus Lawrence paired up for a couple of defensive sack fumble touchdowns. Nick Emmanwori and Tariq Woolen paired up for multiple pass breakups. Leo Williams and the rest of the gang had their way with a tepid Cardinals team! The Seahawks move to 7-2 on the season and will spend the week gearing up for a big time matchup with the Los Angeles Rams. Seahawks Broadcaster Bryan Walters joins the show to talk about the Seahawks game this Sunday vs the Cardinals. He breaks down which QB he would want to face between Kyler Murray and Jacoby Brissett. Bryan also tells us how he feels about the Seahawks pickup of Rashid Shaheed. // The Seahawks traded for Rashid Shaheed at the NFL trade deadline, Wyman & Bob go through the best trade deadline acquisitions in Seahawks history. // Price Harry had to apologize to the entire country of Canada, Sean Payton had cut a reporter off mid question, and Demarcus Lawrence apparently likes when it gets dark early. We have some interesting submissions for WYMAN of the week!
Brock stirred up a question to Salk last night about the idea of the Seahawks trading for Myles Garrett, so they talk through it (and Salk doesn't love the answer). They also discuss just how real the Seahawks are now starting to feel and react to some national sound of people backing the Seahawks up. In Blue 88, Brock dives in on some Demarcus Lawrence comments on Mike Macdonald and the most outrageous Seahawks stat through eight games.
Bump and Stacy listen to the biggest highlights from the Seahawks’ blowout win over the Commanders, they answer your questions about the Seahawks defensive improvements in Four Down Territory, they hear how Sam Darnold’s prefect game was jinxed in The Timeline, and they break down what Mike Macdonald said about Leonard Williams and DeMarcus Lawrence’s amazing performances.
