Santos Inocentes de Ayer y HoyHoy es la Fiesta de los Santos Inocentes. Herodes creía que el Niño Jesús iba derrumbarle de su puesto. Por eso Herodes mató todos los niños en Belén menores de dos años. Sabemos que las matanzas de inocentes continúan hoy día: en Gaza, en Israel, en tantos lugares del mundo. Nació Jesús por amor de todos. Pero nación Jesús de forma particular por los pobres, los inocentes, los oprimidos, olvidados y maltratados en todas partes del mundo de ayer y del mundo do hoy. Mateo dice esto hoy: : En Ramá se ha escuchado un grito, se oyen llantos y lamentos: es Raquel que llora por sus hijos y no quiere que la consuelen, porque ya están muertos.Rama es un pueblo donde se enterró Raquel. Raquel, sabemos fue la esposa de Jacó que fue el nieto de Abrahán.  Recordamos que Dios cambió el nombre de Jacó a ser Israel.  Raquel, al igual que Jacó o Israel, su esposo fue de la tribu de Efraín…Es el profeta Jeremías que nos habla de los gritos, los lamentos y los gemidos de Raquel. Porque sabemos que los hijos de Jacó, Israel y Raquel llegaron a ser esclavos en Egipto por cuatrocientos años. Aún después de escapar de Egipto y llegar a su Tierra Prometida fueron conquistados y esclavizados en dos ocasiones después. Sabemos todos sobre el horrible holocausto donde durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial 6 millones del pueblo de Israel fueron matados por los Nazis.  Hoy día los gritos, lamentos y gemidos de Raquel representan los mismos de mujeres y hombres de todos los países del mundo donde sigue siendo tráfico de menores, de niños, de mujeres y hombres. Hoy es muy importante a que oremos por los líderes del mundo que no se preocupan por los pobres y vulnerables. Hoy día también es importante que oremos y que apoyemos los esfuerzos de los que luchan a favor de los indefensos, sean ya nacidos y no nacidos.  En estos días de Navidad recibimos muchos mensajes pidiendo dinero y apoyo para grupos de hacen obras a favor de los santos inocentes de hoy.
