This week, I'm absolutely delighted to welcome back one of my favourite guests, the brilliant Emmanuel Sonubi, for his THIRD appearance on The New Mind Podcast.Emmanuel is one of the most exciting comedians in the world right now. A stand up comedian, writer & storyteller whose honesty, intelligence, warmth, & razor sharp humour have earned him a devoted following across the globe. Having toured the UK, Australia, & New Zealand with his hugely successful Life After Near Death tour, he's now taking the show across Europe, continuing to captivate audiences wherever he goes!!Every time Emmanuel joins me, I know we're going to laugh, but what continually surprises me is just how much depth sits beneath the comedy. Whilst he's undoubtedly one of the funniest people you'll ever listen to, he's also one of the most thoughtful, insightful, & emotionally intelligent people I've had the pleasure of knowing.Following a near death experience that profoundly changed his perspective on life, Emmanuel brings a wisdom, humanity, & authenticity that makes every conversation with him unforgettable. He has a remarkable ability to find meaning in life's most difficult moments, transforming adversity into something that not only inspires others but encourages us to look at ourselves a little differently too.In this episode, we explore life, death, resilience, purpose, fear, gratitude, success, connection, & what it truly means to be alive. It's a conversation filled with laughter, honesty, vulnerability, perspective, & those rare moments that make you stop for a second & reflect on the things that really matter.Emmanuel possesses an extraordinary gift. He can have you crying with laughter one moment & quietly contemplating life's biggest questions the next, often without you even realising the shift has happened. This isn't simply a conversation with a comedian. It's a conversation with someone who's walked through one of life's most profound experiences & returned with a deeper appreciation for living, loving, laughing, & making the most of the time we're given.I adore this man, I always leave our conversations feeling inspired, & I genuinely think this might be our best episode yet.I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed recording it.Subscribe to The New Mind podcast for more uplifting and insightful conversations that explore the depths of mental health, personal growth, and inspiring stories of individuals making a difference in the world.Thank youConnect with me: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ellamccrystal Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ellamccrystalhypno TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@ella_mccrystalWeb: https://www.ellamccrystal.comYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@EllaMcCrystalConnect with Emmanuel: YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCRT33jjj79jsigfwn9dS3rAInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/emmanuelstandup/?hl=enTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@emmanuelstandupWebsite - Tour Tickets: https://www.emmanuelstandup.com

If the word ‘death' makes your chest tighten, or if you've spent months body scanning and wondering ‘what if this is it,' what if I told you that death isn't the scary, painful monster we've been taught to fear?In today's episode, I am having a conversation that is not meant to scare you. In fact, it's meant to do the exact opposite. For some who are struggling with health anxiety, panic disorder, or agoraphobia, the fear of death is the "silent engine" running in the background. It's the intrusive thought that stops you in our tracks and the reason you feel the need to control every sensation in our bodies.I am joined by the incredible Julie McFadden, a hospice nurse and New York Times bestselling author known to millions as Hospice Nurse Julie. Julie has spent years at the bedside of the dying, and she brings a perspective that is grounded, compassionate, and believe it or not, deeply comforting. We aren't here to be morbid; we are here to take the "grip" out of the fear so you can start living your life again.HERE'S WHAT TO SAY TO YOUR BRAIN WHEN YOU'RE SPIRALING: https://ahealthypush.myflodesk.com/calmpanicTAKE MY FREE QUIZ AND FIND OUT WHAT'S CAUSING YOU TO STAY STUCK: https://www.ahealthypush.com/blocking-quizA HEALTHY PUSH INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/ahealthypush/GET THIS EPISODE'S SHOW NOTES: https://www.ahealthypush.com/post/what-about-death

Medical intuitive and psychic medium Julie Ryan has spent 30 years connecting with spirits and watching thousands of people transition. Her message will shock you: everyone goes to heaven—even people you think don't deserve it. Your deceased loved ones are around you right now, and you can actually communicate with them. Julie breaks down the 12 phases every soul goes through when dying, reveals why there are no "evil spirits," and shows you how to tap into your own intuitive abilities that you've had since childhood. Whether you're grieving, afraid of death, or curious about the afterlife, this conversation offers profound comfort and a radically different perspective on what happens when we die. In this episode, you'll learn: • The 12 phases of transition: exactly what happens when someone dies, from spirit leaving the body through angelic escort to heaven—validated by 5th-century prayers and modern physics • Why everyone goes to heaven: no exceptions, no judgment—all spirits are pure love, and the "bad" personality traits stay with the body when we die • How to communicate with deceased loved ones: your head is like a satellite dish—think of them and they respond instantly with the first thought that comes to mind • The truth about "evil spirits": they don't exist—what people think are demons are actually lost souls looking for loved ones, often reincarnated family members • Why children see ghosts until age 6-7: we're all born intuitive, but adults teach kids to shut it down by saying "it's just imagination" • The emotional roots of cancer: people who are great at giving but terrible at receiving—illness forces them to accept care they've always refused • How to distinguish real spirit communication from your own thoughts: if it feels neutral or good, it's them; if it feels bad, rephrase your question • Your innate healing abilities: everyone can heal themselves energetically—Julie teaches people to see inside bodies and connect with spirits in just one weekend • Why near-death experiences differ from actual death: NDEs are like spiritual snapshots, while real transition involves specific angelic assistance and deceased family greeting you Timestamps: 0:00 - Introduction 1:57 - Rapid Fire Questions 8:05 - From Medical Device Inventor to Psychic Medium 14:07 - Why Children See Spirits (And Adults Lose This Ability) 18:01 - How to Connect with Deceased Loved Ones Through Dreams 22:08 - First Experience Seeing Inside Human Bodies as Medical Intuitive 29:08 - The Truth About Ghosts vs Evil Spirits 35:33 - Pope Clement's Message: Teaching the World About Death 44:39 - The 12 Phases of Death Transition Explained 59:02 - Live Reading: Connecting with Christian's Deceased Mother 1:05:55 - Cancer's Emotional Root: The Inability to Receive 1:13:16 - Upcoming Training & Resources for Developing Psychic Abilities
In “What If Death Isn't the End”, Pastor David explores the powerful truth of resurrection as revealed in 1 Corinthians 15. With clarity and compassion, he unpacks the apostle Paul's teaching on the hope believers have beyond the grave. This sermon reminds us that death is not the end, but a doorway to eternal life through Jesus Christ. Pastor David encourages listeners to live with confidence and purpose, anchored in the promise of the resurrection and the victory we have in Christ. Whether you're wrestling with questions of mortality or seeking assurance in your faith, this message offers hope, comfort, and a renewed perspective on what awaits us after this life.
In this powerful message, Pastor Larry challenges us to confront the reality of death to truly appreciate the miracle of resurrection. The sermon takes us on a journey through our own mortality, asking us to imagine our own funerals. This stark imagery isn't meant to depress us, but to awaken us to the profound hope we have in Christ. The key scripture, 1 Corinthians 15, reminds us that Christ's resurrection is the cornerstone of our faith and the promise of our own future resurrection. This passage beautifully illustrates how Jesus, as the 'firstfruits,' paves the way for our own victory over death. The sermon draws an interesting parallel between sleep and death, emphasizing that for believers, death is merely temporary - like falling asleep and waking up in eternity. This perspective transforms our understanding of loss and grief, filling us with hope and courage in the face of life's greatest challenge. As we reflect on this message, we're invited to examine our own faith and to live in light of the resurrection, allowing this truth to shape our daily lives and eternal perspective. The Gathering Church is located in Midland, Texas. You can watch our live worship experience online at mygathering.liveVisit our website at https://www.mygathering.churchConnect with us on Social Mediahttps://facebook.com/mgatheringhttps://Instagram.com/mygatheringhttps://Twitter.com/mygatheringGOD | COMMUNITY | PURPOSE

Just as surgeons once believed pain was good for their patients, some argue today that death brings meaning to life. But given humans rarely live beyond a century (while certain whales can thrive for over two hundred years) it's hard not to see our biological limits as profoundly unfair. No wonder then that most people nearing death wish they still had more time. Yet, with ever-advancing science, will the ends of our lives always loom so close? Ariel Zeleznikow-Johnston is a neuroscientist at Monash University, Australia, where he investigates methods for characterizing the nature of conscious experiences. His research interests range from the decline, preservation and rescue of cognitive function at different stages of the lifespan.
In this episode, I dive into Ayah 29 of Surah An-Najm and reflect on how reminders of the Deen can help ease our fear of death. I talk about how the way we live our lives – our actions, beliefs, and connection to Allah – really shapes how we feel about death. living with purpose and faith can change the way we think about life and death.
