CHUKAS - BALAKAnger ManagementThe Torah portion deals with two central themes: the sin of "Water of Complaint" and the Red Heifer. The central message is that anger reflects a lack of faith, one who truly believes in Divine Providence does not lose control, knowing that everything is guided from Above toward a good purpose. Moses's sin, according to Maimonides, was anger itself, while the Maharal teaches that anger and lack of faith are essentially one and the same thing. The portion of the Red Heifer appears before the deaths of Miriam and Aaron as a comforting introduction, teaching that the deaths of the righteous bring atonement and that life continues in a different form, just as the heifer's ashes mix with living waters.
In this week's episode Rabbi Kohn discusses the plague of serpents that afflicted the Jewish people in the desert. What caused it to occur and how they where healed. In Parshas Chukas, we read about a highly unusual mitzvah: The Red Heifer, when an entirely red cow is burned together with a motley concoction of ingredients, and the resultant ashes are used to sprinkle on people that came into contact with dead people in order to purify them from their spiritual contamination. We also learn about the passing of Miriam and Aaron, and the multiple battles that the nation participated in on the Eastern bank of the Jordan, and we puzzle over the sin that condemned Moses and Aaron to die before entering the Land. Parshas Balak begins after the Jewish nation trounced the mighty kingdoms of Sichon and Og, the comparatively smaller and weaker kingdom of Moab resorted to unconventional warfare to attack the nation by hiring the prophet of the nations, a wily and devious character named Bilaam, to curse the Jews. It did not work out as planned.– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –DONATE: Please consider supporting the podcasts by making a donation to help fund our Jewish outreach and educational efforts at https://www.torchweb.org/support.php. In this era of AI, humans are inundated with information, and the answer to any question is just a click away. But yet the Torah portion of Chukat, with its inscrutable ordinance of the Red Heifer, conveys a different message: There are mysteries in this world; sacred secrets that we will never understand. Indeed, the secret of the Red Heifer seems to stand in diametric opposition to the very essence of AI…two concepts that are as far apart as is the very difference between 'information,' and true 'knowledge'. In this week's episode of the Jerusalem Lights podcast, Jim Long and Rabbi Chaim Richman reflect on the mystery of the Red Heifer, on the connection between knowledge and the heart, and on template of true leadership. _________Rabbi Chaim Richman Jerusalem Lights | Torah for Everyone Join our new WhatsApp channel! https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VbDN...Rabbi Chaim Richman's 'Jerusalem Lights', a non-profit educational organization, shares the wisdom of Torah teachings with all sincere spiritual seekers, emphasizing the ennoblement of the human spirit, the brotherhood of mankind, and the nurturing and development of each individual's personal faith and relationship with the Creator. The Eternal Power of Moshe's Red Heifer and Purification from DeathThis class explores why the red heifer is uniquely connected to Moshe Rabbeinu, both in its ritual and its inner meaning. It examines how Moshe's eternal qualities enable true purification from death and how this spiritual power continues in every Jew's service of G-d.
Moshe's Red Heifer
God always provides a cure before the plague arrives. In Parashat Ḥukat, there are instruments of healing and the sweetening of Judgments, such as the Red Heifer and the Copper Serpent, because Tammuz is the month of Judgments. How can the letter ח of the sign of Cancer be a symbol of the Gate - "The Gate for Sin" (Gen. 4:7) or a symbol of the sweetening of Judgments? What is a curse? - The result of disregarding the laws of the universe - "This is the law of the Torah." A growing number of believers today are passionate about the red heifer and the rebuilding of a third temple in Jerusalem. What does the Bible say about it? Does the Bible predict that another temple will be built? If so, when? More importantly, will God sanction the rebuilding of a new temple? Levi Hazen explores these questions and more from a biblical perspective.

In this explosive Nephilim Death Squad episode, David Lee Corbo (Raven / Top Lobster) and Matt welcome Stephen of The Biblical Hitmen for a deep dive into the Divine Feminine deception. They break down Ryan Bledsoe's “Lady” (also known as Ishtar, Hathor, Queen of Heaven) that has been appearing since 2012, counterfeiting the Holy Spirit, showing orbs, and delivering prophecies about an Israel-Iran war stopped by orbs, plus the Regulus-Sphinx alignment on April 6.Stephen connects everything with Scripture: Deuteronomy 13 false prophets (signs that come true but lead to other gods), Daniel 11's “God of forces” identified as the Divine Feminine spirit of fortification (Cybele/Rhea/Magna Mater/Shekinah), Jeremiah 44's Queen of Heaven drink offerings, and Revelation's Mother of Harlots riding the Beast. They expose the Wailing Wall “humping” ritual, Taurobolium bull-blood cleansing, red heifer parallels, Statue of Liberty as Lucifer/Divine Feminine, Baphomet torch connections, and how this same spirit links to the Tower of Babel, Gnostic unity, and male/female balance.Additional topics include unclean spirits like frogs (Revelation 16) tied to Heket/Kek/Pepe the Frog meme magic, Trump's MAGA hat as the Phrygian cap of Apollo/Mithras/Addis/Kalki, church hurt, 501c3 feminization, and why positivity without pointing to Christ is a Trojan horse.Guest: Stephen of The Biblical HitmenHosts: David Lee Corbo (Raven / Top Lobster) & MattSupport the show & get early/ad-free episodes + Brohemian Grove tickets:https://patreon.com/NephilimDeathSquadMerch & 3D prints: https://toplobster.comFollow Stephen – The Biblical Hitmen:• X (Twitter): https://twitter.com/BiblicalHitman• YouTube: Search “Biblical Hitmen” on YouTube• All audio platforms: Search “Biblical Hitmen” (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, etc.)Timestamps available in the full video.Drop your thoughts below — Is Ryan Bledsoe's “Lady” the same ancient spirit as Ishtar, Hathor, and Cybele?00:00 Intro & Welcome to Nephilim Death Squad – New Studio Setup & Sacrifices 03:15 Introducing Stephen of The Biblical Hitmen & Matthew's Return 07:40 Ryan Bledsoe's “Lady” Prophecy – Orbs, Israel-Iran War & Regulus-Sphinx Alignment (April 6) 12:20 Chris Bledsoe Abduction Story & The Lady Appearing Since 2012 16:50 Bledsoe as a Builder & Personal Builder Drama 21:30 Are Modern Prophets Still Valid? "This is the statute of the law that the LORD has commanded." The ritual of the red heifer is one of the most mysterious in all of Scripture. A perfect, unblemished cow is slaughtered and burned entirely, and its ashes mixed with water create a purification solution for those contaminated by death. In this chapter, we encounter the pervasive problem of death's defilement and the need for cleansing that only sacrifice can provide. The red heifer points to Christ, whose blood cleanses us from all sin. The Rev. John Lukomski, pastor emeritus and co-host of Wrestling with the Basics on KFUO Radio, joins the Rev. Dr. Phil Booe to study Numbers 19. The Book of Numbers is far more than an ancient census report. It is the story of a people learning to trust God in the wilderness, and failing, and finding grace anyway. In this series, host Pastor Phil Booe and guest pastors walk through the Old Testament book of Numbers chapter by chapter. We follow Israel from Sinai toward the Promised Land, through grumbling and rebellion, fiery serpents and a talking donkey, faithless spies and faithful priests. The journey is hard, the failures are many, and God remains faithful to a faithless people. These ancient accounts point us to Christ. The bronze serpent lifted on a pole points to the cross. The rock struck for water points to the one struck for us. The high priest whose death frees the manslayer points to the Great High Priest whose death sets us free forever. Join us as we discover that the wilderness has more to teach us than we ever expected. Thy Strong Word, hosted by Rev. Dr. Phil Booe, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church of Luverne, MN, reveals the light of our salvation in Christ through study of God's Word, breaking our darkness with His redeeming light. Each weekday, two pastors fix our eyes on Jesus by considering Holy Scripture, verse by verse, in order to be strengthened in the Word and be equipped to faithfully serve in our daily vocations. The Red Heifer is a purification ritual. Why is it in Bamidbar and not the book of Vayikra? And if it purifies, why does it induce impurity in all who come into contact with it?
Today Zach Williams talks about the red heifer, and how it relates to both end times prophecy in the cleansing of the temple, and the washing away of sin through Yeshua's atoning sacrifice.

To celebrate Passover in the Holy Temple, a red cow (heifer) was needed for the people's cleansing. The Mishna lists different elements of the mincha and other offerings that are essential. The Gemara delves into the derivations for each of these. Some elements are repeated Torah, and this repetition serves as an indicator that the act must be performed in that specific way. Others are deemed essential due to a specific formulation in the verse - a word that indicates a particular detail is necessary. The Gemara delves into two specific issues related to items on the list. One involves the four species of the lulav. A statement of Rav Chanan bar Rava is brought—that the essential element of the four species is that they be present, but they do not all need to be taken at once. A difficulty is raised against him from a braita that makes clear that the species need to be bound together. This is resolved by explaining that there are two different Tannaitic positions on this, based on whether or not the species are required to be bound. The second issue is the sprinkling of the blood of the Red Heifer, which must be performed while facing the Sanctuary. There are two contradictory braitot: one holds that if the blood is not sprinkled while facing the Sanctuary, it is disqualified, while another holds that it is not. Two resolutions are brought - either each source reflects a different Tannaitic position, or each is addressing a different situation.

This discussion features: Judah Thomas, David LaManna, Mike McHugh, James Gowell, and Tim Nicholson.Edited by: Tim NicholsonIn Week 8 we continue our study on Hebrews 4 through 6 and we encourage you to read along with us. In this episode, we talk through Hebrews storyline of forgiveness: the Old Testament sacrificial system, what sacrifices could (and couldn't) do, and why the Red Heifer matters in the conversation about cleansing. We also tackle the idea of purgatory, and how Hebrews reframes the conversation around sin, conscience, and access to God.And yes, we go there: the veil being torn, what it actually signaled, and why the Ark of the Covenant still captures our imagination (Indiana Jones included). Then we zoom out and go straight at a hard question: why are so many grown believers still spiritually malnourished? If you're “hungry” but living on milk, it's not because God isn't feeding or you're only going to church one hour a week...you might just be refusing to chew. We talk about stunted spiritual growth, the milk vs. meat tension in Hebrews, and the uncomfortable picture of a 40-year-old still drinking out of a baby bottle. The point isn't trivia, it's transformation: Jesus didn't come to keep you on spiritual baby food. He came to bring you into maturity, confidence, and a faith that can actually carry weight.Help us spread the word about Thriving in the Word—and thanks for being part of the family. Have a blessed day.More info: www.thrive.church Give: www.thrive.church/give/ Need prayer? prayer@thrive.churchThis is a presentation of Thrive.Church © All Rights Reserved

We're talking about how to handle and be cleansed after handling dead people and other unclean things. A new mishnah: When the bird is killed improperly in the context of sacrifices, it does not necessarily constitute a carcass, in terms of conveying impurity. Specifically, melikah vs. slaughtering. Note the question of maturity - including in terms of appearance - of the birds. The Gemara dives into how the phenomenon of melika makes the difference as far as the carcass of the bird is considered. Including an attempted parallel to the red heifer.
Send us a textWhen you look at what's happening in the world today—wars, division, moral confusion—it's hard not to wonder: Are we in the end times? In this compelling and timely episode, hosts Jared Haley and Mike Westerdal dive into the fascinating world of Biblical prophecy and what Scripture says about the signs of the end. Drawing from the Book of Revelation, the teachings of Jesus, and other prophetic passages, they explore how ancient words may connect to the realities of our modern world—from global politics and technology to cultural shifts that blur the line between good and evil. While opinions and interpretations vary, Jared and Mike's goal isn't to predict dates or feed fear—it's to encourage awareness, faith, and readiness. Through clear, relatable discussion, they unpack complex theological ideas like the “mark of the beast,” the rebuilding of the Jewish temple, and the symbolism of the red heifer in a way that's easy to follow and thought-provoking for believers and seekers alike. They also discuss how the Bible's references to wars, rumors of wars, moral decay, and the rise of global governance might resonate with today's headlines. Most importantly, this conversation reminds listeners that Jesus' message was never about fear, but about faithfulness, urgency, and hope. As Jared and Mike emphasize, no one knows the day or hour—but we are called to be ready. This episode challenges listeners to stay awake, stand firm, and live with purpose in uncertain times by following Christ boldly, sharing the Gospel, and living prepared for His return. Patrick opens the hour by wrestling with the classic question of free will versus God's foreknowledge, using vivid analogies to draw listeners in as he takes each caller seriously, whether discussing divine providence, Old Testament sacrifices tied to baptism, or the loneliness of grief after a long marriage. Throughout, Patrick blends practical spiritual advice with big-picture theology as he responds to listeners who long for clarity, comfort, or a pathway back to Catholicism. The conversations leap from the philosophy of human choice to reflections on church authority, family, and the longing for fellowship, all with his steady presence guiding the way. Patrick continues his conversation with Lucy. She asks, If God gave us free will, but there is a plan laid out for our lives, is that really free will?
