Whether these towering elements serve as stunning backdrops or pivotal plot points, they definitely leave a lasting impression. Later, we'll take a closer look at the thriller Fall, and the whimsical Dizzy Heights Hotel.Top 5 Tall Things in Movies:The Burj Khalifa in "Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol" (2011) - Tom Cruise's daring stunt on the world's tallest building not only serves as a thrilling sequence but also highlights the iconic structure's staggering height and architectural marvel. The Empire State Building in "King Kong" (1933 and 2005 versions) - This iconic skyscraper plays a crucial role in the climax of both films, as it becomes the final stand for the giant ape, symbolizing the intersection of man-made wonders and natural forces. The Wall in "Game of Thrones" (TV Series) - Stretching over 700 feet tall and made of ice, the Wall is one of the most formidable barriers in cinematic and television history, representing both a physical and psychological divide. The Dark Tower in "The Dark Tower" (2017) - As the nexus of the universe, the Tower's immense height and significance in the plot symbolize the monumental stakes involved in protecting or destroying it.The Titanic's Stern in "Titanic" (1997) - The dramatic scene of the Titanic's stern rising high into the air before sinking emphasizes the massive scale of the disaster, making it one of the most memorable tall elements in film history. In Fall, the height isn't just a background element; it's central to the film's tension and terror. The movie revolves around two friends trapped at the top of a 2,000 feet tall radio tower, making for a gripping survival story that uses the extreme height to amplify the psychological and physical stakes.Switching to a lighter note, Dizzy Heights Hotel takes us into a fantastical high-rise hotel where each floor hosts whimsical adventures and quirky characters. This animated treat not only entertains but also creatively uses its vertical setting to weave together various storylines and humorous escapades.Whether you have a head for heights or prefer to admire them from the safety of your seat, today's episode promises a thrilling exploration of some of cinema's tallest and most memorable elements. Join us as we climb to dizzying heights in film, discussing everything from architectural marvels to towering natural barriers.

Clinging to the side of a cliff with a broken ankle and worrying she might faint, climber Polly couldn't do anything but wait Polly had gone climbing at Anvil Point in Dorset with her husband. Both were experienced climbers and things were all good until Polly had an accident and fractured her ankle. In pain and with no phone signal, she recalls how her husband had to go and get help while she was dangling off the cliff, trying not to move and injure herself further. Polly, who's the Chief Executive of the charity Shelter, talks of the huge relief she felt on seeing the lifeboat. And of how heartened she was – as part of the charity sector herself – by the volunteer crew's bravery and selflessness. 200 Voices is produced by Adventurous Audio for the RNLI Interview by Hallmark Broadcast Media Soundtrack composed and performed by Jon Nicholls The RNLI is a charity celebrating 200 years of saving lives at sea - find out more at RNLI.org/200

good morning internet wow what a day it's actually Sunny for a change it's not pouring down um it was funny yesterday I couldn't actually record because of the rain it was so loud setting the windows in the studio so I had to postpone until the wee small hours well actually no it was it was Dusk and I got my single out a really good I'm going to give um a bit of a plug I think to to tunecore who do all my Distributing for all of my tracks and they are really fast but only if you don't make a mistake so if you have one little mistake in the title um for example you can't call something a generic name so quite often when I put the music therapy tapes up there's some issue somewhere you know because I've said music therapy in the title but sometimes they let me do it and other times they don't this is a problem with AI they're obviously sifting through things with AI but the good thing about AI doing you know these jobs is that when it's right it's really right and I uploaded last night about 11 o'clock or something and I woke up this morning and it's live on YouTube so and it's being distributed so I'm getting royalties as soon as anyone listens now that's really good look I don't get that many lessons on YouTube I haven't I haven't reached the Dizzy Heights of anybody giving a hoot about the music I create which is fine by me because the music I create I understand is weird I mean I really understand that I was exploring this time's more of a sort of spoken word feel but I I did adopt a sort of singing tune to the speaking you know I'm really experimental I like experimenting thing with things that's what I do all the time and I wanted to hear how that sounded like and how it felt to have that out in the open you never really understand your track until it's out there it's just an embryonic baby when it's in your studio once it's out you understand how it works on all your platforms you understand if people like it or not because they're not you're not getting likes although that's quite a narrow as a narrow test really you know uh it's all about the the platforms pushing what they want their people to hear and they want people to hear who whoever's paying the most in advertising and I don't do that so you know there's an inherent sort of difficulty in measuring your success by likes on social media it it's pretty Grim actually in terms of its correctness it's just wrong you know um but I do understand that I'm quite Niche and experimental music is very Niche and experimental Electronica is even more Niche you know so what did I do I did a poem a while ago and I was thinking about using my robot to do a wrap but it didn't really sound good enough it didn't sound good in any of the voices so I just kept my own but I'd done some may West um ringtones you can find those actually if you search the ringtone catalog you will find those I think you might have to be a member to access all of the ringtones music to have a vibe to it and a sensuality to it uh something a massage to that cerebral you know cortex but you don't necessarily want to disguise the words and that's where this battle sometimes ensues between the value of the words the lyric the song The Point the poignancy because the poignancies in the lyrics and then you know as a musician the poignancy of the music well look look you know you can't be too arrogant about it and I use music to create feelings and generally speaking I don't really want the listener to understand what's happening to them you know I mean obviously if you're doing a film and you want somebody to be afraid then that's a different thing you know you can do it in a quite an obvious way or or to get a fright a sudden jump but you know the these sort of massages I call them um these cerebral massages I am not so interested in the audience The Listener being aware of what's happening to them do you see this is subconscious I'm a hypnotherapist musician as well and you know you don't want when you're doing music therapy you don't sit there saying this is going to make you feel I'm bashing someone's header with it do you know what so yeah um Lightning Seeds are all set to play a hometown show at Liverpool's Eventim Olympia on Saturday 12 November. Front man Ian Broudie spoke with Jay Hynd about his incredible career to date, a new album and the Scouse crowd. Lightning Seeds are the brainchild of writer, singer, guitarist and producer Ian Broudie. Ian originally emerged from the post punk Liverpool music scene of the late seventies playing in the band “Big in Japan” which in turn led to him producing several bands starting with Echo & The Bunnymen. In 1989 Ian as Lightning Seeds released debut album ‘Cloudcukooland' featuring the hit single ‘Pure'. Second album ‘Sense' followed before the release of the seminal album ‘Jollification' in 1994 which has so far sold nearly 1 million copies. In 1996 the iconic single ‘3 Lions' for the England football team topped the charts many times over. That same year ‘Dizzy Heights' and 1999's ‘Tilt' were released to critical acclaim before Ian returned to his producer roots. Ian soon began to develop hit albums for the likes of The Coral, The Zutons and many more.

Neil and Liam Finn have released their first album together, Lightsleeper. Andrew Dickens has been listening ...As Neil Finn readies himself to embark on his grand Fleetwood Mac adventure he has released a new album in collaboration with his son Liam called Lightsleeper. Actually, the whole family is involved, Neil’s wife and Liam’s mum, Sharon, guests as bassist on a couple of tracks and Liam’s brother, Elroy, drums on all, bar three, songs. The other songs feature some drummer called Mick Fleetwood. I A sonically lush, downbeat yet dreamy production. Complex and yet simple and featuring many multi segment songs that are more like mini pop symphonies. If you liked Dizzy Heights and Out of Silence you’ll see where this is going. It’s a masterclass in composition. 9/10
