Episode Description: In this episode the Guided Podcast, Greg speaks Naoto Aoki, a guide based out of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Who is known for his dry fly skills and global travels as an angler.  Greg talks to Naoto about how he got his start into fly fishing and guiding on the local river and waters that he fishes and how he manages to catch some very impressive big brown trout’s and rainbows in this world class bow river fishery. Naoto tells us that he is so involved and active in mostly chasing theses fish only on the dry but he will through down a good streamer if needed. Greg and Adam talk about the history that has shaped Winston fly rod into what they are now, today. We talk about the early days with Winston once being based out of San Francisco and the reason for the brands move to Montana.  Winston has had many owners and partners throughout its almost 100-year history and we learn about this in the episode. We also cover the success Winston has had as the worlds best fly rods and how the technology used in theses rods is truly apart of why they hold the top spot. Adam tells Greg that Winston is always evolving and looking to be the best, as this has always been the brands mission. Episode Description: In this episode the Fly-Fishing Insider Podcast, Greg Speaks with Ryan Willis and Elliot Martin. As Greg has made it part of his mission to grow the small businesses with in fly fishing. Bot Ryan and Elliot are the owners of tandem fly box a really cool little box that is made right in the USA. Greg and the guys talk about how this simple but needed design was created from many trial and errors of using a 3D printer after what they thought was missing from current fly boxes. The guys tell us how their day jobs would bring them into lakes and such in the back country and they never had a set up with them, that they could just quickly tie up and start fishing. We also cover the story that the guys have had along the way the ups and many downs to get this company started and off the ground. But Ryan and Elliot tell me the amount of time and money invested in the product as it’s a fair bit and they are certain this box is going to make it.
