519. Part 1 of our conversation with Joshua Trosclair, housing activist. "HousingLOUISIANA is a statewide initiative aimed at meeting Louisiana's housing needs and create a statewide network of regional housing alliances to ensure better collaboration across the state. Under the #PutHousingFirst banner, Louisiana has built out its Housing Triad, a multi-pronged strategy transforming the affordable housing marketplace across the state. This alignment supports a housing-centered foundation for intersectional community-rooted initiatives designed to respond to climate change, criminal justice reform, racial inequity, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the hurricanes that have devastated South Louisiana over the last few years." We're joined by Fionnuala Jones again this week, and she's brought a whole island's worth of trashy Pokémon with her. (And, weirdly, we're not talking about the islands of Ireland, Cork, or Bainbridge.) Meanwhile, the boys have found their way to a new island themselves—Ula'ula Island—where they face an ass-backward “Kantonian-style” gym, dodge golf balls on the side of a mountain, and encounter the most punchable face this side of the Festival Plaza. And what do they have to show for it? Well, a lovely home in Dublin and a budding romance with Jude Law, hopefully.

365. We talk to Shawanda Marie, who is a cooking storyteller. "I was born into a family of very creative and talented folks. Some are visual artists, others amazing cooks, educators and then there are the musicians. All artists in their own right. After years of self discovery, I learned that I lean into multiple expressions of creativity and enjoy them equally. I spent so much time wrangling over where I'd place my focus, but I couldn't decide. Actually I refused to decide because I desire to explore them all, bringing their flavors together like a really good pot of gumbo. So here I am. My name is Shawanda Marie and I want to share my true love with you. I am the owner and creative mind behind New Orleans Creole Story Pot. Here, I infuse elements of theater performance, storytelling, visual art, education, cultural exploration, music and of course culinary art! I love to facilitate joy and see people smiling and happy.
