The United States isn't the only Western democracy practicing lawfare, Democrats are just not as good at it as some of our other European allies. Marine LePen seems to be the latest victim of this disturbing trend among populists. To add to the cultural divide between the US and the UK, it seems a 3-4 year old was dismissed from the nursery because they “misgendered” another toddler. It's stunning to see how far the Woke mind-virus has spread. We then spend some time with a presentation shared over the weekend by Elon Musk and Antonio Gracias. They found the proof of what I have been stating for years about the Democrat party's intentions to create a permanent underclass of voters by opening the floodgates at our southern border. I close with a reminder that we have to be patient with AG Bondi and FBI Director Patel. They will not be afforded the luxury of mistakes or missed steps. They won't even be believed for a truthful case. They need a case to rock-solid and airtight that it will defy all attempts by the Left to paint it as nothing more than political retribution. We open with some other news that dropped on Friday from the Atlanta Fed suggesting first quarter GDP would drop to -1.5% instead of the expected increase of +2.3%. We look to economy expert Peter St. Onge for his take and a reminder that part of GDP is government spending and Trump has been busy cutting it's size. We then spend time on the continued discussion of the Oval Office exchange Friday between President Trump and President Zelenskyy. Those on the rational and logical side, regardless of party, saw Zelenskyy make a huge error in how he conducted himself. Those who are emotionally unhinged, blamed Donald Trump. Polling from CNN says Americans are growing weary of support for Ukraine. Other independent reporting reflect that same feeling. We have to remember that phase one of the deal was an economic phase, not military. Trump has been adamant that hostilities with Russia have to cease before anything involving the US on Ukrainian soil. Over the weekend, Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) accidentally revealed that he and other Trump-haters met with Zelenskyy prior to the Oval Office meeting. When it was learned they pushed Zelenskyy to stand up to Trump, he immediately began to tap-dance, eventually landing on the Sunday shows where he made even less sense. In the meantime, while almost every EU country, starting with the UK pledge support for Ukraine, they all said it would still require US involvement. And while the EU is trying to figure out how to win back our support, Zelenskyy made a comment that the war with Russia was very, very far from ending. As we close, we have more stories of ICE raids being leaked, this time in Virginia. While I believe the FBI is the likely culprit, the issue is we have coordination with Federal, state and local agencies. We also have Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) to look to as another problem. She went on NPR to double-down on teaching illegals how to avoid ICE. So the only way he could have caught this case was to be specifically assigned to it. There was no chance of him being randomly selected. And the wild thing is that according to the left and the department of justice, judge Merchan was not only randomly selected to be the judge in this trial, but he was also randomly selected to be the judge in the Trump Organization case, and he was randomly selected to be the judge in the Steve Bannon case. So judge Merchan, a judge that is not in the pool of 24 judges that is supposed to catch these cases, a judge that is not an actual judge, but an acting judge caught all 3 Trump related cases randomly. This is a judge who gives heavily to an organization very plainly named Stop Trump, and a judge whose daughter makes tens of millions of dollars every year promoting Democrats. But, yeah, I'm sure this was just a coincidence. It was a coincidence that one of the most high profile cases ever, we didn't assign a judge, we assigned an acting judge. And that that judge somehow got selected even though he wasn't in the pool of judges available to be selected, and that that same judge that was selected also caught 2 other Trump related cases in the same year, and then that judge's daughter makes tens of millions of dollars a year promoting Democrats. In this interview, we discuss the burden of excessive government control, corruption & the erosion of trust in institutions, the influence of activists on government decisions, & reducing the size of government. Using examples from Argentina & Lebanon, we talk about the resilience of normal people in the face of a collapsing state, & the challenges of scaling anarchic systems. - - - - What Bitcoin Did makes films, which are published on YouTube under the banner “Follow the Money”. Through the experiences of everyday people, and through the lens of new kinds of currency like Bitcoin, these films explore what money is, who controls it — and how new forms of it could help create a better, more equitable future for us all. So far, 3 films have been released, covering Bitcoin's legalisation in El Salvador, inflation in the UK and Bitcoin mining in Texas. There are currently 2 further films in post-production: a film about the impact of triple-digit inflation on Argentinians, and a film about the impact of the economic crisis on the Lebanese. These films have had a profound effect on me, providing me with a unique perspective on the role of government. Making these films has spotlighted obvious negative issues emanating from bloated & corrupt states being allowed to thrive. But there are also unexpected positive experiences showing normal people's capacity to show agency & develop innovative methods of self-reliance in the face of a collapsing state. I was eager to share my experiences with Peter St Onge, who I knew could understand and contextualise my observations and insights. We delved into our philosophical beliefs on the size of government and the potential of Bitcoin. Initially, I dismissed libertarian ideas, but my experiences in these countries have challenged this thinking. We discussed the difficulties and potential risks of eliminating the state, acknowledging the natural tendency for people to organise and create rules. We also touched on the role of democracy and the potential problems that arise when the political unit becomes too large.In both countries, I observed the effects of severe economic strain on different social classes. The poor are obviously massively disadvantaged in these situations, and I was witness to many heartbreaking stories.
