Eric and the Podhouse crew discuss their experience during the second day of the Sponsor Games, a collaborative event for content creators. Alongside his partners, Triplett describes a high-pressure challenge where teams had to follow a brand brief to script, film, and edit a sixty-second promotional video for Shure microphones in just over an hour. The group details their creative process, including selecting "money shots" and navigating the technical requirements of the brief while managing team dynamics. Following the production, industry expert Justin Moore provided critical feedback, highlighting common mistakes such as branding errors and lighting issues. The episode emphasizes the importance of clear communication and professional storytelling for contractors looking to build a personal brand. Eric concludes by encouraging listeners to overcome the fear of perfection and focus on delivering authentic value through video marketing. Key Takeaways: Embrace collaboration by being willing to take direction and work effectively with a team even if you are already an expert in your field. Use storyboarding and sequential planning to maintain focus and maximize efficiency when working under strict time constraints. Pay close attention to every detail of a project brief, such as the correct spelling of brand names and specific technical requirements, to ensure your work meets professional standards. Prioritize clear and authentic communication of your value to quickly establish trust with potential partners or clients. Stop overthinking and start producing immediately, recognizing that consistent action and delivery are the best ways to improve your skills over time.
In this episode, Chris and Will explore the deeper stories behind the Games — from the power of slowing down to the resilience revealed under pressure, the meaning of teamwork, and the quiet courage it takes to grow through comparison. Along the way, they spotlight standout athletes, unforgettable moments, and the emotional heartbeat of Days 11 and 12 in Milano Cortina. “Holding Gold” is a reminder that the victories that matter most aren't always the ones on the podium — they're the ones that shape who we become.
Day Nine and Ten at Milano Cortina 2026 delivered unforgettable moments of triumph, resilience, and history, from record-breaking performances and emotional breakthroughs to fierce competition across alpine skiing, skating, biathlon, bobsleigh, and beyond. We witnessed rising young stars, legendary veterans, and dramatic finishes that reshaped medal standings while highlighting the power of perseverance and belief. As the Games surge into their final week, every race, jump, and performance continues to remind us why the Olympic spirit captivates the world.
Days Seven and Eight deliver comprehensive Olympic coverage, featuring thrilling competition highlights in skeleton, short track speed skating, and men's ice hockey, alongside in-depth research segments exploring figure skating music history, the psychology of Valentine's Day, and nutrition strategies for improved sleep and recovery. Blending sports, storytelling, and emotional reflection, the episodes include historical Olympic trivia, a cinematic “Wait — That Actually Happened?” segment, and a powerful closing monologue on the true meaning of love — setting a thoughtful and inspiring tone as the series moves into Day Nine.
Day Five and Day Six delivered speed, history, and breakout performances as Jordan Stolz blazed to Olympic gold in the men's 1000-meter speed skating, setting a new Olympic record. Both days saw dramatic finishes across alpine skiing, freestyle events, and snowboard competition, with multiple nations capturing milestone medals. As the Games continue to heat up, momentum is building toward massive matchups in hockey, curling, and a packed slate of medal events on Day Six.
Days Three and Four at Milano Cortina 2026 delivered high drama and historic moments, as Breezy Johnson's downhill gold, Ben Ogden's breakthrough silver, Cory Thiesse's trailblazing curling medal, and Ilia Malinin's dominant skate headlined two unforgettable days of competition. From women's hockey dominance and curling thrillers to alpine speed, freestyle flair, and luge precision, we explored not only the medals but the mindset, pressure, and emotional journeys that define the Olympic experience.
This is one of my favourite episodes talking to our good friend Brian. We always have such a blast playing board games with him and his good lady wife Ali. We talk about what hit our table, how we found the experience and what makes a good board game day. Be a fly on the wall and share with us in the joy that board games bring to our lives.

After being the centerpiece of the massive Games Day 2005 event, this unique Space Marine chapter and its lore seemingly vanished, leaving only fan speculation and a "Needs Citation" mark on wiki pages. That all changed in October 2025, when a fan miraculously produced the original, intact Index Astartes leaflet from that very event. We look at these record setting gamers who well, basically have too much free time.
From deep dives into HeroQuest and Citadel Combat Cards to in-depth chats with folks like Ian Livingston and Rick Priestley, Jordan Sorcery is creating incredible content documenting the rich history of Games Workshop. On this episode, he's kind enough to join me for a chat about where it all began, watching someone destroy a Dwarven cannon at Games Day, and uploading his first cat video.
Director of the official 90s 40k short film Inquisitor,Tom Lauten in conversation with Jordan Sorcery.Having worked with Troma in New York on the likes of ultra low budget horror film The Toxic Avenger, Tom Lauten applied his mastery of movie make up and special affects to the first official live action films set in Warhammer's 41st millennium. Inquisitor, and the teasers for two follow up films, was shown at Games Day and released on VHS and remains a fan favourite glimpse into the 40k universe. John Peake co-founded Games Workshop in 1975 with his school- and flat-mates Steve Jackson and Sir Ian Livingstone. Together they would sell John's handmade wooden games, publish Owl & Weasel fanzine, and battle to keep the company afloat in its first year.Everything culminated in the first ever Games Day, followed shortly thereafter by John's decision to leave the company as it pivoted towards Dungeons & Dragons and the emerging roleplaying boom. This is John's own account of the events that led to the founding of Games Workshop - a voice that has long been missing from the official record of events. NOTE: At the 07:15 mark John mistakenly refers to the date as August '74, this should in fact be August '72._____________________________ [ ELEMENT GAMES AFFILIATE LINK ]https://elementgames.co.uk/?d=11216[ PATREON ]https://www.patreon.com/jordansorcery[ KO-FI ]https://ko-fi.com/jordansorcery[ YOUTUBE CHANNELS ]History & Editorial: https://youtube.com/ @jordansorceryLongform Conversation: https://youtube.com/ @JordanSorceryPods [ WEBSITE ]https://jordansorcery.com/#GamesWorkshop #tabletop #boardgames #RPG #wargames_____________________________ Art, Music, and Copyright: Images used belong to their respective copyright owners Jordan Sorcery Theme by Joylin Music Jordan Sorcery Heraldry by Becka Moor Jordan Sorcery Heraldry and Theme copyright @jordansorcerySupport the show
