As the title promises, Moore's book looks at the first ten years of the character - from its start as a supporting feature in Strange Tales from artist Steve Ditko and writer Stan Lee through multiple reimaginings and adjustments in the hands of writers and artists like Roy Thomas, Gene Colan, and Steve Englehart. In this discussion with bookseller Justin Remer, Moore talks about the dialogue Doctor Strange created with the '60s counterculture, the tumultuous publishing history of the title, and his own prior interactions with the late Ditko and Lee. This week Corporal, Sarcastro, Fatty and Banky get together to talk about options for the service staff for the POoRCHoices compound including a pitch for trained chimps and emperor penguins which get scrapped in favor of Fatty's dream of having a three-quarters scale Johnny Five from Short Circuit and a full size Jinx from Sapce Camp as part of the service crew.   They also discuss movies and shows they've been watching including the 2025 released The Toxic Avenger; One Battle After Another; The Life of Chuck; The Last Frontier; Fallout; and The Running Man (2025).  This also leads into a quick conversation of trying to watch a show with others in your household and how they tend to "cheat" on the other viewers by watching ahead. Guys weekend is starting to look promising for having running water at the cabin and plenty of cleared out snow to be able to park and do things outside.   Fatty confirms he has the karaoke set up ready to go and Corporal gets probation on sharing a room with Sarcastro provided he gets a CPAP.  Rounding it out they come up with an idea for their new John Wick style movie or show using the mascots from the fast food chains throughout the Untited States.   Intro and Outro music written and performed by Andrés Rodríguez (Androzguitar)

For those old enough to be big Troma fans, The Toxic Avenger undoubtedly holds a special place in their hearts. When the remake was released in 2023 those hearts ceased to by mutated by radioactive sludge, instead slathered in the thick, inescapable goo of nostalgia. It comes for us all, my friends. But honestly, this remake was pretty good. Peter Dinklage mops it out of the park as Winston/the voice of Toxie, serving up plenty of slapstick gore. But like most films, it ain't perfect, and we have fun developing our own mutations of the script.

Synopsis Peter Dinklage plays Winston, a janitor working for a super polluter company called Body Talk Healthstyle, who struggles to support his stepson Wade after his mother dies of cancer. When he is diagnosed with cancer of his own, he appeals to his boss for an insurance policy that will cover his medical expenses. Like all good bosses, he denies this, so Wade attempts to steal the money only to be caught by henchmen and thrown in toxic waste. But to everyone’s surprise, the sludge only makes Winston more badass. Under the new name of the Toxic Avenger, Winston fights crime and kicks ass. Review of The Toxic Avenger (2023) I will admit that I may have originally misjudged The Toxic Avenger. Our Facebook group has mentioned this movie multiple times, and it just never looked very appealing to me. I am personally just not very interested in crass, overly explicit shock gore movies. But to be honest, I found myself laughing a lot more than I expected to. There are some genuinely funny moments in this movie, and the cast is stacked with actors like Kevin Bacon, Elijah Wood, and, of course, Peter Dinklage, who carry this movie on their backs. It’s still not really my cup of tea, and I actually think the movie got progressively less interesting as it moved through act 3, but it’s still a decent movie that affords some good times. Score 6/10
