Bo and Ronan are joined by Bryce Meredith on today's episode. Bryce is a 3x All American Wrestler, 6-0 fighter in the PFL coming off a dominant decision victory at the beginning of April, and one of Bo's oldest friends. The team begins talking about Bryce's recent fight and how he was able to dominate his last opponent. Then they talk about what fighting really is and why do people enjoy watching it so much. The conversation leads the boys down a rabbit hole in discussing how people have been fighting for generations and the different ways they would participate in combat. The tides turn when Ronan brings up Bo's new fight announcement on June 1st against Jacob Malkoun, but Bo quickly tells them that it's fake news. Bo then goes on talking about him and how it would not be a step up in competition for him to take that fight. Also the boys discuss why are people calling Bo out so much? They come to several conclusions about the recent stir up. Later on, Bryce goes into what it is like training with Sean O'Malley and why he believes he is so good at the sport. They also go over how he is completely different than people perceive him to be. The media shines him in a different light and Bryce explains what it is really like training with one of the best fighters right now. The finish up the boys recap the Olympic Trials from this past weekend. They go over all the highs and the lows from the tournament including, Aaron Brooks defeating David Taylor to represent the United States, Jason Nolf against Kyle Dake, and many other matches. As a competitor and coach, Bill Zadick has forever written his name in the U.S. wrestling record book. He won a gold medal at the World Championships in Guangzhou, China in 2006. His younger brother, Mike, brought home a silver medal from the same tournament, making them the first set of brothers since Terry and Tom Brands in 1995 to both make the same World or Olympic team. For a 10-year period, he was one of the most competitive wrestlers on the U.S. national freestyle team. After a fifth-place finish in the 1995 NCAA Championships, Zadick earned an NCAA championship as a senior in 1996, helping the University of Iowa win back-to-back NCAA team titles. He wrestled at Great Falls (Montana) High School from 1988 to 1991 and is one of only 17 wrestlers to win four Montana state high school championships, which he accomplished in four different weight classes: 98, 112, 119 and 135. After retiring from competition in 2008, Bill joined USA Wrestling to work with the developmental program. From 2011-14, the U.S. won eight Cadet World medals, nine Junior World medals and 10 medals at the University Worlds or University World Games. Zadick was named national freestyle coach in 2016. In 2017, the U.S. won its first World team title in 22 years led by gold medalists Jordan Burroughs and Kyle Snyder, silver medalists Thomas Gilman and James Green, and bronze medalists J'den Cox and Nick Gwiazdowski. Zadick and his staff also produced one of the greatest years in USA Wrestling age-group history, including winning the Junior World team title for the first time in over 30 years. Zadick was named the U.S. Olympic Committee's Coach of the Year from among all of its governing bodies. At the 2018 Senior World Championships, the Americans finished second and had seven medalists, including World champions Cox, Kyle Dake and David Taylor. In 2019, Zadick led the United States to another successful season, including becoming the first team to win all 10 gold medals at the Senior Pan American Championships. For his stellar wrestling and coaching career, Bill Zadick is honored as a Distinguished Member of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame. Bio via the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.

Olympian Kyle Dake is living his dream - it's been a long journey but today, August 4th 2021 he's competing on the Olympic stage. We're taking a look back at what brought him here. What made him the competitor he is today? Today we're replaying an interview from 2014 so you can see what drove this Olympian. It's a mix of positivity, focus and drive. “I don't think about losing. I think about winning every time I step on the mat. I imagine myself wrestling the greatest wrestler of all time and beating him every single day. That's just how  I get myself better every single day,” says Kyle Dake, Team USA 74 kg wrestler and 4x NCAA Champion.   Today's episode is a throwback to an interview that Joe did with Kyle in 2014. Kyle, at this time, was striving to be the greatest. It's amazing to see how far he has come by living with these expectations and standards he holds for himself. Wednesday, August 4, 2021, is his Olympic debut.   In this episode, you'll learn…   • The impact Kyle's parents had on him, and his eventual decision to live by their values on his own • Taking action to excel and committing to being the best • No matter what your work or practice, find something to be happy about  • “You can only lose when you quit.” • Pushing through what you think are the hardest times so you can keep pushing the “wall” holding you back   Don't forget to watch Kyle in the 2021 Olympic Games, and keep up with him on social media...
