We have the executive director for the non-profit Risen Motherhood and talented Author Laura Wifler, on today's show. This interview is a sweet and transparent conversation about children with disabilities. Laura shares stories from her own life about how God has used motherhood, in particular mothering a child with disabilities, to transform her, as well as her family and her ministry. She has a beautiful purpose to help create conversations, normalize disabilities, and train others to interact with people of all ages with disabilities. We hear how Laura educates her kids through great family phrases and helpful heart-to-heart conversations. Laura gives us some wise advice in handling the complexities of being in a family with disabilities, and she speaks to the grace God gives us each day. We also explore the healthy practice of holding grief, sorrow, hope, and joy. We hope today's show is an encouragement to families that have members with disabilities and to help serve as an education to those who don't. Enjoy! Jesus said His yoke is easy, and His burden is light. When we follow Him, we don't have to be weighed down by cares and worries about the future! He gives us grace for today.

We live in the position of righteousness as children of God by the power of His grace. This results in Fullness of Life!
Paul said in Romans, “where sin abounded, grace abounded much more under Jesus.” Literally, the phrase “abounded much more” means: super-abounded, to exist in abundance. That means God makes His grace “super-abound” over abounding sin. In other words, grace reigns through who you are in Christ and sin has no power over you!

Grace is the unearned, unmerited favor of God. By grace, we are also redeemed. However, grace is also God's empowerment. As believers, our position (our standing) should be one of power and authority.
We continue our new sermon series, Grace for Today, with the question: Why Grace? To fully answer this simple question, we must define grace and talk about the purpose for our existence as well as our position in Christ.
It is true that God gave His grace to everyone through Jesus Christ, but each of us must still make decisions daily that will activate the grace of God. Join us for a new sermon series, as we discuss activating the gift of God's unmerited, unearned, and undeserved favor in our lives.
Are you familiar with the feeling of "barely making it"? We are! This week, we chat through the reality that God gives us enough for each day....but some days it feels like *barely* enough. If that sounds disheartening, listen in to hear how we are aiming to navigate this season of "survival mode" with hope and strength to move forward day after day. This provision of "just enough for today" isn't God's way of cutting us short or tricking us--it's actually an invitation to draw closer and closer to him. Join us as we lean in to the grace of God that is renewed for us each day.
