Actual talent on the No Outlet Podcast! In fact, I am going to go out on a sturdy limb and state that tonight's guest is the MOST TALENTED person we have ever had on the show and that is saying something. Our guest has been part of a Broadway production, has been in Movies, TV shows, was the Artistic director of UCB NYC, is the creator and host of “Characters Welcome” an AMAZING YouTube channel, he also is the Founder of the Squirrel Comedy Theatre…I could go on and on, but I think that I have made my point. You will not be surprised (being the improv nerds that we are) to hear that we a huge fans of this guy, and were really excited to have him on the show! We talked about the best Harold Team ever*, the art of Face Calibration (and correlating skill enhancements), the importance of Pippen (not Scottie), a few things we have in common, finally making Karaoke an Olympic event and picking the perfect song, developing a sense of humor with Leslie Nielson, finding the right alchemy when forming world class Improv teams, aggressive (sounding) foreign languages, the age old choice between Alcohol and Caffeine and when not to comment on an extremely overdone cultural moment along with may other super important topics. We had a great time and hope you all enjoyed the conversation as much as we did! Check out Michael in all his endeavors...you can see him perform at the Squirrel Comedy Theatre https://www.thesquirrelnyc.com/ with his Improv team Borabish and, of course, check out Characters Welcome on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/CharactersWelcome. Leah works as a private acting teacher and instructor at The Green Room Studio Chicago and Actors Training Center, and is in Vedic meditation teacher training with Kelsey Mathes of KAM Meditation. Leah is a director in residence at PROP Thtr's inaugural Chicago Director's Workshop. On this episode of #SoLA, Camille and Charlie realize it’s their 69th episode, make a bunch of bad jokes about it, then move on to Mean Camille being very uncharitable on many topics. She blames Camibriel Byrne. Charlie has lots of Harold Team names, and many updates from Chaz/Chez/etc. Camille discusses her perma-bloodshot eyes and coasters for far too long. They figure out Weezer is to blame for all the ills of the world and Kula, if you're still listening, please come join us for a #SoLA Nation episode.  It's basically a lot of Nero-ing a violin while LA burns to the ground. Hopefully we're able to make it to another week so we can apologize for all the awful stuff we said this week.

On this episode of #SoLA, Camille and Charlie are back with the long-awaited third season. Like many long-awaited sequels, it’s clunky. But it wouldn’t be #SoLA if it weren’t! Naturally, a six month break means there is a lot to catch up on- Charlie is a Meat Reducer now! Camille is allergic to rosé! Lots of opinions about A Star Is Born! Of course, Charlie’s show Weird City aired… but they barely talk about that. Instead, Charlie tries to get back the Vampire Charbriel Byrne voice and Camille tries to remember the theme song to the show-within-a-show on Extras. They debate which Kevin Smith movie which season of #SoLA is, the secret Bill Cosby was trying to tell us and whether The Secret works or not.  There are new Harold Team names, a new prodcuer (Hi, Anosh!), new routes, new games and eventually, they do talk about LA. A little.

On this episode of #SoLA, Camille and Charlie are back at Will’s: no guests, no board games, just a couple uninformed maniacs trying to discuss astrology, horoscopes and the phenomenom known as Mercury in Retrograde. Charlie is a typical Leo, a pleasure seeker and a success in Hollywood; Camille is a failure of a Sagitarius, utterly unconcerned with the Meaning of Life and truth-seeking. And Charlie was born under Mecury in Retrograde. Or so we assume. What’s that mean? Essentially that all things electrical hate him… because space dust.  Also, Camille and Charlie have been watching a lot of Seinfeld lately. Have you seen it? It’s great. So great Charlie stole Bubble Boy and turned him into the Garfield Purist. A fan of ours stole a Harold Team name and there’s a lot of talk a lot about bodegas, air toxicity and which Beatles is which Beatle. Rodeo Road is becoming Obama Blvd. WE had a baby. Casey’s the one of the hosts of Crashbar Improv, he’s a Harold Team performer on John Velvet, he’s a hip hop Improviser on Hip Hop Penguin, and he’s the co-host of the UCBLA Podcast. We talk a little bit about participating in improv jams, about the awesomeness that is the harold. Casey also talks to me a little bit about his new team that is performing the Documentary and he breaks down why you’re gonna want to be at the LA Indie Improv Festival. Also, someone called in with a question about smoking weed, so everyone wins. Subscribe, rate, comment, enjoy.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
