This episode has so much going on, we don't know where to begin. Arthur discusses a recent family visit to Kansas City's Case Park and some rather naughty grafitti he discovered. The family discusses their favorite Kansas City Barbecue joint and Arthur discusses making Spanish Tortillas. All that plus we cover the strange case of the Greenbrier Ghost, the only ghost in American history to implicate her killer in this amazing story about the early days of West Virginia. You can't make this stuff up in this amazingly historic and hysterical episode of the Family Plot Podcast.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/family-plot--4670465/support.

The TRUE And REAL Tale of The Remarkable GREENBRIER GHOSTThe state's case against this defendant—an apparent peaceable village blacksmith of the 1890s— was based entirely upon circumstantial evidence—evidence that was "dreamed" by Mrs. Shue's aged mother while sleeping in her rustic home, 14 miles away from the scene of the killing on the other side of Sewell Mountain.Ghost stories are legion. Dreams have come down through the centuries. But little credence is given their visions. But nobody has ever actually proved, except for Mrs. Mary J. This lady was killed in her 20s in the 1890s, allegedly by her husband, a blacksmith named Trout. This took place during the heyday of spiritualism, mediums, and seances of the turn of the century. The killing was alleged to be true with the given legal testimony of a ghost, where the ghost of Zona supposedly visited her mother and told her that Trout was the murderer. This led to Trout's conviction, the first time anything of this nature had occurred in a US court. Tune in to find out whether Zona was killed or stuck in an "everlasting faint"

When Zona Heaster married her husband, she never expected till death do us part would mean at the hands of her betrothed. The only documented case of a ghost solving their own murder, this story isn't the typical ghost story told around the campfire. Erasmus, her husband, met his untimely death in Moundsville prison, forever etched in the law books as the man who was convicted by the testimony of the woman he murdered. Through her mother, Zona was able to give specific details of what happened when she met her untimely demise. Listen in as we tell the tale of this, the Greenbrier Ghost, the only murder case solved by the ghost of the victim. **We experienced a strange paranormal event during the recording, please listen at your own risk, we did not alter or enhance the EVP recorded.*** http://222paranormal.libsyn.com/ https://www.facebook.com/222paranormal/
