*EVERYTHING STATED HERE ABOUT HULK HOGAN REGARDING UNCONFIRMED RUMORS SHOULD BE NOTED THAT IS ALL ALLEGED AND NOT PROVEN FACT. PLEASE DO NOT SUE US AS WE DON'T HAVE THAT BUBBA THE LOVE SPONGE MONEY. JOE AND I COULD NEVER AFFORD STRIP CLUB BUFFET SUSHI. WE CAN BARELY AFFORD THE RICE. THIS IS ALL FOR LAUGHS* Paul takes Joe back in to the land of wrestling in hopes of converting the podcast from one about music to one about 1980 pro wrestling. However Joe refuses to put up Paul's REDACTED and puts him in the BA BA BA BLASTZONE! Oh for the last 30 minutes of the podcast, the whole thing goes off the rails. This is by far the most unhinged, incoherent mess that Rate That Album has been done. SPEAKING of, how will Joe and Paul Rate That Album?

We are here today to talk about two Beach Boys albums, Still Crusin' from 1989 and Summer in Paradise from 1992. Are they really as bad as people make them out to be? To help us get to the bottom of this dilemma, we are welcoming our good friend Jesse Krakow (from Hulk Rules with Jesse Krakow fame) back to Bumming with Bobcat as we break them down! Our very own Uncle Jesse breaks out the guitar on some songs to help detail what The Beach Boys must have been thinking during production as we dive into the deep dark depths of these two albums. We discuss which songs give off a classic Beach Boys vibe, and which songs should have never been recorded. Wouldn't it have been nice to see Hulk Hogan as beach boy? Would you want to do the Bartman with Mike Love? Why is Cocktail such a dark movie? 80's nostalgia for the 60's, using your very first Macintosh, The Beer Boys, giving John Stamos the credit he deserves, and much MORE!What's the perfect beer to pair with these albums? Looking for a taste of summer with a bitter aftertaste? Something that's from a well known brand, decent enough, but not as good as the classics? Samuel Adams Beach Session IPA is the answer!Samuel Adams Beach Session IPA is the Summer in Paradise of the Samuel Adams Summer variety pack. It's a summer beer from the brand that brings you the highly regarded Sam Adams Summer Ale, and this is a IPA that's drinkable, but it's still an IPA. On this milestone 25th episode of the Noobs and Knockouts podcast, Claire and Elizabeth return to join Austin and David in listening to perhaps the lowest point in Hulk Hogan's professional career: his music album. On this episode we talk about how all the music sounds fake, how the lyrics are all garbage, Hulk Hogan being unable to sing or rap, Linda Hogan singing a cry for help, how Hogan making up a story of a kid dying to write a power ballad, how Hulkamania is a death cult, how Beach Patrol is ironically enjoyable, and so much more because when we have guests, things go completely off the rails. Won't you join us?
After being the biggest star professional wrestling had ever seen, Hulk Hogan left the WWF to star in his own tv series. It didn't last long before he came back to wrestling, but this time went to rival company, WCW in 1994. One year later, he made an album with some friends and his wife. This is the story of Hulk Hogan and the Wrestling Boot Band's Hulk Rules, from 1995. The Hulkster's in the house! Grab yourself a cold one and join Bum Wine Bob along with Jesse Krakow as they discuss the classic 1995 rap-rock album, "Hulk Rules" by Hulk Hogan & The Wrestling Boot Band! We are no strangers to this unforgettable album at bumwinebob.com and on Bumming with Bobcat, when back in 2015 we did a special Hulk Hogan & The Wrestling Boot Band tribute podcast right before the Hulkster found himself enthralled in controversy. Now three years later, we are taking another trip with the beach patrol and Jesse is joining us on the journey!Jesse Krakow is a musician who was recently compelled to re-record this album and give it a new lease on life. Did the world really need another "Hulk Rules" album? We are taking a deep dive into this album and try to figure out what they were thinking and who thought this was a good idea."I first heard this album in 2003 when my brother handed me a copy and commanded that I listen to it immediately. For a former Hulkamaniac like myself that first listen was quite the experience. It immediately raised many questions, the main one being "Why is Hulk Hogan rapping?" Sadly I had no answer. I still don't. To this day I remain baffled as to why this album was recorded, let alone recorded a decade after the height of Hulkamania. But I'm happy it was." "Actually, I have no real idea why I remade this album. But that makes sense. If I remain confused about the very existence of "Hulk Rules" I should also be confused about my proactive reaction to it. 'Cause it never stops being interesting. When Armageddon comes my brother and I will still be talking about it. I have written a lot about it and could write a lot more. A lot has already been written by others about it, and i'm sure they could write a lot more too. I see no end in sight."You can download the complete "Hulk Rules" album by Jesse Krakow here: https://jessekrakow.bandcamp.com/album/hulk-rulesWe are also breaking down the current landscape of professional wrestling, while talking about how we became fans ourselves. Why do they always pull us back in after we think we are out?All that and MORE featured on this weeks episode! Grab a drink and give it a listen. Cheers!
Goodboix and Stoppies come together this month on Jukebox Zeroes! In which Lee and Patrick, joined by Heather Mack & Mike Dunn of fellow bad music podcast Make It Stop, dig deep into the psychological thriller that is The WWE's Hulk Hogan & The Wrestling Boot Band's singular release: 1995's Hulk Rules. Join them as they uncover the dark secrets the album holds, including a slow descent into Hulkamania, a conspiracy to sell buffalo meat, the restless ghost of "Macho Man" Randy Savage, and Jimmy "Mouth Of The South" Hart's silky croon.Recorded live in the studios of Boston Free Radio in Somerville! This Month's Local Artist Feature: Horse Mode - "A Summer Ham"
In 1995, Hulk Hogan, Jimmy Hart, and J.J. Maguire made an album. In 2017, Brett made us listen to this album. Contained within this episode, is our reactions to this outdated-even-when-fresh wreck of an "album". Enjoy.
The Hulkster's in the House! You might not know that it was 20 years ago that Hulk Hogan released his one and only studio album, "Hulk Rules" to everyone on the planet earth. We are breaking down this musical classic on this weeks edition of the BWB Podcast! This album reached #12 on Billboard's Kid Albums chart and is currently rated 4.4 out of 5 stars on Amazon! The reviews are overwhelmingly positive for Hulk Hogan and The Wrestling Boot Band!"Hands down the most important album of the 20th Century!" "The greatest CD Ever! ""I just simultaneously orgasmed eight times" "Sliced bread has nothing on this" "The best F you music when annoying your friends. BUY IT!"It doesn't get much better than this classic album by the Hulkster. Have you had the pleasure to enjoying this album yourself? What alcoholic beverage pairs best with the wrestling boot band? This CD takes life to the next level and cannot be undervalued at all."The only words I was able to mutter at the end were "thank you". Man this Cd is AWESOME!!!. "Beach Patrol" got me so pumped up I went out and beat up my neighbor. The lyrics to "I want to be a Hulkamaniac are now written in my heart and I will live by them forever. "Hulkster in Heaven" is the highlight of this album."We are keeping the celebration of America going this week with the continuation of Thunderbird as Bum Wine Of The Week for the second week in a row. Have some Hulkster drinking stories of your own? Call in and let us know!"Always go swimming with a buddy, work real hard and always study."All that and MORE on this weeks episode!
