SECTION 453: TOXIC IMMUNITY ON CAPITOL HILL Food Travel USA with Elizabeth DoughertyAlbum: The TRUTH About Food and Travel 072625 Episode #: 1949 Original Release Date: 07/23/2025 Behind closed doors on Capitol Hill, a toxic deal is unfolding—and it reeks of corruption. Buried deep in the Interior Department's appropriations bill is Section 453, a quiet little clause with catastrophic consequences. Written to shield pesticide giants like Bayer-Monsanto from lawsuits, this provision would block farmers, families, and victims from holding chemical manufacturers accountable—no matter how much harm their products cause. Introduced by Congressman Mike Simpson, this section gives corporate polluters a free pass, overriding state laws and gutting legal protections for those poisoned by products like Roundup. It's a blatant betrayal of public trust—crafted not for the people, but for the powerful. We urge every American to contact their representative and demand that Section 453 be removed. Because when lawmakers side with lobbyists over lives, we don't just lose lawsuits—we lose our freedom to fight back. WHEN FIRE RAINS FROM HEAVEN Food Travel USA with Elizabeth DoughertyAlbum: The TRUTH About Food and Travel 072625 Episode #: 1950 Original Release Date: 07/22/2025 There's a stillness that falls across the earth just before midnight in July—when the air holds its breath, and the sky begins to stir. In the weeks to come, a cosmic parade will streak across the heavens: the Delta Aquariids, the Alpha Capricornids, the grand Perseids. Fire, falling from the firmament like ancient messages, ignored by cities but whispered to dreamers. In times long ago, sages watched the same skies and spoke of a dawning age—a time when truth would triumph over deception, when the balance of man and nature would restore, and when the stars would mark a turning. The moon in the 7th house. Jupiter aligned with Mars. Not just a lyric—but a warning. Or maybe a promise. Now, the night sky is roaring back to life. And under these showers of light, people gather in open fields, desert plateaus, mountaintops... watching, waiting, wondering if this is it. If maybe, just maybe, the Age of Aquarius isn't coming— It's here. Look up, the stars are burning bright Secrets blazing in the night Meteor truth comes crashing down While silence falls on every town This is the age, this is the age, this is the age... of REVELATION FOOD TRAVEL USA FAST FACTS About the Show Using the chassis of a food and travel show, Elizabeth Dougherty has carved out her own lane in Talk Radio, covering the contamination of the food supply and the travel restrictions placed upon us by an overreaching government. A bold statement made by Michel Hendricks (which we agree with, by the way). In this episode, John has a conversation with Michel about why most discipleship relationships don't stick, and how to fix it. Spoiler alert: it doesn't have to do with knowledge, or tools, or good preaching. Michel Hendricks is the co-author of The Other Half of Church and a discipleship trainer with Life Model Works. In this case, we dive into the investment case for Venezuela, a non-starter for pretty much every institution because of the country's autocratic political regime, sanctions, and headline risk. But alongside those known risks are the potential for significant rewards. Rodrigo Bitar is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of 3B1 Partners, the leading private equity fund making growth investments in Venezuela. 3B1 invests in high-quality companies with leading positions in basic industries, while looking to capture a change in macroeconomic conditions in the country. Our conversation covers Rodrigo's upbringing in Chile, professional background, and investment opportunity in Venezuela. We discuss Venezuela's sanctions, economic contraction, and dollarization of the economy. Everyday people are the key to seeing the kingdom advance and it turns out Jesus plan' of multiplication is the key to seeing the nations reached! Josh Howard has been a pivotal figure in global disciple-making movements, with a particular focus on South Asia. Since 2008, he has dedicated himself to spreading the Kingdom of God by raising disciples who make disciples, leaders who develop leaders, and churches that plant churches. In his role at Central India Christian Mission (CICM), Josh oversees the church planting school, preparing church planters to venture into unreached areas across India and neighboring countries. In 2015, he launched "Ignite," a ministry that has remarkably started over 16,000 churches in about eight years through movements of multiplication, including over 8,000 churches in 2022. Currently, Josh serves as the Global Mobilization Catalyst for E3 Partners and as the Director of Vision and Mobilization for Discipleship.org, where he continues to inspire and equip others in the mission of disciple-making. Beyond his ministry work, Josh cherishes time with his family. He and his wife, Lashi, reside in the Indianapolis area with their three children: sons Josiah and Jeremiah, and daughter Zara. We see in Jesus' model that there are three components of disciple making, and in our culture we usually stick with one. Susie Walther helps us walk out what it looks like to incorporate all 3. Susie Walther is the founder of The Well Training Ministry. As a young woman, she served in the military and committed her life to Christ through the influence of her Army roommate. Susie received much of her early discipleship training through The Navigators and served as associate staff with that ministry for 10 years at Ft. Campbell, KY. Her ministry spans 30 years and counting, and includes leading Bible studies, teaching and equipping, mentoring, speaking at conferences and spiritually coaching Christian women in their ministries. Thousands of women have come through the doors of The Well ministry for Bible study and training, which equip women to more effectively do their own work of ministry in their own spheres of influence. In this episode: • Why do we limit discipleship? • Are the 3 components happening at the same time? • How have the 3 components looked in your own life? • Inviting others to the work RESOURCES MENTIONED: The Pathway Series The Well Training Ministry The 3 Modes of Disciple Making Original Release Date: 04/03/25

In this episode, Andrew talks with Ian Harber about deconstruction. More specifically, how to walk with someone who is going through deconstruction. Ian, who has gone through a deconstruction process himself, makes the point that at the end of deconstruction, there is always reconstruction. Reconstruction can look like a closer walk with Jesus, or it can look like leaving the faith altogether - or anywhere in between. Ian is author of the new book, Walking Through Deconstruction. He serves as Director of Communications and Marketing for Mere Orthodoxy. He also writes regularly about faith and life in a post-Christian age at his Substack, Back Again. This causes big problems - on a lot of levels - but especially when behavior modification and church attendance do nothing to help our deeper issues. It has been almost two years since we've had Abigail Wilson on the show (which we cannot believe). We are thrilled to have her back to talk about her new book: An Invitation to Christmas. It seems like Christmas season is the busiest time of the year, every year. But it can also be a time of deep reflections, and refocusing our eyes on Jesus, as we get ready to celebrate His birth. In her book, Abigail invites us to see how specific promises in the Old Testament about Jesus' coming, the people who pointed to Him, those who worshipped Him, and how we, today, can pause and still see Him working. Her book is available on Amazon now, so get it while you can! Abigail Wilson is a native Texan living in Europe with her husband and three children. She spends most of her days Moming her kids and her kid's friends whenever needed, navigating her way down Europe's stupidly small roads, folding endless laundry, and decorating her house for every possible holiday. However, teaching Bible studies and writing are her passions, and while this is her first published devotional, it feels like it has been something she's been working on her whole life. You can also read her memoir on loss and finding hope amid seasons of waiting, The Day Between: A Memoir of Miracles, on Kindle and paperback. There is a reason that in Philippians 4:6, Paul tells us to present our requests to God, with thanksgiving. It is not because God is an ego-maniac who needs to be acknowledged for everything He does (although He really should be acknowledged for everything He does, because without Him, we wouldn't be breathing). God knows that gratitude changes everything. It changes us, and it changes the world around us. He does everything for our best interest, and telling us to practice gratitude is no different. We love having Shelton Markham on, and this episode can be filed under the "gems from Shelton" folder. Discipleship is a term that is quite frequently thrown around in our church culture today. But how does Jesus view discipleship? And how did Jesus do discipleship when He was walking on earth? John interviews Justin Gravitt to talk about 7 tests of discipleship to determine if we are actually helping people become more like Jesus. Justin Gravitt is a disciple-making leader and writer whose primary passion is to help everyday believers repurpose their lives in light of God‘s plan for them as disciple-makers. Justin has served with The Navigators since 2000, and is the founder and executive Director of the Dayton Disciple Makers Network, host to the popular Practitioner's Podcast, and author of The Foundation of a Disciplemaking Culture . He is an avid Reds fan, loves the beach, and dad-joking his kids. He lives in Dayton, Ohio with his wife, Kristen and their four children. Both Justin and John have a lot of wisdom that we can all glean from. Unfortunately, they both root for the wrong football team, and we're not letting that "O-H" chant slide. #wearepennstate IN THIS EPISODE Introduction Doing what was done for us Like Jesus Test Incarnation Test Consistency Test Equipping Test Outcome Test Like Us Test Saving/Lost Test Bicycle Illustration Final Thoughts RESOURCES MENTIONED Justin's Website - http://justingravitt.com The Bicycle Illustration - https://www.justingravitt.com/bicycle-illustration The Foundation of a Disciple-Making Culture - https://a.co/d/5gpPhC6 Practitioner's Podcast - https://www.justingravitt.com/practitioners-podcast Original Release Date: 09/19/24 SHOP the ITH Store - https://www.intotheharvest.org/shop/ SUBSCRIBE to our free weekly newsletter, Disciple Notes: https://jandrewstroud.substack.com/ ******************** Want to Help Us Grow? • Subscribe and give us a 5-star review on Apple Podcasts and Spotify • Share this episode on Facebook • If you believe in what we're doing and want to help us reach a wider audience, become a monthly supporter The post #213- Justin Gravitt: How to Make Disciples – 7 Tests appeared first on Into the Harvest
How we think of ourselves matters more than we probably realize. Our view of ourselves shapes the way we see God, and others, and it affects our actions everyday. There is an enemy out to steal, kill, and destroy our view of ourselves because he knows that if he can lie to us about who we are, he can lie to us about a legion of other things. In this episode, John had the pleasure of interviewing his wife Jess about identity in Christ. Jess is a Bible teacher and a mom, and has created a great tool to help us understand the importance of our identity. Being discipled and making disciples looks different in different seasons of life. In this episode, Andrew has a conversation with Renée Sproles about the different phases of a woman's life, how she can be seeking God, being discipled, and discipling others in each season. Renée was born and raised in middle Tennessee. She and her husband, David, have been married for over 30-years and have two adult children, Emma and Houston. As a homeschool mom of two grown children, it's probably no surprise that she loves to teach. She and David have been co-teaching parenting classes for over 25 years. And they currently teach a weekly marriage and family class at their local church. DID WE LEARN OUR LESSON? Klaus Schwab's Daughter: ‘Permanent Climate Lockdowns Coming – Whether You Like It or Not' thepeoplesvoice.tv SOURCES From thepeoplesvoice.tv: The WEF's promotion of the “climate emergency” narrative seeks to “create a change that is not incremental…to position nature at the core of the economy,” according to Schwab's offspring. Nicole Schwab made the admission in a newly unearthed video that was recorded during a WEF panel discussion back in 2020. The WEF lists Nicole Schwab as a “Member of the Executive Committee” of the WEF who is also the co-director of Platform to Accelerate Nature-Based Solutions & 1t.org. The group of WEF attendees were discussing how the fake threat of an “immediate emergency” can be used to further advance the WEF's “Great Reset” plan for humanity. “This [COVID] crisis has shown us that first of all, things can shift very rapidly when we put our minds to it and when we feel the immediate emergency to our livelihoods,” Nicole Schwab declares.
