Backstage during this past weekend's Stagecoach festival at the Empire Polo Fields in Indio, CA, Audacy's KSON San Diego morning hosts John & Tammy were joined by The Beach Boys' Mike Love, and his partner in sound, John Stamos. As fans are well aware, actor John Stamos has been occasionally performing on the drums and various other percussion instruments with The Beach Boys since way back in 1985, three years later even appearing in their "Kokomo" music video. “He actually played drums in a three-piece band in Orange County, California before he became Blackie on 'General Hospital,'” Mike Love explains. “Then matriculated to ‘America's favorite Uncle.' It's not Uncle Sam. It's Uncle Jesse.” Although, Stamos argues, “I thought it was Uncle Fester.” Watching The Beach Boys perform at an event like Stagecoach, you can see how the group has touched so many lives over the years, with young and not-so-young fans singing along to the classics right beside each other. Truly the definition of "American music," Stamos believes “when the whole world wanted to be us, it was because of the imagery and the tableau that Mike painted with his lyrics about cars and girls, but more importantly, optimism and 'Camelot,' and you know, there was really hope. I think what I love most about hearing the music now -- getting the honor to play it with him -- is that the people need these songs now more than they did, even when they wrote them.” “The music bypasses the brand and goes straight to the heart,” John adds. “That's why the age group is so vast, I think.” “It's a total blessing,” says Love. “What we do for a living was a family hobby that started singing. We started singing together with my cousins and my uncles and aunts and everything and friends and family. We used to literally Christmas carol around our neighborhood and then we'd have a big Christmas-time feast.” ”It started in the family, harmony between my cousins, Brian, Dennis, and Carl [Wilson] were my first cousins and we got together,” Love continues. “The first memory of Brian singing was on my grandmother Wilson's lap at Christmas. He sang ‘Danny Boy' and you know, his voice was just so amazing. We'd listen to the radio together and we would get kicked out of the house because we played our music too loud.” “But my mom, she woke us up to her opera music, it was murder to go to school. We had a grand piano, organ, and harp in the living room. How could you not get influenced?” he asks. John Stamos' longtime love affair with the group is no secret, and becoming their unofficial but now official member is still a point of contention for the actor. “You know, when I talk about myself in The Beach Boys, it's mainly just praising them,” he argues. “It's certainly Mike who I feel is one of the most underrated musicians on the planet. He didn't get the credit that he deserved -- I'm not kissing his a** just because we got a big show tonight and he's gonna let me do a few extra songs.” “My first concert was The Beach Boys and I remember thinking ‘God, I hope that he comes out and says, ‘Our drummer broke his fingers.' He's brought so much joy and love to my family and my friends and I'm just so grateful to Mike,” Stamos adds. “It's all about love and harmony and positivity,” Mike says, “and John brings all that and more to the stage -- and he plays drums damn well.” Don't miss John & Tammy's full conversation with Mike Love and John Stamos above -- and be sure to catch a wave with The Beach Boys on their Endless Summer Gold Tour! It's time for our most beloved Disney adult, John Stamos! That's right, this encore is all about Disney Adults, Disney Secrets, and of course Uncle Jesse. Have Mercy!Picture this, it's a beautiful day in Southern California, you're walking down Main Street USA, the smell of churros in the air, your favorite childhood songs are playing in the background, and in the distance you can even see the beautiful skyline of planet Batuu, Sleeping Beauty's Castle, and the frosty peaks of Matterhorn Mountain. Sounds pretty magical right? We LOVE Disney over here on BTIKP, but some stupid internet trolls just LOVE to hate on anyone who loves Disney as an adult. But, WHY?? Why does the internet get so heated when an adult likes Disney? This makes us want to scream louder than when we're being whipped around on Space Mountain. So we had to call in an expert on this one. This week we are joined by Disney superfan, and our favorite uncle, John Stamos, to chat about his love of Disney, his Disney memorabilia collection, and why people should have mercy with Disney adults. So put on your best pair of Mickey ears, because we're taking you on a ride to The Happiest Place on Earth! Remember Full House? Remember how wholesome and family-friendly it was? Remember Aunt Becky? She was married to Uncle Jesse. She was part of that wave of television which instilled good family values and strong moral character while still being funny and entertaining...life before the OC.But despite Lori Loughlin's fairly robust acting career, she found herself on the wrong side of the law. In this episode, Paul breaks down the largest college admissions scandal in US history. The "Varsity Blues" case showcased everything wrong with how rich, entitled people could manipulate and cheat the system to get their kids into the higher education programs of their choice. There was no trial here, everyone in the case pleaded guilty, so this episode is a little different. But most cases don't go to trial, the vast majority of prosecutions end up in guilty pleas. Without getting into the weeds on whether that, in and of itself, is an issue we need to remedy, this case presents a look at the common situation of what you do when you have one legal argument to make, and it doesn't work. When a defense lawyer sees one avenue to getting a case dismissed, and the judge disagrees, sometimes the best advice you can give to a client is, know when to take a deal and reduce your punishment. This case is also interesting because of the unique nature of the deal that Loughlin got. Listen and enjoy!

John Stamos (actor, producer, author of If You Would Have Told Me) breaks down all things Full House, from his extremely close relationship with the late, great Bob Saget, to his struggle to come to terms with his iconic role as “Uncle Jesse.” He opens up about his very public D.U.I. incident and why he finally decided to seek help for his addictions, his issues with not feeling smart enough, his thoughts on his teen idol status, and how he moved through his resentment toward his ex-wife, Rebecca Romijn. John discusses how his parents kept him grounded and motivated, ways he has found his ego has stood in his way, beginning his therapy journey after his dad died, what he loves most about being a father, and his meditation practice. Mayim and John reflect on parenting styles and he details his musical career and performances with the Beach Boys. You know the first guest on How Rude, Tanneritos had to be a good one! Jodie & Andrea welcome Uncle Jesse himself, John Stamos, to the podcast to talk about his brand new, best-selling, memoir and his favorite Full House memories. Why did Jodie intimidate John since day 1? Which cast member found themselves late to cast intros because of a possible “moment” with a masseuse? And why did he dislike Bob Saget so much during the early seasons? It's time to for John Stamos to carry us home - on the newest episode of How Rude, Tanneritos!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Have mercy! John Stamos finally spills the tea on a storied career in his new, sort-of-a-bombshell memoir "If You Would Have Told Me." From General Hospital to Full House, getting a handie under the table at Le Dome to getting a DUI on the way to Spago, this is one wild, extremely PG-13-rated journey with America's hottest uncle. RIP Bob Saget.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Love is in the air - and maybe a little too much - for our newest recap where Uncle Jesse finds a new love interest at Danny's workplace. Jodie & Andrea analyze a possible love addiction, and try to figure out in what world giving a random baby a tummy raspberry is acceptable. What special relationship did Andrea have with this week's guest star? How did they manage to get so many actors at the dinner table? And did Full House unknowingly create the F Boy? These questions get answered, and then more get asked, on the newest How Rude, Tanneritos!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Uncle Jesse is continuing the recent trend of celebrity memoirs and getting vulnerable. In John Stamos's new book, “If You Would Have Told Me,” which drops on Tuesday, the “Full House” star opens up about the rough road to sobriety, his “shattering” divorce from first wife, Rebecca Romijn, and some terrible abuse he suffered as a young boy. We always love when a celeb is brave enough to open up and get real.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Yes, Danny Tanner was only 29 when Full House started, which should make you feel ancient! But it's still time to celebrate with a surprise party, even though Uncle Jesse has completely destroyed a car and and no one cares if he's injured. Can you park a vehicle in the Tanner backyard? Absolutely. How? No one knows.Jodie & Andrea get into this, and belly dancer math, on the newest How Rude, Tanneritos!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Today we're joined by pastor and author Levi Lusko to talk about the loneliness epidemic facing our generation. Not only what the Church can do about it, but what we can do, too. Plus, the cast — which now includes Social Club Misfit's Marty — brings the week's slices, and we close the show with a listener-requested Storytime with Uncle Jesse segment. Presented by Holley! BIG NEWS: MOPARTY is next week. We'll be there and you should be too! Unfortunately, as announced in this show, due to no fault of James Smith there will no long be a General Lee jump or stunt show at the event. All other activities are on as planned, however. https://moparty.com. We will see you there! The Dukes of Hazzard - at the absolute height of it's popularity and power bring us a double length episode featuring a plethora of terribly painted General Lee's, a seriously annoying manipulative woman, Dukes fighting Dukes, and a lesson on parenting only Uncle Jesse could give. The Dukes go see a Joe Chitwood stunt show. (It's not called that in the show directly for marketing reasons, but that's what it is.) The show is run by it's second generation owner Diane, a woman who will cuddle up to any man who be be her star attraction driver. When the most recent guy nearly gets killed she suckers Bo into being the next man in. Luke sees through it, Bo gets hot headed and punches everyone in the way, and Uncle Jesse is left to guide a situation he cannot stop, but must direct before his family explodes. Boss and the lead carnival guy both try to kill the General Lee in the process and fail, but the General does what he does best; gives his boys a fighting chance to win the day…and they do by making the 32 car jump. BIG NEWS: The fall events at Holley are just around the corner and Holley MOPARTY is less than 60 days away. We'll be there and you should be too! We are ONCE AGAIN the media partner for the General Lee jump, too! Visit this website RIGHT NOW to get details and tickets: https://moparty.com. We will see you there! K&F Show Summary: Finally - the political Dukes episode we've been waiting for! Kinda. If there was an episode that could combine Nathan Warren with Ben Jones portraying Cooter, this would be it. Cooter - with God's blessed skills - steals President Jimmy Carter's car.Bo and Luke get him out of it, but not before using their smoking hot cousin to position herself as a faux-prostitute to distract the bad guys. Who are the bad guys in this one you ask? Boss Hogg - who has a car theft and chop shop ring. And Boss thinks his guys stole the car and wants it recovered to meet Jimmy Carter personally, but in the end it's Uncle Jesse that gets the call of thanks from the Oval Office. And before the episode is over we will once and for all know whether Boss and Uncle Jesse are Republicans or Democrats. The 2024 Presidential race had nothing on this! 9 Dogs. Just visit Holley.com to peruse and view for yourself and be SURE to tell them that we sent you! K&F Show Summary: This one is a WINNER! You can summarize this episode with this: “Come on General, Get it Up!” The Dukes, Rosco, Daisy, Uncle Jesse, a substitute Cooter, a grandmother, and a random Playboy Playmate of the month all work together to keep Boss Hogg from being murdered. The bad guys get some engraving plates - made by starving artist Granny Annie - so that they can counterfeit $5 bills. Granny accidentally pays Bo and Luke with phony money, they get busted for it, Boss Hogg gets the plates from Granny, Bo and Luke steal them back, they save his life, the end. Also in this episode....some wicked door impacts on the General Lee and the record setting 230-foot long Oxnard train jump by Al Wyatt. If that's not enough, the episode begins - yes - BEGINS with the Oak Ridge Boys doing some lip syncing like lips have never been synced before. And then James Best puts on an acting clinic that leaves the show telling the moral if always helping a friend in need, not matter what they've done to you. Put it all together and you have a tidy little episode. 10 Dogs.
