Die argentinischen Comics des Szenaristen Héctor Oesterheld sind Klassiker des 20. Jahrhunderts - nicht zuletzt, weil er mit dem Comic "Eternauta" die Schrecken der Militärdiktatur vorweggenommen hat, in der er selbst ermordet wurde. Zusammen mit dem Zeichner Alberto Breccia hat Oesterheld in den 60er Jahren auch die Comicserie "Mort Cinder" entwickelt, die nun erstmals als deutsche Gesamtausgabe erschienen ist. Und die ist in jeder Hinsicht so herausragend, dass sie der rbbKultur-Comic des Monats ist. Andrea Heinze stellt "Mort Cinder" vor.

Written by Hector German Oesterheld with art by Alberto Breccia this is a book of haunting and brilliantly imagined art and writing. Who is Mort Cinder? Hrabia Dracula przybierał wiele twarzy - bywał symbolem terroru, bywał nieporadnym pechowcem, walczył z Batmanem i Billym Kidem, był bohaterem filmu blaxploitation i animowanym kaczorem... Przy całym tym bogactwie Alberto Breccia zdołał jednak stworzyć komiks wyjątkowy, zachwycający od strony graficznej i intrygujący pod względem treści, a więcej na jego temat dowiecie się z kolejnego odcinka podcastu Nightslime.W Polsce ukazały się już "Mort Cinder", "Mity Cthulhu" na bazie prozy H.P. Lovecrafta i monumentalny "Perramus", mogłoby się więc wydawać, że Breccia dał się doskonale poznać tutejszej publiczności, ale w "Draculi" zaskakuje odmiennymi technikami, użyciem koloru i zrezygnowaniem z użycia dialogów.
