Faith is a very important part of the Christian walk, and  a subject addressed often during Jesus' ministry on earth. One of the most well-known examples of this occurred when He and His disciples were sailing. While Jesus slept, their boat was struck by a raging storm. His disciples woke Him,  fearful for their lives. As Jesus roused Himself, He did not confront them on their lack of courage, but on their lack of faith. In this week's message, Nate Danser discusses the importance of guarding our faith and shows us how we can strengthen it.

In this message, Steve Gallagher and Nate Danser give their thoughts on the well-known story of a sinful woman anointing Jesus's feet found in Luke Chapter 7. Both this woman and a Pharisee, Simon the Leper, encountered Jesus in a profound way in that story. But each of their attitudes towards Him differed drastically. Their hearts reflect our own responses to God, and challenge us to examine what we are like when we come to Jesus.

In this sermon, Nate Danser delivers the third, and final, message on The Sermon on the Mount. He begins by looking at the sermon as a whole, showing how its purpose is to reveal the true righteousness that defines God's Kingdom. Nate then moves on to point out how that purpose is brought to a conclusion in Matthew Chapter 7. We learn that Jesus is very concerned with how we respond to what he's spoken and is unafraid to share with us the consequences of failing to respond correctly. Yet even in this heavy truth, we find that Christ is eager to help us!

In the beginning, man lived in unbroken fellowship with God. But when sin entered the world, that relationship broke apart. Despite this separation, God still desired to be with us, and He knew that we needed Him with us. So, he began a long campaign to restore that fellowship. God's greatest step in drawing near to us came through Jesus Christ. Nate Danser helps us see this mission of God, beginning with Noah and culminating in Jesus. He also shows how our lives are completely changed when we allow Him to be with us.

Division seems to blanket our nation and our world in general, yet the Bible teaches us that beyond those apparent conflicts lies a powerful force uniting unredeemed mankind. It is a love for the world. What does it mean to love the world? It's important any sincere Christian can answer that question, and Nate Danser sheds some light on that in this message and provides us with a remedy that will root that love right out of our hearts.

In the Parable of the Sower, Jesus spoke of four different types of soil, which each represent different ways we can hear, and respond, to the Word of God. Nate Danser examines for us the characteristics of each of these soils and helps us to see the danger of hearing the Word of God incorrectly. He shows us that it's what our lives produce that proves whether or not we are hearing the Word in a way that will truly impact our lives.

Our modern culture breeds a disposition of cynicism and skepticism into us that makes us leery of allowing others to speak truth into our lives. But this attitude can be especially dangerous, because it sets us up to be unbelieving in our spiritual lives. Jesus Himself told us that one of the Holy Spirit's works would be to convince us of the truth. In this message, Nate Danser looks at six truths we must allow the Spirit to make real to us, and leaves us with the question, “Are you convinced?”

When we look into God's word, we see many different characteristics that mark the life of a true believer walking in close communion with a Holy God. One of those characteristics is righteousness. But how is it that we as sinful humans can come to live a truly righteous life? In this message, Nate Danser reveals God's real and very personal answer to this conflict.

One of the fundamental characteristics of God is that He is a God of forgiveness. Where would we as fallen humans be if He wasn't like that? And shouldn't this same attribute be defining our lives if we call ourselves His children? The curse of being human is that we are born into a living death. If this curse isn't decisively dealt with, we will be bound to die eternally. In this message, Nate Danser shows us what God has done to break the curse of living death and make it possible for us to have true life in Him.

On Judgment Day, God will examine every one of our lives. He will be looking for one thing. Was there evidence that we were united to Him by faith? Multitudes are deceived into believing that church attendance and a decent life is sufficient evidence that they truly believed. In this message, Nate Danser exhorts the men at the Pure Life Residential Program to examine their faith, and exhorts them to never be satisfied with anything less than receiving the life that God offers through a living faith.

When trials and difficulties test us, we are all faced with this question: Do I have what it takes to make it through this trial? For the Christian, if we know where to look for strength, we will have everything that we need. In this message, Nate Danser talks about why seeing Jesus in our trials is the key to having what we need to endure.

In Isaiah 30, God reproved the Israelites because they handled the consequences of their sin in a way that displeased Him. In today's self-help culture, we also need to examine our lives. Have we dealt with sin God's way, or have our attempts to change only added to our guilt? In this message, Nate Danser shows that there is a divinely ordained path out of sin, and exalts the gracious God who invites us into a truly restored life.

The Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Satan constantly battle for the souls of men, but man has great difficulty in discerning the difference between these two invisible kingdoms. From the time that He walked this earth, man has struggled to grasp that Jesus, the cornerstone of God’s Kingdom, came to change the internal workings of His people, not the external. In this message, Nate Danser describes those who truly live in the Kingdom of God and allow Him to change their inside world. Nate also exposes the unwillingness of men to live by faith who instead prefer to live by external traditions and religious appearances.

The Christian’s hope is eternal life. But is eternal life simply about living forever? If so, why does Paul exhort his friend Timothy to “Take hold of eternal life?” In this message, Nate Danser implores us to seek a deeper experience of eternal life, so that we might live a life worthy to be called "christian."

The living God longs to reveal his mercy to us. But as Nate Danser challenges us in this message, if we want to discover who God really is, we will have to take a serious look at our priorities. Are we overwhelmed by the Lord's love and compelled to respond by giving him our lives? If not, now is the time to seek the Lord!

As a Father, God has a deep and devoted love for His children which compels Him to shower them with blessings. One of these blessings is discipline and correction so that they will become more like Christ. In this message, Nate Danser offers some thoughts about why God's children need this discipline, and how they can properly respond to it.
