Marco Silva’s first competitive game at Goodison Park ended in victory as goals from Theo Walcott and Richarlison were enough to earn the Toffees all three points. Heading into Goodison you could feel a real buzz around the place. Everton striker Oumar Niasse has become the first Premier League player to be charged by the Football Association for (quote) "successful deception of a match official". He won a controversial penalty in the Toffees 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace on Saturday. Recently introduced laws mean that he’s been charged retrospectively and will now serve a 2 game ban – pending the players right to appeal until 6pm today.
