Hello Colorado Rapids fans. This is another episode in our Memories From Toronto series, where we interview people from the 2010 Colorado Rapids. There's still several of these interviews waiting to be released. I've got a few soccer new resolutions for 2026, and sharing these with you is one of them. On this episode, I speak with Steve Guppy, the top assistant coach under Gary Smith. Steve grew up in Winchester, north of Southampton in England. Played for more than a decade in the Football league. From 1990-92, he and Gary Smith were teammates at Wycombe Wanderers. Spent three years at Celtic, winning the Scottish Premiership. In the later half of his playing career, he played for D.C. United and Rochester Rhinos. In 2008, Gary Smith got hired at Colorado Rapids. He recruited his former Wycombe teammate into retirement to start his coaching career. Guppy discusses that season, his affinity for creative wide players that led to the acquisition of Mac Kandji, and the fallout from the 2011 season. For those who listened to the Jeff Plush and Paul Bravo episodes, Guppy gives his and Smith's side of those relationships and the ultimate parting of ways. The Town round off 2025 with back-to-back home matches against Wycombe Wanderers on Boxing Day and Leyton Orient on the following Monday.  With little time between the two games, Kev is joined by The Lutonian journalist James Cunliffe to look ahead to both matches with more of an emphasis on the Wycombe game in light of the fact Leyton Orient were only recently our opponents.  The boys discuss a returning individual, Boxing Day recent history and what they want to see from the Town as well as how we can get some joy out of both matches.  All this and plenty more, including the score predictions for both games, on the longest-running, award-winning Luton Town podcast!

One is relatively non-existent in the case of Bernd Leno, and that's simply because the German is going about his business in West London - just like he has done in the 126 consecutive appearances made for the club since he signed in the summer of 2022. The other surrounds Tottenham stopper, Guglielmo Vicario. Despite an xGA of 2.3, it seems fans and pundits alike are losing patience with the Italian, who conceded three at the hands of Nottingham Forest at the weekend. Fair judgement? We discuss. In the EFL, Carl Rushworth is making waves on what is his sixth loan away from Brighton (a club he's still yet to make a competitive outing for) and Sol Brynn's sounds the Goalkeeper Assist klaxon for his part in Middlesbrough's comfortable 3-1 victory over QPR. Finally, a shout out to Shamal George for grabbing a Scottish League Cup Winners medal after St Mirren - a club he's on loan to from Wycombe - defied the odds to beat Celtic at Hampden Park.

Running out of things to say, really. Slightly improved, yes. But the result is sadly, awfully, terribly predictable. Archie, Chris and Mark do their best to think of some original light to shine into the December gloom.Part One, the game. A bright start followed by a slow decline but some positives and some experienced heads did give some temporary hope that midweek cup success may have provided a platform. Instead, a soft penalty (we would absolutely have wanted it given for us) and very little else condemns us to a fourth consecutive home defeat. Should the youth players get more of a chance? Should we at least try to win?Part Two tries to zoom out a little. Relegation seems ever more possible but a few quick wins and the division is tight enough that it could all be okay. Or doomed by February. And a well constructed, well received Chairman's Chat at risk of being undermined by actions and words on and off the field.What could be better than a trip to Wycombe next?
