Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Jason McGovern, Adam Osper and Marlon as A game full of drama and goals saw us suffer our first loss in this season's UEFA Champions League as holders Paris Saint-Germain inflicted a 5-3 defeat on us on Wednesday night. On-loan Randal Kolo Muani scored twice against his parent club – his first Spurs goals – and Richarlison netted for the third successive game as we took the game to the French champions, but they took control in the second half with Vitinha completing a hat-trick and further goals from Fabian Ruiz and Willian Pacho. We were level at the break at 1-1, Richarlison and Vitinha scoring for each side, before six goals in a crazy 30-minute spell in the second half moved the home side 5-3 ahead. There was even a red card in stoppage time, Lucas Hernandez seeing red for an elbow into the face of Xavi Simons, but by that stage the points were in the bag for PSG. We get into the man for man press, what it says about Thomas Frank, and why Fulham at home has to be the moment he leans into the younger, more technical midfield. We chat Richarlison's mini resurrection, Kolo Muani looking like a real talisman, and the general disillusionment a lot of us feel with modern football and Spurs post Poch. We finish on the Lewis family, how serious they really are, and what proper ambition in the market needs to look like if we are ever going to move from the bottom of the big six to the top. On this week's episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, Pete, Chris and Sids sit down with Joe Cole, former England international, Premier League winner and Champions League finalist, to dive into the untold stories behind his new book Luxury Player. The lads get stuck into Joe's early rise as a teenage sensation, the madness of being splashed across the papers at 15, and how fame shaped him long before he stepped onto a Premier League pitch. Joe opens up about the pressure, the jealousy, the misconceptions, and how he found his way through it.The conversation also takes us inside Chelsea during the Mourinho revolution — the moment Joe realised everything had changed, what training was really like under Jose, and how that era set the foundations for years of dominance. There's plenty of England nostalgia too: World Cups, quarter-finals, dressing room pranks, and the gut-punch reality of injuries cutting short international dreams. It's honest, funny, nostalgic and full of elite-level insight — a proper football chat with one of the game's most naturally gifted players. Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Broadcasters Russ Williams, Marcus Buckland and Jonathan Hamme as the north London derby ended in defeat on a disappointing afternoon at the Emirates. Everton go into another international break on the back of a win. And it felt like a big one at Hill Dickinson Stadium. We start by looking at Thierno Barry's performance. The forward felt the love after his best display in an Everton shirt - was a conscious effort made to rally around him after his miss at Sunderland? We also assess the changes Moyes made to the team and whether they are short-term or long-term solutions. With that in mind, our last topic is transfer-related. Would an experienced striker like Richarlison or Ivan Toney make sense in January? Or should Everton keep their powder dry until the summer? Jack is joined by Oly to reflect on Tottenham's weekend performance against Manchester United. They discuss Randal Kolo Muani's frustrating injury just as he was starting to find form, and ask whether Richarlison's time at Spurs should finally be up despite his goal. With fans calling for academy striker Dane Scarlett to be given a real chance, the pair debate whether it's time to throw him in and see if he's truly cut out for the Premier League. The conversation then turns to Thomas Frank. Is he really the right man to lead this project forward, or have we already seen enough to suggest that he quite simply isn't up to it? What a strange/frustrating/exhilarating match at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium. Two teams who aren't quite sure of how good or bad they are, played out a game that answered little for either set of fans. Just as Richarlison thought he had won it (after a terrible performance from the Brazilian) De Ligt came back and notched an equaliser, which was probably fair on the balance of play. Frank's starting XI and subs have definitely raised a few eyebrows, but at least it wasn't a loss going into the international break. Learn more about your ad choices. Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Marlon, Vass and Jim as an excellent fightback saw us come from two goals down to pick up a battling point on the south coast on Saturday afternoon. Despite a good showing in the first period at Brighton's Amex Stadium, we found ourselves trailing 2-0 just before half-time after Yankuba Minteh raced clear to open the scoring early on and Yasin Ayari's screamer doubled the Seagulls' advantage. But we gave ourselves a lifeline in the 43rd minute when Richarlison finished from close range for his third goal of the campaign and finally levelled it up after a dominant second period, Jan Paul Van Hecke putting through his own net with eight minutes left. The result maintains our solid start to the new campaign, just the one defeat in our opening five Premier League matches and only three goals conceded. Spurs Beat West Ham in a rounded performance that will put many Spurs fans minds at rest. Not just because of 3 points, but also because Spurs seem to finally have a bench and squad depth that keeps them in touch with the teams they've typically chased. Even with no Kulusevski, Maddison and Solanke. Spurs still had options includig Richarlison, Bentancur, Danso, Udogie and Johnson to call upon. Xavi Simons appears to be the player Spurs have been craving and Bergvall continues to kick on. #TottenhamNews #SpursNews Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
We've started the season with a bang under Thomas Frank, beating Manchester City and showing the kind of tactical adaptability we've been crying out for. Mohammed Kudus and João Palhinha look like inspired signings, Richarlison is thriving, and for the first time in a while, we're genuinely excited to watch Spurs. But alongside that optimism is the familiar frustration with transfers. We came close to landing Eberechi Eze only for the deal to collapse, leaving us short of creativity with Maddison and Kulusevski sidelined. Joining us to make sense of it all is Dan Kilpatrick, Tottenham correspondent for The Athletic. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Broadcaster/Presenter Marcus Buckland, Jonathan Hamme and Marlon as a double from Richarlison – including a stunning bicycle kick – gave us a dream start to the new Premier League season as Head Coach Thomas Frank opened with a convincing 3-0 victory over Burnley on Saturday afternoon. The Brazilian forward, whose Spurs career has been blighted by injuries, looked fresh and sharp leading the line at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, opening the scoring with a smart finish in the first half before producing a moment of pure magic to make it 2-0 after the break. Burnley, managed by former Spur Scott Parker and featuring ex-players Kyle Walker and Marcus Edwards, had half-chances at 1-0 but couldn't make them count and instead, we bossed the second period with our Bilbao hero Brennan Johnson wrapping up the points with our third. We also discuss the latest developments during this summer transfer window including Spurs' pursuit of Eberechi Eze. Nominate Last Word On Spurs for Best Podcast - Premier League at the
