Sam Carroll is joined by Adam Jones and Dave Prentice to analyse who is in the running to succeed the Italian after he returned to Real Madrid on Tuesday. Dave insists David Moyes and Eddie Howe are not viable candidates in the Everton boardroom while left-field options - such as Claudio Ranieri and Maurizio Sarri - are also considered. The trio also react to Everton confirming their retained list at the end of the season as Josh King was released without starting a game, and Yannick Bolasie and Muhamed Besic said goodbye after difficult Goodison Park spells. There is also time for a first ever game of Everton New Manager Bingo - complete with live theme tune! Enjoy.

Episode 55 Understanding the behaviours of elite athletes. Dan Abrahams has an impressive resume. He has worked with Eddie Howe at Bournemouth, Eddie Jones at England Rugby, as well as providing sports psychology services to footballers including Richard Keogh, and Yannick Bolasie. His career as a sports psychologist stemmed from his time as a professional golfer. The solitude of an individual sport allowed him a unique insight into the thinking required to become an elite athlete. Since that time, Dan has gone on to become one of the most renowned sports psychologists working in professional sport. Here at Man Marking, we had long wished to speak to a sports psychologist. The position, whilst commonly accepted as an integral part of modern day sporting environments, is still one that is shrouded in mystery to most fans. We were curious to find out what exactly a sports psychologist did, how much of an impact they could have on a sportsperson or a team, and how their work improving mental performance crossed over with mental wellbeing. We couldn't have chosen a better person to speak to than Dan. Not only extremely well qualified, and with a broad range of experiences in various sporting environments, Dan has an ability to articulate the knowledge he has acquired in his field into terms a layperson can easily understand. So grab yourself a seat, plug in, and enjoy, we promise you won't be disappointed. It's never dull at Goodison and, as ever, the Royal Blue podcast team have plenty to get through in his episode. Pickford's form - and his future - is up for discussion with host Phil Kirkbride joined by Dave Prentice and Gav Buckland. There is some disagreement over Carlo Ancelotti's tactics in the game, with one saying the Blues boss used his experience well, with another saying he made mistakes. Off the pitch, Cenk Tosun looks like he's going, Bernard could be going but Yannick Bolasie has gone. The panel look back at the Goodison career of Bolasie and debate the impact of the serious knee injury he suffered early in his first season. Plus there are the customary predictions as Everton welcome Newcastle United to Goodison. Enjoy.

It's been another hectic week for Everton! The Blues continued their brilliant start to the season with a win over West Ham to progress to the quarter-final of the Carabao Cup, while the club's women's side booked their place in the Women's FA Cup final with a win over Birmingham City! Phil Kirkbride is joined by Dave Prentice, Gav Buckland, Sam Carroll and Adam Jones to look back on those performances and the injuries to Allan and Richarlison in particular that might cause some debate ahead of the visit of Brighton this weekend. Of course, there is the matter of transfer rumours to discuss as well with a deal for Ben Godfrey edging closer, while Yannick Bolasie's future was also part of the conversation. Another lively podcast to round off a similarly busy week for the Blues! Enjoy.
On this week's podcast Baz speaks to Everton winger Yannick Bolasie about his time at the club and his hopes for the future.
The agenda for today's Royal Blue podcast includes Yerry Mina, Fabian Delph, the visit of Leicester City, Yannick Bolasie and Jonjoe Kenny. Host Phil Kirkbride is joined by Adam Jones and Sam Carroll to preview Wednesday night's game at Goodison plus discuss what Carlo Ancelotti said at this pre-match press conference, as well as all the other Blues news. Ancelotti confirmed that Mina is fit again and will be in the squad to face Leicester while Djibril Sidibe will return to training on Friday and Theo Walcott next week. But Delph remains injured and the panel talk about their frustrations over a stop-start first season at Everton for the midfielder. Confidence is high for another Everton win as the panel point to Leicester's packed start, which has only seen them draw two of their opening three league and cup games. Bolasie is also talking in a confident mood today, declaring his intention to return to Everton in pre-season and fight for his place, but the panel don't share the winger's optimism. Yet, there is greater hope that on the back of a successful season on loan at Schalke, Kenny has done enough to force his way into Ancelotti's thinking. Enjoy.

Within barely the space of a week, Aston Villa go from 100% to unbeaten to winless, despite improving their overall footballing style. Once again, last minute goals determine their results. While it's been three draws in a row, help is at hand, with two new recruits in Yannick Bolasie and Anwar El Ghazi, who hopefully will bring more cutting edge to the team to aid its the promotion goal.My Old Man Said editor and host David Michael is joined by both Dan Rodgers and Chris Budd to discuss the ever expanding Villa-verse, as Villa make hard-work of a relatively favourable early fixture list. There's the trials and tribulations of failing to beat a 10-men Ipswich and almost losing against Brentford, after bossing the Bees for most of the game, but only rescuing the game in the dying seconds. With Ryan rejoining MikeP in the studio for the GW8 preview, there are plenty of laughs, but somehow the boys stumble into a lot of fantasy content too. Liverpool v United gets a nod, but there's an in-depth discussion of Leicester's fantasy depth, the likelihood that Everton bounce back with lighter fixtures & when to pick up Yannick Bolasie.
