Episode 265, FULL SHOW -- Unfortunately for the Nats as of late, things haven't quite been about wins and losses as the season has gotten away from them amid injuries and trades. But the two biggest storylines in recent weeks revolve around two of the cornerstones of the franchise at the moment. One of those is CJ Abrams and the recent announcement that he will be converting to Second Base at some point for the remainder of the season. Tobi Altizer discusses why the Nats chose to make this move at this time and why it may have been an inevitable career path after his struggles in the field at Shortstop. And hear from Spencer Nusbaum of The Athletic, who wrote more on the discussion revolving around the move for Abrams. Then, Tobi dives into the other big storyline, which is the continued breakout season for SP Cade Cavalli, who dazzled once again on the mound versus the Rangers this week. Hear from Nats Pitching Coach Simon Mathews on Cade Cavalli's demeanor and what makes him the Ace that he is becoming.

This week we're embracing the arrival of spring in the garden. RHS horticultural advisor Jenny Bowden applies a right plant, right place approach in her sandy, drought-prone garden in southeast England. Embracing experimentation, she's creating a resilient, low-maintenance space that shows even challenging conditions can thrive. We'll also be celebrating the breathtaking displays of blossom unfolding across the UK right now, as RHS expert Jonathan Newell joins us to explore the rich variety of flowering trees and shrubs in bloom, and what makes this time of year so special for gardeners and nature lovers alike. And to round things off, our resident veg growing affionado Liz Mooney returns with another allotment favourite: this time turning her attention to cucumbers.
