Available in the public domain on archives.org, and also on YouTube (see below for links), Father Kubicki leads you through an examination of your day. Using the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius as a guide, Father Kubicki helps you see how God was present throughout the day, and what you did or didn't do. This method of Consciousness Examen is an oral presentation by Fr. James Kubicki, SJ, that supports Chapter 18 "Consciousness Examen" by Fr. George Aschenbrenner, SJ, in a book co-edited by Bishop Cozzens and Bishop Estévez entitled Spiritual Husbands-Spiritual Fathers: Priestly Formation for the 21st Century.https://archive.org/details/Fr.JamesKubicki_S.J.EveningReviewhttps://youtu.be/dyfEc2JasfwStatement from OurMedia host of this resource: The Ourmedia project was started by members of the creative and technology communities in the summer of 2004 as a way of advancing the spread of personal media. Today's episode is with Jodie Jackson. Jodie is an author, researcher and campaigner. She holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Positive Psychology from the University of East London (UK), where she investigated the psychological impact of the news. As she discovered evidence of the beneficial effects of solutions-focused news on our wellbeing, she grew convinced of the need to spread consumer awareness. She is a regular speaker at media conferences and universities. Her new book is You Are What You Read: Why Changing Your Media Diet Can Change the World and the main idea behind her book is that we need to get back to the original intention of news — to inform, educate, and empower, not to entertain. Today’s news is delivered to hook us into drama and problems with no solutions. But solutions are critical to a more balanced, healthier news diet. It’s time to wake up and became deliberate about how we consume the news. Our wide ranging conversation cover the following:Why the news industry feeds us a steady diet of bad news — and why we can change it.How paying for news helps enable news organizations to gain independence. How to burst our filter bubble and gain a fully dimensional view of the world. Why the news has such a negative impact on our individual and collective health. How to tap into the power of solutions-based journalism. How we can consume news that gives us hope and empowers us to act. Quite a few people have asked me about how I create TILT episodes. Some want to have their students create their own vidcasts/vodcasts/videoblogs/screencasts and some are interested in creating their own, either for their students, their staff, or for the blogosphere. In this episode, I'll show you how I create these video episodes for FREE. If/when you decide to 'take the plunge' with this type of thing, drop me an email so I can check it out!BloggerWordpressWindows Media Encoder (Free Windows Screen Recorder)Snapz Pro X (Apple Screen Recorder)*UPDATE* iShowU - Another highly-rated Mac Screen RecorderOurMediaFeedBurnerLarge Google Video VersionRight-click to download:MPEG-4 (320 x 240, 47 MB)Windows Media (640 x 480, 65 MB)
Well, I have a new host. Unfortunately, I can only get a grand total of six shows or so before I run out of storage. If anyone has any good places for free audio hosting besides OurMedia, podomatic, and switchpod, let me know.Anyways, AttacktiCast #3 is FINALLY up. This was recorded on Wednesday with a minor edit done Friday morning, so I'm behind as far as "Attacktix News" goes. This episode contains my first ever Listener Feedback segment as well as Attacktix News. My main discussion brings closure to my "anti-minor character" views, the figure review is of S2 Starter Set Obi-Wan Kenobi, and the team review is of my "Jedi Council team.AttacktiCast #3EDIT: I changed the host, so downloads should be better.
