Top 5 moments in the Penguins-Flyers rivalry. Steelers insider Nick Farabaugh from Penn Live dot com joined the show. Nick was confused for Donny the other night at the Pirates game. Nick said it's a limited pool of players that fit into the typical formula requirements leading up to the draft. Nick thinks it's more likely that Omar Cooper Jr. is the name called at 21 less than a week away from the 1st round. Nick still believes WR is the position they will go with because it's a group that features about 6 guys that have 1st round grades. Nick could see Makai Lemon sliding a little bit next Thursday, but it would still require a trade up. He thinks the Steelers moving up the board in the 2nd round is very likely. Nick pointed to the 99th overall pick as one the Steelers could use as a chess piece next week, unless they decided to draft a QB with that selection. Nick said the gap between Ty Simpson and the QB3 of this class is massive and he wouldn't be surprised if the rest of that crew falls to the 4th round. He said Drew Allar and Carson Beck have gotten so much consistent interest from the organization. Former Pirates pitcher AJ Burnett joined the show. AJ gave Chris some advice ahead of his first pitch tonight. The guys joked with AJ about the time he hit a truck driving behind home plate during his warmup. AJ said to throw at the body, not the glove. AJ said he was honored to take part in the city connect announcement last week and to be part of this game tonight. AJ described this Pirates team as a set of grinders that have done the little things to get the job done. AJ predicted a Konnor Griffin home run tonight and can't get over the size of the 19-year-old. AJ talked about how much his connection to the city of Pittsburgh means and the perfect fit it was way back when. He loves that he was part of the team that got the Pirates back to the playoffs for this city. AJ had advice for the young pitchers on the staff and how they can become the best version of themselves. AJ was pumped to see a lot of these guys in the spring when he sent a few days at the facility. He gave a breakdown of Bubba Chandler, who will start for the Buccos tonight.

Penguins Captain Sidney Crosby joins Mark on the show ahead of Pens Flyers in the playoffs
Hour 1 with Bob Pompeani: This is the highest-scoring Penguins team in the Sidney Crosby era. TK said that Philly wants to make this a hard game because Philadelphia is not as talented. They need to slow the Penguins down. TK thinks the Penguins need to keep it simple. What does Tyler think the Penguins are going to do in the first round against Philly?
Tyler Kennedy said Columbus head coach Rick Bowness should have called out his team 10 games ago instead of after the last game of the year. TK thinks he was putting his own interests at the top. TK thinks Bowness must not talk to players in the locker room with that authority. Stuart Skinner is the most important player in this series. PLAYOFF PREVIEW.

We finally know the time for Game 1 of Penguins-Flyers. It will be Saturday night at 8 pm. It's been a magical season for the Pens. What happens if that comes to an end in the first round? The guys think it's a failure of a season if that's how things go down. Is that fair, given how surprising this whole campaign has been? There is a fear that the Flyers will go after Sidney Crosby, but that's what we should expect.

There is a fear that the Flyers will go after Sidney Crosby, but that's what we should expect. Kyle Dubas can pat himself on the back for a few things this season, but perhaps nothing more than the hiring of Dan Muse. Would people see the season as a failure if the Penguins don't make a playoff run? Steelers insider Ray Fittipaldo from the PG joined the show. We are one week away from the NFL Draft. Will the Steelers select a QB at some point next weekend? Ray thinks Carson Beck is the name they will call because the Steelers, and Mike McCarthy, have a type – they want a bigger bodied guy. Ray thinks there are 5-6 guys in consideration to be the Steelers pick next Thursday night. Ray pointed out that after the middle of the 1st round, things could get a little messy with the board. Is there a chance the Steelers trade back in the opening round to acquire more capital, even though they already have a dozen choices to make? Ray expects Mason Rudolph to be the odd-man-out if the team does select a QB in this draft. The guys don't understand why there are links to so many corners in this group. Is Aaron Rodgers coming back, because it doesn't seem like current Steelers are skeptical?

Penguins and Flyers is officially set for the opening round of the NHL playoffs. It's been 4 seasons since we have seen the Pens make it to the postseason and we get the battle of Pennsylvania off the bat. Do we still hate the Flyers? Is it more about hating their fans? They don't have guys like Scott Hartnell or Claude Giroux or Daniel Briere anymore. How do we feel about this matchup? Chris thinks the Penguins will take the series in 5 or 6 games and that idea worries Poni – because nobody out there is willing to pick the Flyers. Will Sidney Crosby continue his dominance over the team in Philadelphia? Poni said he can't say a bad word about Rick Tocchet because he once invited him to a Stanley Cup party. We heard Rick Tocchet make a few comments on how he feels about playing the Penguins in the playoffs as the opposing coach. It all comes down to Game 82 for Elmer Soderblom to score his 5th goal with the team. Is he going to get it done for Donny? The schedule for this series could be wonky since the Flyers and 76ers share an arena and both teams are in the playoffs at the same time. PM Team Sports Court w/ our friends from Edgar Snyder & Associates. The guys noticed that Nick and Chris had the same shirt on today. Would Nick make the trip to Philly for a Pens-Flyers playoff game? Nick believes Oneil Cruz is bound for an All Star nod given his start to 2026. Is the Stanley Cup the best title in sports and are the NHL playoffs the best in sports? Nick said Mullsy is going to throw a strike on Friday night at PNC Park.

2 points away from a playoff spot are the Penguins as they travel to New Jersey for a 7 pm puck drop tomorrow night. It is looking more and more likely that the Penguins are going to meet the Flyers in the first round. Poni is afraid of that matchup – Chris is all for it. Poni wants to see a matchup with Columbus to start things out because he doesn't feel like the Penguins can beat the Flyers right now. Chris puts a win in the series around 70%. ALL ACCESS w/ Aditi – Aditi said she is ‘at a loss for words' in regards to the deal not being done between the Steelers and Aaron Rodgers. She doesn't understand a team being at the mercy of someone else's timeline, especially when that person is a 40+ year-old QB. Aditi doesn't think the Mike McCarthy hire was built on the fact that it would lead to a likely Rodgers return, but more about his acumen with quarterbacks. Aditi reiterated what she heard from members in the Steelers facility after the season regarding the ‘miniscule' chance of Rodgers coming back. She noted that his appearance on The Pat McAfee Show changed her mind to a degree, since he has said again and again that he will disappear once he's done. Aditi said no matter how the Steelers spin it, when you rely on a 42-year-old quarterback, it's about this year, and this year only. Former Penguin Tyler Kennedy joined the show. TK thinks Sergey Murashov should be the man in net in a game or two of these final three. The Penguins are traveling all 3 goaltenders to New Jersey for the game tomorrow night. Tyler said it's not an exact science, but we have seen teams call up young goalies late in the season that have paid off in the playoffs. How much can you trust Stuart Skinner in a postseason run? Which teams are favorable matchups for the Penguins in the first round? TK is afraid of seeing the Flyers in the playoffs because of how they have played down the stretch. Is Elmer Soderblom coming out of the lineup despite 3 goals in his last 5 games?

Former Penguin Tyler Kennedy joined the show. TK talked about the hate that was there when he would play the Flyers as a member of the Penguins. He said he always looked forward to playing Philly, home or road. Tyler said he chirped Max Talbot a few times when he went from the Pens to the Flyers. TK talked about other former Penguins that later played for the Flyers, like Jaromir Jagr, and how his contract played into that. The guys asked Tyler about the angry streak we sometimes see in Evgeni Malkin and how he showed a little bit of that the other night.
Hour 1: Is Mason Rudolph getting another raw deal? The depth chart snafu is still weird to the guys and is there a reason the team has kept Kenny Pickett as QB1? Is there belief that they know Rudolph won't be here next season and that's why he is still listed as the backup? Chris posed a Mason Rudolph and Kenny Pickett hypothetical. How far away are the Steelers from giving up on Pickett? Former Penguin Tyler Kennedy joined the show. Happy Friday! Hunter continues the season grades/reviews for this episode by touching on Marcus Pettersson's season. Was this one of his best seasons to date? How did his numbers stack up to some of the other defensemen? Hunter also looks at if his offense can break through next season, especially after seeing a tease of what he could do during the late stages of this past season. Finally, could he be used as trade bait? Is his contract a problem? Hunter dives into those questions before getting to Teena Murray being named the VP of Integrated Performance. What does this mean going forward? Could she help figure out why the Penguins are always one of the league's most injured teams? He also gets into a couple of other topics surrounding that hire, plus ends the show with John Tortorella going to Philly.
