O diplomata Eduardo Gradilone, ex-embaixador do Brasil no Irã e vice-presidente do Instituto de Relações Internacionais e Comércio Exterior (Irice), disse nesta terça-feira, em entrevista à Rádio Eldorado, que o Irã exerce o direito de defesa após ser atacado numa ação conjunta de Estados Unidos e Israel, mas não tem condições para superar o poderio militar dos dois países. Segundo ele, as negociações com os Estados Unidos sobre o programa nuclear iraniano estavam avançando até a semana passada, antes do início dos bombardeios no território iraniano. “Somando os poderios militares dos Estados Unidos e de Israel, é muito difícil o Irã se contrapor a isso. Não há condições de imaginar que o Irã possa ser páreo para os Estados Unidos. Mas o país tem que se defender, foi invadido contra as normas internacionais e em uma espécie de traição, já que as negociações estavam em curso, de modo que o Irã o que está fazendo é destruir a maior quantidade possível de bases americanas que estão na região”, afirmou.
