Yes, there was that other gimmicky meet this weekend, but we don't have time for that. There is real track to talk about it after all! Outdoor track is *finally* in swing, and there are some great story lines to discuss already. First, Kara and Des acknowledge that the last episode did indeed live up to its name. There was plenty of "hate mail" and feedback to go around. They discuss the polarizing opinions on it and if they would do anything differently. Then, they catch up on their own lives - Colt's mile PR and blazing fast Bolder Boulder (while a little under the weather no less), Des's return to running after her break, summers in Minnesota and Michigan, and plans for the live shows at Grandma's soon. Next, they get into all of the "real" track action from the weekend from the LA Track Fest and the Diamond League, before previewing a few exciting things to come later this summer. Parker Valby. Emma Coburn. Brandon Miller. Josh Kerr. Emily Mackay. Keely Hodgkinson. And more. From comebacks and PRs to WR attempts on deck. It's going to be a fun summer of track! Enjoy the Lever lift-up moments and the top 5 to close the episode. This one is for the track nerd and the aspiring track nerd! Oregon's Simeon Birnbaum joins the LetsRun.com Track Talk podcast after off a breakout NCAA indoor season. The former South Dakota high school phenom - who left the high school ranks #2 all-time at 1500 & 3200/2-mile - finished second in the NCAA indoor 3,000m and reveals the tactical mistake that cost him the title. Birnbaum says the Habtom Samuel DQ was "pretty soft" and discusses how running fast means nothing, all that matters is winning titles. He opens up about choosing Jerry Schumacher over other programs, the injuires that derailed his early college career, Schumacher's strict no-Strava policy, the NIL landscape for track athletes, and why he picked Diadora over Nike.

You have to hand it to Phillip Island: there's no track quite like it. I don't mean that metaphorically, by the way - it really is unique in two very specific ways. First of all, there's the fact that this track's high speeds and twisty turns demand the type of agile bike that normal aero cannot give you. The solution? An official exception from normal aero setup. Also, this lay-out of high-speed turns makes a fool out of holeshot devices. It all results in some fantastically old-school racing, even if the new tarmac means that the troubles of the tire game are no longer what they once were. (Of course, I don't have to tell you this if you're one of our amazing Patrons - you'll have already heard all about it in Peter's Track Talk!)So what happened? Well, Raúl Fernández finally made good on that promise he showed back in Moto2 by grabbing first place in his first-ever Grand Prix win. Coming from a completely different kind of underdog-position is Fabio Di Giannantonio, who fought his way through half the grid before snatching a second place from the jaws of potential defeat. And then there's Bagnaia, who's running stream of bad luck is something we really have to talk about. Alright, that's enough of me yapping. Hit play, enjoy, and cheers!Want more? In this episode, we dive into a growing issue in the RC racing community: track bashing. Whether it's on social media, in the pits, or between races, negative comments about tracks and events seem to be on the rise. But where do we draw the line between constructive criticism and plain disrespect? We explore why racers feel the need to speak out, how it impacts track owners and event organizers, and what it means for the future of our hobby. Is there a better way to give feedback without tearing each other down?Whether you've been on the receiving end or caught yourself venting a little too hard, this is a conversation the RC world needs to have.

Ferrari on top was a dream too good to be true. We had Piastri's first pole, Lewis' first sprint win, double Williams Points?? But sadly the highs didn't last long. Three disqualifications!! More RBR Second Seat nonsense!! What is going on in Formula 1? IndyCar is just as unpredictable - the only thing that we know to be true is Alex Palou is probably one of the best drivers in that series ever and Scotty Mac is our king.
