Did You Know before he wowed audiences in Art Of Revenge, actor StephAn Jenkins was the lead singer of a successful alt-rock band called Third Eye Blind? It's true. This week Dan and Bob push play 3EB's eponymous debut. They also read some Tweets from listeners, relive their 1997 tales of erotica, and remember some legends who have passed on (RIP Phife Dawg). This seems to be the season of ranting, from entertainment to politics, everyone has something to say; seemingly in a not so gracious way. For instance, Kanye West was hospitalized and admitted as rapper Jim Jones. This new development evolved after West, 39 stated that he "would've voted for Donald Trump". After that, the rapper dissed Beyonce and Jay Z, demanding that his one-time rap partner call him, but not kill him?? As a result, Kanye has since canceled the remaining 21 tour dates of Saint Pablo tour. Something to rave about, legendary Hip-Hop act, A Tribe Called Quest Sets Record For Longest Gap Between #1 Albums For A Hip Hop Act. "We Got It from Here...Thank You 4 Your Service is expected to be the final LP. Congrats to those guys - RIP Phife Dawg! In more coonery...BET co-founder, Bob Johnson described his recent meeting with Donald Trump, admitting that he was encouraged by Trump’s commitment in reaching out to African Americans. He said that they discussed a number of issues that if implemented will demonstrate that African-American’s have something to gain by establishing a common ground with President Elect Donald Trump; go figure. The "Hamilton" star who read a message from the stage to Vice President-elect Mike Pence says the cast has "nothing to apologize for" -- despite President-elect Donald Trump's angry tweets. "We recognize that 'Hamilton' is an inherently American story told by the definition of the American community," Dixon said, adding that the show's resonance "demands that we make statements when there are important issues, I think, facing us as a community." Pence said he wasn't offended. "I do want to say that the basic element, the center of that message is one I want to address and that is I know this is a very disappointing time for people that did not see their candidate win in this national election," Pence said on "Fox News Sunday." We also had Marcus Henry of the popular cable show "Ghost Brothers" on the Destination America and on IG @ghostbrotherstv and Twitter @ghostbrothers_. Also, we had in the building Mr. Cochise Hill (Columbia Records A&R/Check 1 Ent) to give us game on the A&R business and what he's currently working on. Check him on IG and Twitter @Check1Ent. Happy Thanksgiving to All - Check back with us next Wednesday!

This week's podcast feels like one straight out of 2011, with Chad getting angry about all sorts of things and just letting loose. The starting point for their discussion is the three-part series Tim Parks wrote for the New York Review of Books (part one, part two, part three), but they go on to talk about JellyBooks and what "moneyball" is, and then discuss a series of book covers. This week's music is "Buggin' Out" by A Tribe Called Quest. (RIP Phife Dawg. Tribe is has always been, and will forever be, the shit.) The death of Phife Dawg of A Tribe Called Quest has died and Hip-Hop mourns. AllHipHop and super DJ Just Dizle have joined forces to celebrate the life and times of the Queen-bred emcee. Phife was more than the other MC not named Q-Tip in ATCQ. He was an invaluable asset to the group's identity and a fixture in Hip-Hop. His words: “Hip-Hop will never die, yo.” Neither will Malik Taylor. Through the music and in our hearts, he remains. Enjoy
Jamsteady remixes a dope Hip Hop classic, ATCQ's Jazz (We've Got). RIP Phife Dawg.
