"How to Retire" (by Christine Benz) deals with a concept full of fear, emotion, math and uncertainty: retirement. Even the wealthiest, who have a margin of safety, run into issues of purpose, time management and legacy. Layer onto that the risks of longevity, dementia, divorce, managing cash and investments in inflationary times, and navigating the byzantine health and elder care systems. No wonder "retirement" is a scary topic. Christine Benz' new book "How to Retire" is here to help get our arms around this topic. With 20 interviews with experts in the field, Christine has written a terrific reference for retirees to get their arms around this stage in life. Her book covers the numbers, the emotion and the structure for people entering the golden years. CHRISTINE BENZ is director of personal finance and retirement planning for Morningstar and senior columnist for Morningstar.com. In that role, she focuses on retirement and portfolio planning for individual investors. She also co-hosts a podcast for Morningstar, "The Long View", which features in-depth interviews with thought leaders in investing and personal finance. https://www.amazon.com/How-Retire-lessons-successful-retirement-ebook/dp/B0CP5X3TYK/ How to Retire How to Retire with Christine Benz The Numbers (Funding Retirement and Resilient Investing) The Transition to Retirement (AKA "The Countdown") With a plan in mind, what is the role a Dry Run with Retirement? In this series on water, the one area that I've left out so far is the urban landscape. In this week's episode I got to chat with Jerry Yudelson, the author of 13 full-length professional and trade books on green buildings, integrated design, green homes, water conservation, building performance and sustainable development. Dubbed ‘The Godfather of Green' by Wired Magazine, Jerry's passion for optimizing the built environment is reflected by his many years of professional experience in the green building and certification fields, serving as an elected LEED Fellow and as president of the Green Building Initiative. He also served on the national board of the USGBC and chaired the Steering Committee for the largest green building show, Greenbuild, from 2004 through 2009. Despite being best known for ecological building design and policy, in this interview we're going to focus on his book Dry Run, which unpacks some of the best ways to manage scarce water resources and handle upcoming urban water crises. The book explains the most pressing water issues that urban zones face, and examines the vital linkages between water, energy use, urban development and climate change. Dry Run also demonstrates best practices for achieving “net zero” water use in the built environment through, water conservation strategies for buildings, factories, cities and homes, rainwater harvesting, greywater reuse and water reclamation systems, water efficiency retrofits, onsite sewage treatment, and new water reuse and supply technologies. In this interview we specifically address the urgent changes that cities need to make to ensure longer term water security. Jerry explains his classifications of the colors of water that help to categorize the different sources and uses for water in cities that require different management systems, and gives a few case studies of municipalities that have started to make improvements in their aquatic infrastructure.

The Other Side of the Story with Tom Harris – Dr. Prentice explains how the COVID lockdowns were, in many ways, a dry run for “climate lockdowns” to come. How much government control, even for absurd reasons, would the population tolerate in the name of protecting our health? It turns out a great deal, indeed. Unless we effectively push back, this will...
In this episode we ask whether the recent spate of Chinese spy balloons were actually a trial run for a future EMP attack from high altitude balloons. We also ask why those in power have refused to do anything about the many unidentified and unexplained incursions into United States airspace.
In tonight's segment, we discuss a slew of events that have unfolded over the past six months from continual attacks on power substations, acts of terrorism, mysterious antennas appearing, and the recent flight disruptions that spanned across America, Canada, and even the UK. Are all of these events just random or are we being set up for a larger event in the future?

Live from the No Panic Zone—I'm Steve Gruber—I am America's Voice—God Bless America—God Bless You and let's do this! This is the Steve Gruber show— I am here to pass out Red Pills like the left passes out Covid Vaccines— you need some water with that? Here are three big things you need to know right now— ONE— The King of the Globalists, George Soros has given $1 Million dollars to Robert—I mean Beto O'Rourke in his pointless bid to become Governor of Texas—But that's how it works— TWO— The Mayor of New York is complaining that his city just cannot handle the few hundred illegals shipped to him by Texas and Arizona and is begging for federal aid— THREE— Was Covid just a dry run? And a DRESS REHEARSEL to work you into accepting lockdowns and having your righ? And all for the better good and of course—for the children? President Trump declared a national emergency on March 13, 2020 to deal with the rapidly spreading Covid-19 pandemic—and put the federal government to work trying to corral the disease in its early stages— It failed as you well know—we are two and a half years into 15 days to flatten the curve—and when that power was in the hands of Governors and Mayors too—they did a lot more than flatten the curve— They celebrated their powers every day—they flaunted it and they flattened the economy, the schools and the Constitution all at once— They had real power and they used it! Well, that entire painful 2-year episode may have been child's play compared to what Feeble Joe and the socialists are working on now— because the talk now is that Biden is ready to declare a National Climate Emergency— No Joke, and assembling the power of 130 agencies to do anything they see fit to stop Global Warming— ANYTHING—PERIOD— He stopped short yesterday—BUT he put it out there— By doing so— AND if it's not stopped in its tracks by federal courts—Biden would unchain himself from the pesky oversight of Congress and YOU THE VOTERS AND therefore—he and the alphabet agencies could run roughshod over everyone—you and me included— The Constitution would be a mere distraction— The Washington Post is among those issuing the dire warning that America's use of fossil fuels requires us to declare Climate as a national emergency— even though the facts do not suggest it is even remotely reasonable— It is quite remarkable—considering the world's biggest countries, India and China are building coal fired power plants by the score and as fast as they can—in the EU 45 are being built right now—dozens more are in process from Africa to Central and South America— The alleged Climate Crisis by the way—is apparently only happening in America too—where you must learn to live without using your car, pay an SUV tax, not use air conditioning deal with rolling blackouts and a whole lot more—because you know—SCIENCE— In the rest of the world—the use of coal, oil and natural gas is expanding—even The European Union is building 45 new coal fired plants—and every coal fired electrical generation station in Germany is back up and running—because they know the deal they struck with Russia—the one Donald Trump warned them against—has put them into a deep hole—and this winter could put them in a deep freeze across the nation— The war on farmers is being previewed in The Netherlands where Dutch farmers are being told they have to cut nitrogen emissions massively—to the point that they will not even be able to continue—or else the government will seize their lands and kill their cows—either way they are getting destroyed— They are told it is the pursuit of sustainable agriculture—like that outlined in the United Nations newly updated Agenda 2030—but even far left wingers like Russell Brand can see through that lie— US Presidents have declared 60 national emergencies since 1976—many of which are still in effect by the way— including the Covid-19 declaration issued by President Trump and just extended again by President Biden— One of the tools Biden could use—would be banning the export of American Oil according to an outfit called The Center for Biological Diversity and its energy justice program— by banning all oil exports not only would Biden toss tens of thousands of Americans out of work—and crush American energy companies—but it could also reduce global emissions—BUT of course there is little to back that up—because other countries will ramp up more production— One of the big winners will be the small nation of Guyana—where the biggest oil strike in decades was found in 2017—and is now controlled by Exxon Mobil—so if the US pulls this dangerous stunt at home—others will surely fill the gap and the impact on emissions globally will be less than zero—BUT the impact on America could be devastating and permanent— and sadly its clear—they don't care because they do have an agenda— even basic facts about math don't matter— And at some point you have to accept that the whole point of Agenda 2030—it is to re-shuffle the world deck of nations and who has the power— envy of America abroad and self-loathing from home grown socialists could deliver a death blow to our great republic—BUT not on my watch— We will fight back and will not comply to mindless regulations that have nothing to do with organic farming—like Russell Brand said—or the children— This has to do with just one thing—POWER, PERIOD! Let's review the long list of power hungry socialists—that proclaim climate as a national security issue—while flying in private jets, dining on private yachts—and leaving bigger carbon footprints than many small countries—they are dishonest pigs—BUT remember all animals are equal—some are just more equal than others—

The Eastern Corn Belt has been on a hot, dry run so far this year. Host Sal Sama is joined by returning guest Aaron Bledsoe on this episode of The High Ground, powered by Premier Companies, headquartered in Seymour, Indiana. Aaron is the Grain Merchandiser for Premier Companies, and as such, he's got a front row seat to see the fluctuations in the market.Aaron and Sal discuss a variety of topics including break even prices, weather, what drove the market fluctuations, and acreage reports. Aaron also talks about how inflation, a potential recession, and changing oil prices curb demand. Sal also covers the risk management tools that are available including a new program called Impact RX to help cover growers, share the risk, and help finish strong. “You don't want to go out there and try to protect this and make as many bushels as you can and not have a marketing plan on the backside of this to try to limit your risk out there.”
