We finally welcome George Feucht, friend of the Cinepod and frequent collaborator of Ben Rock's. George has shot many of Ben's directorial projects, such as the web series, 20 Seconds To Live and the short film, Future Boyfriend. Cinematographer George Feucht grew up in a small town in Wisconsin, where the closest movie theater was about 20 miles away. Working on high school and local theater productions gave George an education in lighting. He also learned photography, getting a job as a photo journalist for the local newspaper. Once George enrolled in USC film school, he learned about storytelling and set etiquette. He realized that becoming a cinematographer brought all of these skills together. After college, George began working as an electrician and cameraman for home improvement and reality TV shows. He enjoyed working on reality shows because it's challenging work- setting up and lighting shots, yet with little to no control over the unscripted action. He then made his first feature, Dance of the Dead with his friend, director Greg Bishop. They worked together again on a horror feature called Siren. George began working on Jimmy Kimmel Live! shooting comedy bits such as “Mean Tweets” outside the studio for the field department. They often have to shoot the sketches on the same day the show airs. George says the secret to working so fast is to have a great team, with great producers who figure out all the logistics. The writers are also incredible, coming up with something brilliant that can be done in a very limited timeframe, often with very famous A-list actors. It's an unpredictable and challenging job that changes every day, but George enjoys being a part of making something funny. For the improvised, man on the street comedy bits, he has to pull his own focus and try to get the comedy timing right. Everyone on the crew feels like a family, and George enjoys watching Jimmy working during the rehearsals. Jimmy Kimmel Live! is dark for now because of the writer's strike. Fortunately, George has been able to stay employed shooting commercials. Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs every weeknight on ABC. If you could be given total fulfillment — absolute, complete and universally satisfying fulfillment — but it only lasted for 30 seconds, then you'd die… would that be preferable to, instead, live a life for 75 years filled with suffering, struggle and uncertainty on the possibility that you may find fulfillment along the way? The answer to that question may seem obvious. But there's a lot more to the answering of it that breaks through to the true value of living. ----- Get you copy of "Consciousness Reality & Purpose" on Amazon.com TODAY: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BS5FWLBK Subscribe to the Social Disorder Substack: https://thesocialdisorder.substack.com/ This episode is made possible by: BioPro+: https://bioproteintech.com/product/biopro-plus and DrewJitsu Online academy Sign up to get 2 week FREE to a library of over 550+ Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Technique videos taught by your host - Drew Weatherhead!   Back in 1999, I landed on an aircraft carrier ...for the first time ...at night. Between us, I almost killed myself. Making matters worse, all of my fellow pilots were watching from an observation platform called “Vulture’s Row” (and apparently my near demise was particularly funny to them). You can catch the whole story here. The analogy is perfect: our country is headed into the water while our leaders laugh (and perhaps occasionally fiddle). That’s why this next Episode of Ed Talks is all about HOW TO FIX AMERICA. (Hint: the solution is not even that hard.) Powerful Moments in The Republic of Vulture’s Row (Ed Talks : Episode 2) 0:10 - What Do You Do When You Have 10 Seconds To Live? 3:15 - America’s Foundational Principle (aka...the One We’ve LOST) 6:50 - Political Amnesia or Outright Theft? (You Decide) 10:05 - The Soul of America 11:45 - What Would You Do With $10 Million Dollars? 13:35 - Innovation Station (And Other Things That Rhyme with Nation) 15:20 - Take a Little Action, Get a BIG Result 950 miles an hour. That’s fast. But it’s not nearly as fast as Ed Rush flew in his combat career as a decorated F-18 pilot which included over 50 combat missions and 2 tours to Iraq. While in the Marines, Ed served as one of the country’s leading instructors on aerial dog fighting and recently worked as a key player in the development of the new F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. After 2 combat tours to Iraq, Ed left full-time active duty to speak, write, and share a message that will change the world. He’s a 5-Time #1 Best Selling Author and Amazon’s #1 Business Author. Ed’s clients range from small startups to multi-million dollar – multi-national organizations and include CEOs, founders, political leaders, sports teams, national universities, and Hollywood stars.

Better Questions Better Life Podcast (Formerly the Why 2 Podcast)

From a challenging upbringing, having only 60 seconds to live, being on the brink of financial ruin, receiving death threats, and everything in between, Travis is the first to say that he shouldn't be successful. But he is! he is! He has successfully started multiple multi-million dollar businesses over the last few years and shows no signs of stopping!  Frankly speaking, Travis Jones hardly needs an introduction. But, just in case you haven’t heard of Travis, he is the Managing Director of the RBT gyms, runs a Small Business Consulting company, a Digital Agency called Think Tank, and if that’s not impressive enough, he’s also just in the process of launching a Health and Fitness App. Travis’s story is absolutely incredible, to say the least, as we explore how we went from a professional rugby player, to having just 60 seconds to live, to starting and growing various multi-million dollar businesses. I’ve wanted to interview Travis for a long time now, and he was actually the first person I wrote down on my list of future guests, as I believe he embodies the spirit of the Why 2 podcast in that anything is possible as he came from a disadvantaged background and has battled uphill to get the success he has now. From selling his car to scrape enough money to open his first gym that he had to live in, to getting his life threatened, and watching him hustle and grind to make his dream a reality today through all the make or break moments, I don’t want to say anything else to introduce him because the simple truth of Travis’s story is one that you need to just hear from himself - even if you just give it 10 or 20 minutes.   Connect with Travis on Facebook, Facebook and Linkedin.
